BRP (not 'BPR'), LOL. Good job installing the starter. Looking forward to the electrical repair video.

That will be nice to have as a back up. They pull start pretty easy. Ben, you do not need a trail for that sled. WHO cares if the trail is closed. Go find an open field and shred it up. Get a shovel if you need one if the snow is deep to dig out. Dont worry about getting stuck as long as you have that shovel you will be able to get out. Eyes up looking ahead. Just point and go. Dont look at the object you want to not hit. Instead look at where you want the sled to go and give it the throttle. I suggest you get some armor for when you fall off the sled. Shin guards and a check protector and back protector are highly recommended any time you ride that sled. Also hook up that tether to your wrist so when you fall off you can kill that motor with the cord.

Your "BRP dealer" did a great job on that install!

My 2016 Arctic cat ZR8000 comes with the recoil from the factory. 🙂 I won't lie, I do like how the handle stays hidden behind the side panel!

Hi Ben… I had a starter issue on my SkiDoo Gen 4 and I installed the BRP pull starter. After about 50 pulls the plastic pawl wore down and made it useless. Thankfully it was the next season and the warranty had just expired so I got to buy a second one a year later. 🤦‍♂️

To get those hard to reach bolts back in, stuff like that and clutch covers mostly, i use one of those flexible, spring loaded grabber tools. Grab the head of the bolt with it and can usually turn it a few threads, enough to start it, and then grabs my socket. Always worked pretty good. Any progress on the sportsman starter issue??

@@SwankyCatProductions yep could have been a bad batch, even tried an upgraded billet pawl from an eBay seller but didn’t work was the wrong size, of course they wouldn’t respond when we reached out for correct part.
