One day in 1983 I was standing out waiting for my school bus to pick me up. When the bus arrived there was a substitute driver. This new driver had on a different radio station than the usual country easy listening. Motley Crue was blasting and I was forever changed into a metal head. I never looked back.

It's about a girl, sometimes using a car as an analogy/metaphor/simile. Lots of metal songs use metaphors to talk about girls, even lots of rock n roll from the 50's did that.

If you guys want to see how crazy rock was in the 80s, you need to watch The Dirt. It's a movie based on the biography of Motley Crue. You can't even imagine the stuff they did and the movie doesn't even cover half the stuff in the book.

I first heard this in junior high school, and to this day it still gives me goosebumps when I hear it, just like that first time. I didn't have any particular musical preference up through age 14, then I heard "No One Like You" by the Scorpions, which also still gives me goosebumps 40 years later. A couple of months later I heard this, and I was hooked: a metalhead was born. And when Crue played Seattle on this album's tour, the next day the school changed: Motley Crue shirts, bandannas, hats, etc., being worn by HALF the school.

Check out the heavier version of Motley Crue from their self-titled album from 1994. Smoke the Sky, Uncle Jack, Misunderstood or Till Death Do Us Part. The album with vocalist/rhythm guitarist John Corabi. Freed up Mick Mars to play lead guitar. His best guitar work so far

You should do their demo video Live Wire if you want to see who is who in the band. They have some theatrics even in that early version of the band.

You’re right. Music videos distract from a first reaction. I like the music and lyrics combo.

The song is about a black Corvette that Nikki Sixx owned. This is the song that inspired me to become a musician. This was the LA sound.

Classic raw first album Motley Crue songs tinged with punk, metal/hard rock influences to react to: Live Wire, Piece of Your Action, Too Fast For Love. IMO the best Motley album!!

Please to do there song PRIMAL SCREAM it’s one of my favorite Motley Crue songs! Nikki Sixx wrote there songs, he was abandoned by his father at 3 and felt abandoned by his mother at 6 and lived on and off with his grandparents and became homeless at 13 moved to LA and had a dream of becoming a rockstar and lived and rocked on the sunset strip, formed one of the biggest bands in history Motley Crue and became a addict, he’s been in sobriety for 20 years but did use Primal Scream therapy as a tool to deal with the trauma of the pain from feeling abandoned as a child! Primal Scream therapy is a therapeutic technique in which the client is encouraged to re-experience traumatic early childhood experiences and react vocally and physically to release the psychic pain associated with them! In the song Primal Scream you just crank this song up, it’s loud and raw and helps you feel like you can just let whatever your feeling out, I think people can relate to the lyrics Nikki wrote in this song, if you been thru something it feels good to just let it out, even if you have to scream to do it! Anyway I hope you check this song out it’s a banger love ❤️ the sound of it the guitar the drums the lyrics, let see what you guys think when you react to it🤟🙌🎶
