I love that Lex can mentally put herself into the era the music was made. "I was picturing Hooters, big ol' cha cha's in his face, and he's super drunk." Pretty close Lex. Say whatever you're thinking, viewers can't get enough.
Hooters has great chicken......
@@gazurtoids1 m
Hooters is and was pretty lame compared to the strip joints and biker hangouts of the 80's Hollywood. The back cover and the inner sleeve of the vinyl album gives the right picture.
EVERY strip club in the world, especially the one's specifically named in the song, have played this tune, every night.
The #5 is the closest one to me. been there once or twice.
Indeed!
And all the strippers come out looking for lap dance customers. Brad knows this and you could tell he didn't want Lex to know that he knew.
I used to dance to this at the body shop on sunset. This is literally a song callin out the classic strip clubs of the 80s
It's funny in the song how they say the Dollhouse in Fort Lauderdale but actually it was in Pompano right down the street from where I used to live. I guess the Dollhouse in Pompano just didn't sound as good. Plus everybody knows Fort Lauderdale.
Yes!
@@jpoorr9973 not sure where you got that from it was actually filmed in LA at the seventh veil strip club on sunset boulevard
@@goofball3236 I'm not talking about where it was filmed. I'm talking about the lyrics
ahh the good ole days when you ladies were all about caring about putting on a show and physically going all out on the stage, every.single.time. i do know so many girls in the business who are sick of the song but its an era song for the clubs, where Pornstar Dancing is an updated strip club anthem imo.
You need to check out the official video. Pretty much what you imagined, Lex.
Exactly!
Yes the unrated version.
These guys, more than any other band by a mile, lived the wild rock star life that everyone pictures when saying "party like a rockstar".
Led Zeppelin too
Nikki sixx died twice and he's still alive
I don't care what anybody says, Guns N Roses took it to a whole 'nother level. GNR were just one big traveling debauched bacchanal on steroids
@@Britton_Thompson I’ve read slash’s autobiography, the dirt, and the heroin diaries. Slash may have been on the same level as Nikki & Tommy but those three were certifiably insane
@@Britton_Thompson there’s a video here on UA-cam talking about Guns trying to out drink the Crüe one night. Long story short, Slash was carried back to his hotel room. Remember, the Crüe didn’t just drink Jack Daniels, they literally mainlined that shit!
Lex, watch the video; you will just crack up! Brad’s eyes will get real wide!
This song is totally about strip clubs. They list strip clubs around the world in the lyrics.
When you react to Motley Crue’s song Wildside, I strongly recommend reacting to the video which is just concert footage but amazing concert footage. It should be a crime to react to that one without the video.
Thanks for another great reaction.
Amen
watch the unrated video.
@@scubaluis1964 yes!
I mean he names multiple strip clubs in the song it doesn't take a rocket scientist
Jesus, guys, how about something different once in a while? It's almost always the same two or three Motley songs getting requested for these reaction videos, and with other bands it's almost always the same two or three songs by them. Like someone requests Scorpions and you know the first on the list is going to be Winds of Change, even though it's far from their best song, or someone requests Aerosmith and you know there's an excellent chance it's going to be I Don't Want to Miss a Thing or Cryin'. I can only guess that all the people requesting these videos were a certain age at some point when these were mostly the only songs being played by these bands on their local iHeartMedia/Clear Channel radio station and so these songs are all they think of when they think of these bands.
Never thought I’d hear Lex say ‘big ol cha cha’s’ and ‘Hooter has good chicken’ in the same video. You are a national treasure!
Lex is FANTASTIC,,,,👍😎
To this day (Sept/25/21) I'm still amazed that all four members of Motley Crue are still alive. Heaven doesn't want them and Hell is afraid they'll take over. 🤔🤯🤕
🤣
F N A! 🤘🥳💥♥️🌹💋
Motley gets a pass on all the cheesy 80s crap because they invented it. I tend to like darker more musically ambitious metal but the Crue, will always have a special place with me just because of the dirty disrepute of it all. Glad I got to see them live when they were still dangerous and could sort of still sing
If this song could claim royalties from strip clubs using it, it would be the most profitable song in the history of rock.
Clubs technically do have to pay royalties for the music they play. Not just strip clubs, but night clubs, bars, pretty much any public venue is required to pay royalties/fees to play licensed music. Do they all actually do that? Probably not, but technically they are supposed to lol
@@ninja_tonyThey pay through PRSPPL fee ratings mostly calculated on the amount of footfall based on the primary front of house speaker system
This song was written way before Hooters existed. It's about strip clubs. A lot of the popular strips clubs at the time around the world are named in the song. It's about them driving around on bikes going to different strip clubs.
Hooters started in 1983...so.,....unless your referring to the old coasters song this came after. But yes it is definitely about the gentleman's clubs.
I've seen Motley Crue play at least 6 times in the last 10 years. This one's one of the first 3 songs. It was meant to be played live, sounds amazing in a sold out arena. It gets a pop, everyone jumps to their feet. Tommy Lee on the drums, he's a force of nature. Vince can still sing . . . Mick Mars and Nikki Sixx - great muscians!
“What Vince? Where?”
Gets me every time....
This tour was the first concert I went to and it was absolute debauchery. Saw a seat jumper get his feather earring ripped out of his ear, pot smoke so thick you could barely see the stage, Tommy Lee (the dummer) in his drum set that went in the air and rotated all over after downing a half bottle of Jack Daniels. Just chaos for 2 1/2 hrs. Good times. Lol
I know you guys do lyric videos but when you do Motley Crue - Girls, Girls Girls you really need to play the video for it. For those that haven't seen, which I can't believe, here it is
ua-cam.com/video/d2XdmyBtCRQ/v-deo.html
Church
Agree. They've went to all lyric videos which is no bueno.
Amen
Yeah, the lyrics are just a list of strip clubs anyway.
HaHa
You can almost hear the DJ at the beginning saying "please welcome to the main stage Amber" 🤣🤣🤣
So, this is actually the album version, not live. You should definitely watch the actual video. You pretty much hit the nail on the head. I wonder how hard it would be to edit in the lyric video, but actually react to the original. If you were to check out their "Wild Side" video, the music is the album release, but the video is live footage.
Anyway, Lex's imagination got it fairly spot on. Lol. Great reaction! 🤘🏻
Honestly 75% of the reason I watch these is to see the reactions to mostnig the videos. If they aren't gonna play the videos there's no point in watching. More like 95%. Last three all they had was lyrics.
@Eric Sinister I like to see the video myself usually and to see people react to the videos and to the artists. Many times the videos help explain the songs and or even become bigger than the song. Otherwise they may as well just be listening to the radio
I know the reason they use lyric videos is to avoid copyright and UA-cam flagging, but I watched Brad and Lex's "Cribs" video, and I know they're using dual monitors. Maybe they could watch the actual music video, while what we see is the lyric video. Idk.
@@phandnot ya I thought that during a Billy idol reaction she said something about his hair. I asked if they were like you say watching the video for the song while we have to watch lyrics. Thanks
I grew up on all these 80's bands! They are all awesome!😎
LOL I was a DJ in a strip club for a time. At shift change, all the ladies would go up on stage - the called it the cattle call. And of course, this was the song we often played.
Motley Crue “Primal Scream “ is the banger guys🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
My first metal concert was Girls Girls Girls tour, the drum kit that came out over the audience was legendary. You need to watch a video. Also GNR was opening band. Appetite for Destruction was about to be released.
You should watch the official video for this song... 😄
One big party.... 😎
Saw them in concert on this tour in Georgia and it was crazy, girls taking their clothes off in the crowd, that show was nuts.....😃
"I feel like a lot of fun was had to that song" 🤣🤣🤣🍻
Knew a girl in high school that went on to be in this video. Also fun fact, I have been known to have been in every establishment mentioned in this song. Thank you US Navy!
Man how times have changed. Imagine the shit storm that would ensue if this song were released today.
Man, talk about memories of partying in the 80s. Jesus....Thanks for a great reaction.
cant tell you how much money I spent rockin in Atlanta at Tattletales during the '80s & '90s - PEACE LOVE n HIPPYNESS!
Your channel is always a great time! Love the reactions!🤘
Needed to play the actual video to this one. really demands a greater appreciation
Definitely need to check out the video on your own time, it helps with the visuals 🤣🤟🔥
Motley crue was the best glam rock band ever
I remember when this song came out. It was a big hit. I can remember hearing it blaring from people’s car stereos riding through my neighborhood. I think I was about 13 or 14.
Yall definitely should have done the official video on this one
I always like Theater of Pain album from Crue, Same ol Situation and wild side being my fave songs over all
I went to the Dollhouse when I turned 21 and it wasn't in Ft. Lauderdale it was in Pompano Beach FL. It's been long gone for many years, now it's shopping plaza at that location, what a surprise 🤔🤨
My favorite 80s hard rock band
They're Sunset Strip folks, boutiques, restaurants, rock clubs, and nightclubs. Whisky A Go Go · The Viper Room · The Roxy Theatre · Sunset Marquis - Café Trocadero Ciros · Macambo · Pandora's Box and of course, The Rainbow Room
Lex heard 3 notes and says "definite strip club song..." The best
She called it immediately😆🤣😂
My boyfriend actually wants this to be our wedding song. For real. He thought it'd upset me but all I could do was laugh at the suggestion. Hey, at least it'd be a fun time, right?
This is one of the groups I totally related to out here in LA. It was such a great era to hangout on Hollywood boulevard and Sunset . Crazy , fun times.
Lex "hooters has great chicken"🤣🤣🔥
Yup, always heard this one in the strip clubs back in the day(late 90s early 2000s) good times!
This is 80s sleeve to the finest! And I love it! I was like 13! The video was cool, MTV would never show it now!
I love this song so powerful, and the album is great, those guys had all the girls they wanted for sure
GREAT video guy's, motley Crew was totally awesome 💯 growing up in the 80s was the Greatest decade of all time💯
Ooooooo the heady days of the Sunset Strip! Coke, strippers, and head-bangin' ROCK!! Damn I miss the good ol' days...
I love the shout out to the marble Arch in Vancouver, miss that place
Yes I agree. need to do official videos
This was a big song! Still remember cranking it up in my white mustang. Cruising the ave with my girlfriends, hanging out the window and the boys in the other cars singing to us GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS 🤣🤣🤣
Motley Crue definitely had their share of fun back in the 80's. Fun and hot 🔥band at the same time.
Really need video for this track ! 😁😉✌️👍🇬🇧🙏
The Crue were the perennial party rock band of the 1980s. I can still clearly remember when this song came out - it was right at the end of my sophomore year in high school, and it defined fun for the entire summer for me and my buddies. Couldn't have come out at a better time. Girls, girls, girls indeed!
You have to see the video. Girls girls girls was actually also the name of a famous strip club in Hollywood where some segments were filmed. They also mention several other famous strip clubs :)
A good reaction from the pair of you. Lex you have a very creative mind. You describe a song as if you were a record producer !
Brad and Lex when yall say you think you heard an old song before but you can't place where you heard it you may have heard it in one of 3 places. Either in an old TV commercial that sold compilation songs of different bands in one album and they would play snippets of each song or in a movie or in a sports game.
Song is literally just about going to the strip club with motorcycles. They name drop like 6 different spots too.
So many *#QUESTIONS**...* Is *Brad* denying he went to the *Strip Club,* or is he just denying he heard this particular song in the *Strip Club...lol🤭*
👏👏👏👏😂😂😂😂
All of those places that were mentioned in the song were famous strip clubs back in the day
Bikers, bar fights, strip clubs. You've just nailed the music video!
Used to live in Ft Lauderdale. Been to "Thee Doll House" (their spelling) often.
Need to watch the official video!
You need to watch the film clip. Just sayin'
i used to listen to this on radio back then when it came out. i was 16 years old.
They definitely Rocked No Question about that...
Being you've just kinda started listening to Motley Crue,
Some may have already suggested this
But you both are missing out by not watching the actual video's of these classic song's...
Was always a great show!!
Especially maybe redo the reactions to Kick Start My Heart & Girls Girls Girls
For a better intake of these songs..
Thanks for checking The Crue out & Keep Rockin!
Cheers from Canada
That’s right, B, deny to the end!😆
In the summer of 1987 this song became the “international” song of all strip clubs and has been ever since.
Speaking from experience being a 25 years vet DJ/MC in the business.
I used to use it to do what can be called a lot of different things like the “cattle call” which I bet the “dancers” didn’t liked it being called.
That’s also another thing. You have to call them “dancers” cuz you’ll offend them by calling them “strippers”. Even “Entertainers” was excepted.
But I would edit all music and start with Crue’s Girls intro as the start of the “free table dance”.
I can't believe Lex did not see the video. Your description fits the video exactly.
Did a lot of drinking in the 90s at one of those strip clubs... the marble arch..in Vancouver
Some songs just need the video accompaniment. I love this video
Play this song cranked up while heading the shore for a long weekend with the guys
grew up hearing this song so the first night i spent in la i went to the body shop lol
Saw a Motley Crue concert in the 80s and then went to Tattletales strip club in Atlanta. They showed up and played this song. Great night!
Seeing The Crue olive in The 80's Was a Wild Show For Sure🤘😎❗
Sound track of our lives
LOL I'm a chick and even I know you should watch the actual music video. It's like needing to watch Van Halen's "Hot For Teacher". Sometimes you need the visuals to get to what they're singing about. Well, okay maybe you could imagine/remember it for yourself but it's just funnier that way. 😂
I love guitar hero! My kids totally got into the music 😊
It's freaking awesome how she described the video without ever seeing it. Lol
😃 you guys are awesome🤘 you definitely know your metal music one great song after another 🤘😝🤘
Had a good friend and she liked girls and this was her favorite song. Anytime we went anywhere she would yell play the damn song. lol
I went to tattletales in Atlanta when i was 22 a long time ago
Wild Side is an absolute must!
The video is so much better to watch😍😂😎
Motley Crue is my favorite band to this day, and I love this song/album! Sorry to say, but the lyric video for this one does it ZERO justice...food for thought. I too love Hooters chicken, boneless style with Chipotle-Honey sauce and ranch dressing :-)
This was my favorite song as a child. 🤘😈🤘
Awww man....wanted to see reaction to this video. Wanted to watch Lex flip out.
YEP blasted this all the way to beach BOY!
You heard the song at Tattletale lounge in Atlanta. 🤣
Motley Crue considers Dr. Feelgood to be their signature song.
This was the MTV days🤣🤣 I was never into these type of bands. B95 was the radio station to listen to in the 80’s in SE Texas on the beach 🏖
I’m sorry Brad didn’t get to see the video😳
Among the best glam bands ever. 😎
The Best. The Bad Boys of Rock and Roll.
The Dollhouse is still open in Fort Lauderdale.
Ya got to watch the video - makes the 🎵 better. Speaking of "the clubs"..... !! Lol 😆
Don't know if they still do ,it's been awhile since I watched basketball, but they used to play thus alot when the cheerleaders were performing. It was also popular in strip clubs..lol
That groove!
💪🏻
Classic!
You guys totally cracked me up Brad no offense always looks a bit distant and at times confused lol but I know he's into it if he likes it and lexs is always rockin out and giggling and making noises lol you guys are good together thanks for your reaction always fun seeing someone hear a song for the first time ..takes me back Great reaction guys keep spreading that music around.
ROCK-n-ROLL baby!!!!
You really need to listen to some W.A.S.P., chainsaw Charlie, the last command, drunk in Texas, LOVE, I wanna be somebody…or really any of their songs. 80’s sleaze metal
Blind in Texas
