SebAtreyu I think it's high time we come together as a community freeform or twist! No matter the flavor of your locs we are one nation, the Loc Nation!
Some great advice here especially for first timer dreadheads.... only thing I would add is to actually EMBRACE them in this early stage and OWN the look... confidence plays a huge factor in determining the stamina of the person rocking the locs in the long run... building confidence slowly is a journey in itself! Subscribed now, digging the locs too man... great content, subscribe to my journey when you can
My locs look exactly like yours just a lil thicker and im loving it but where im from people are not used to it and they look at me weird im still being patient as u say
I just started my loc journey today with comb coils. Does the whole salt water and lime spray work? Also does water and oil in a spray bottle helpful to keep moisturized?
joseph moorer nah stay away from any petroleum based products they will kill your locs. Tbh stay away from too much conditioning early on save for occasional coconut oil
I'm trying to free form, washed my hair the first time in a week and everything loosened. Just basically have a fro now. Should I stop washing the hair or is there a way I prevent the locks loosening after washing?

sponging how can i wash my hair without deforming the twists
Ken W. you will wash out some of the twists, your best bet is wear a cap when you wash and don't scrub super vigorous.
Ken W. wash in the motion u twisted it

Its gone come apart when u wash in the beginning stages but after its dries it comes back together
Paschal Ukweze Also, if you freeforming, it takes like 8-10 months for your hair to lock up
Paschal Ukweze Last Reply: Your hair is gonna loosen when u wash it, be patient
Can freeform retwist ??
