Man after 20 years off the board Andy has inspired me to get a new deck I was combat sports and got injured cleared to skate not fight so I got a new set up.
Mikey was the best! He was the first pro I ever met. It was a Skatelab around 2002. Always approachable with me and my brother who were groms at the time. He always killed the handrail with his nollie tricks. A true inspiration and role model. So sick!
I met mike Taylor when I was like 12ish at zumiez couch tour still have the shirt signed . Daewon song, Brandon Biebel, and Jeremy Roger's all signed it too. ❤

I used to watch his In Bloom part everyday after school and then went to CA and ran into him and some of his friends at skatelab and he noticed I wasn’t taking turns but just watching the older guys skate. He encouraged me to go ahead of him for the stair set there and I remember thinking how cool he was for that. I ended up with a career in real estate and then noticed that he did too. What a coincidence. But of course I STILL skate! 🛹🤟
Andy got so much hate when he started coming up but now everyone loves him and that's such a cool turnaround. Mikey gonna Mikey, haha. You gotta try and do an episode with Mark Normand. That would be super fun.
