Better than anything on TV at the moment (2023)👍🤙🇦🇺
2024
this was by far the best tv program i've seen in a long time.

Mal was the real deal. I used to watch him & Harry Butler with my Dad. These 3 men gave me a love of the bush t& nature hat I carry to this day
One of the most wonderful programs I’ve encountered you tube in a while. Thank u kindly for posting this.
I first watched Malcolm when I was a young boy 40 years later and I can still sit back and enjoy the show . What an Aussie icon and and legend
Agreed mate!
My old man introduced me to him when I was about 8/9??? We had to usher a truck to Darwin with supplies for the military. We also had sone of his gear I board as well. I thought he was just old man but my old man told me who he was. We went fishing that afternoon and caught a monster GT
Just found him today ...Obviously here in the states we didn't know about this man..but I wished we did ...Truly an Aussie Legend
Malcolm and Alby were on the Travel Channel in the states in the 1990s
Best stuff on there !
I had never heard of Malcom Douglas till I found him on You tube. He is without a doubt one if not the greatest survival expert of modern times. He has my ultimate respect and may his legend live on and inspire others.
Before everyone else there was Malcolm Douglas. Absolute legend!
A great Australian.
Best way to cook fish at the end there. I did it every time I was out bush.
Truly remarkable man. Treasure of Australia.
I visited the country in 95 I only arrived on a one way flight on my own with 800 ozzy dollars in my pocket..I wanted to travel round the country but found myself having to work all the time to pay my way..I did go to Byron bay for Christmas and new year’s but mostly I was trapped in Sydney...I hope to go back and do it properly this time and head straight up north..
Even most regular Aussies don't head over that way mate too expensive
He was in a league of his own
Thank you for another great video ,great escapism for those of trapped in the city or suffering from bad health and unable to get out into nature .so down to earth and knowledgeable it was a different time when television wasn’t full of fake drama and repeated footage.hats off to m.d
He's able to catch decent size cod in the shallow waters. That's amazing to say the least
"Its pretty ruggered tucker"......LOL.... I nearly fell off the end of my seat in laughter...
Malcom is the best surviving person ❤️
agreed, this series is brilliant much the same as bush tucker man, real tv
I didn’t expect him to pull out the magnifying glass haha, but he did show us both methods 👍
One of the most use bits of survival techniques is that water one in the beginning. I’ve never seen that. Brilliant
me again.........this man has changed my life. Australia is on my bucket list
i know his name is Malcolm
Love this guy, his such an iconic Australian.
Start from Perth or Darwin and make your way to the Kimberly region. Special place the Bungle Bungles, incredible sights to see and yes the tribals still exist, incredible race of people. Before you come learn about them, their DNA, their spiritual belief systems their dream time, their rock art and make sure you do some guided tours with them, pretty special life experience that you will never forget. And take some cash, if your lucky you may pick up a locally made didgeridoo or boomerang, but be careful they do come back, lot like catching a frizby but if you miss, well there's usually a hospital within a couple hundred kilometers lol.
Hope you've made it out here
What he is doing in this video is beyond incredible and tough and yet only humble polite well formed sentences to explain. Zero drama. No narcissism whatsoever, no mental play. Just purely intelligent and mentally very tough and balanced man.
This fella is probably the best fisherman I've ever seen
Anyone remember the episode Malcolm told the government he was a bricklayer. They said they needed a mason to build a wall for a tribe and the wall turned out to be a mess haha
Not many left like Malcom, top bloke
Best teacher ever

I remember watching this episode as a 9 year old , Malcolm always made sense and not nonsense 👍
Wonder how much of that he ate. There was enough for at least 5 people for a few days.
Malcolm Douglas is great teacher for me...
P.S. Just a little bit weird question - if I will take with me to Australia apparel impregnated with beeswax and sort of naturaly oils - is it fine for border control etc....? Thank you very much for answer.
Not sure about that 9ne buddy. Maybe if you declare it?
and.......he wears converse trainers xx
And who gave this white man his skills?? Indigenous people did. But lucky him, he has a camera to record it all.
He doesn't deny that in his shows. Outraged are we?
I also straighten my spears with my teeth
Good bush tucker.

You don’t drink the blood for there in lies the soul of the animal.
real aussie not many of us left
🕊😇🕊
Good old Malcolm would have blown his load if some bloke wandered by and handed him a mobile phone while he was ship wrecked. Hey Malcolm, you need some water? Just Uber it!
i love my plastic bags.....they have soooooooo many uses love the bag lady x lol lol
one has to be hard wood the other soft wood he left that bit out
Actually you can use the same wood on itself in most situations and it works fine, if your fingernail can make a dent in the wood and its dry and not rotten it should be good to use. I use xanthorrhoea, langana and hibiscus on itself all the time.
@@self-sufficiencydownunder7512 maybe were you live in eu 1 has to be hard wood 1 soft wood
