2024 and nobody has come even close to the quality, educational and entertainment value of the films made by the great Malcolm Douglas. Greatest Australian ever🫡 🇦🇺
A legend all over the world since the advent of computers and principally the internet. A gem of a man who deserves to be remembered. RIP Malcolm Douglas.
I’ve loved Malcolm since the very first time I watched him on the telly. But, far out, ive never loved him more than after watching him interact with those kids. He’s so patient, informative and entertaining with those kids. He clearly wants the best for those boys, Its remarkable.
After watching Malcolm when i was a young fella living in Perth WA, I was always amazed about his adventures! I had the pleasure of moving to Derby about 8 years ago and I'm happy to say I got myself a boat and now the buccaneer archipelago is my back yard! we have spent many trips exploring Montgomery reef, raft point, doubtful bay and many other amazing places!
@@martinbowskill5511 Marty ! Get me 8 pints of VB best bitter in I'm on me way over now From Stratford upon Avon Warwickshire . PS Make sure it's warm ! .
On all video's of Malcom the common theme is how many people of our generation he inspired to just get out there at do it. I feel lucky to have grown up watching doco's of Malcom and the like without the distractions kids have these days, video game & internet etc. Many kids these days tend to lack roll models like Malcom. My boys are keen to learn a lot of the bush skills I learnt through watching him and I tell them to watch him. So he is still inspiring many no doubt. Thanks for sharing.
Amazing because Barbara mentioned in this video the wife of Roy is featured in one of Ben Fogles docos..where the wild men are. She is an absolutely amazing women. Wonderful! Roy has since passed away..and she actually carries his gravestone she made to him with Ben and her friends
Macolm was an all animals lover (don't confuse with dog lovers most of them have zero respect for wildlife), the mark of great people. I will not forget how he once convinced his aborigene friends to set free a rabbit like animal with a long nose they had dug out of its nest, it was so cute and shaking in Malcolm hands.
They found him dead, wedged between a tree and his car. They don't know exactly how it occurred, but while he was outside of his car, somehow his car drove forward by itself and crushed him between itself and the tree. I can't find anymore information, it seems they don't know how it happened exactly. I also can't come up with a scenario in my head that would explain how a car could drive itself into you, because they claim that there was no evidence that it rolled, they literally said it drove into him. They also say that there is no evidence of foul play, meaning no one drove it into him, and that he was all by himself. The whole thing seems confusing, the only thing I can imagine is if his car was left running and somehow his dog was in the car and did something accidentally like trod on the peddle or something like that. On the bright side, at least he was nearly 70 years old, so he lived most of his prime life.
It didn't drive itself. The Toyota was bogged down in sand, Malcolm was dismounted using the winch to retrieve it when it started to slide sideways, pinning him against the tree. He was also not alone; Boondie was with him, and she was still with him when he was found a few days later. Boondie was 9 years old at the time of the accident, and was still matriarch of the reptile park in 2016 before she passed away in early 2017. This info is first hand from Valerie, Malcolm's widow.

A man you are a go natural man in the wild
I was thinking about my next dogs name the other day and i thought bundi must have got it from Malcolm.
The difference between me (on my sofa) and Malcolm is that he did burn what he ate....the better the ritual, the better the hunger...
I see he died in 2010 what happened to him he looks fit and well here did his dings get him or something else
