- Опубліковано 30 лис 2020
- The annual monsoon season in the north floods the country. Malcolm spends three months filming the wet, travelling by 4WD and boat. A classic adventure taking the viewer from the barramundi fishermen of the Roper River to the Aboriginal out-stations of Arnhem Land.
Malcom was the man what a life lived.
And such a sad way he left this earth. Such a Miserable death for such an awesome guy
Too bad his marriage and home life went to hell while he "did his thing".
@@11304800😂😂😂😂 awesome reply
@@11304800shut it. You would be surprised how things are not black and white.
The entire upload is an encyclopedia of Australia. Thank you 👌
Had the pleasure of meeting him cpl weeks before he passed wat a legend
The Toyota Landcruiser. The legend that allows survival in most of the world that isn't urban. Malcolm is the human equivalent.
The old Landcruiser is an engineering marvel
incredible that malcolm hung out knee deep in croc infested waters, mozzies, jellyfish, snakes, spiders and lived but was sadly lost in a car roll over. mad.
simply incredible adventurer.
No snorkel in those days?
he died because he didnt put his handbrake on, what a way to go out
I m still amazed by the talented indigenous bark painters love seeing the old LANDCRUISER always worth the time watching every episode Malcolm always reminded us in the bush mostly beautiful but danger can be just around the corner there's some beautiful Tucker in every episode RIP Malcolm thank you for teaching us about this beautiful land cheers stevo 🦘🦘🐨🐨🦎🦎
Grew up watching him as a kid in Australia, still so watchable, a real adventurer and an Aussie icon.
Same. I grew up seeing re-runs of his adventures.
No snorkel, diff lockers, turbo, lift kit, lithium batteries, fridge, inverter, solar panels.....
Just balls, and a camera.
can watch these shows all day, was such a treat growing up getting to watch him and bush tucker man and layland brothers
and you can't forget Alby Mangles
dont forget harry butlor
I remember these shows back in the day, everybody watched them and loved it. That bark canoe is a beauty, that shape they got is perfect. Interesting to note that only 2 of these fellas grew up with the knowledge of how to make one, the other 2 are fascinated in the building method
Saturday nights me and my dad would watch this.
Time flies and changes things so quick, deadly
Lived his BEST life
Love watching this every now n then. My poppy Greg is an Australian legend 🫡
VBs and ciggys are all you need apparently for an outback adventure 😂
M😊😊
This dude is peak Australian.
I write this while sipping on a frothy latte from my open plan office in Melbourne😂
office? lucky you lockdown 7
These rock!🇺🇸🎇🎆🎊🎉great stuff
They're pretty good mate. The floating car full of empty beer cans was quintessential old school Australia. People used to take a Roady beer to drink on the way home from work whilst driving. I'm glad it's not as common thing these days. My old man spent a lot of his life digging people out of wrecked cars and when he became a senior officer in the fire service, he was on call 24/7 in a department car. If we were out I had to sit in the car at some horrendous accidents. A lot could have been avoided.
Thanks for these videos
Amazing capture. Thank you for this.
Great show
AWESOME DOC...
These Malcolm Douglas videos are so good I'm going to subscribe to your Channel
great episode, learning how to build a consistant roof and a canoe from natural bark ressources
Everrooftton
i love that winch. an old manuel brake 8000lbs warn . it is probably the best ever made in my opinion
This man's life was spent living
At 3:24 did anyone else notice all the empty VB cans floating?
VBs and winnes. Hope he had more while he waited.
he had one too many to try to drive that little Toyota through that
Malcoim is of course iconic, but you have to give some cred to the camera team!
Living in accordance with nature, that's liven!
Amazing adventure. I don't think no one these days will tackle deep water crossings like that without a snorkel on their 4WDs.
This beauty is begging for a 4K re-scan of the film if it's still knocking around.
Incredible
Iv washed everything by my idol, and I must say this is the show, even better thanwhen he hunted in Arnhem Land for oil snakes a turtles, I n croc infested swamps!
They need to run stuff like this on tv today
My Mum & Dad meet Malcolm in Sydney harbor near step to Sydney Opera house back in the day

Even my missus says yer nah nah dont come to Australia youll be sorry.
Here's a little bit of useless information: contrary to popular belief Aussie's don't drink Foster's thats for tourists and the export market. Victoria Bitters or VB for short is their go to brew. If your ever in a pub in Australia don't order a Foster or you'll get some looks.
VB = Vomit Brew... Coopers Sparkling Ale all day, mate.
In the 80's it was Carlton Breweries .
Toohies all day
When a mate came over from WA to Germany. We visited Kiel Week and the Australien booth on the international market was sponsered by Fosters. He was really upset and actually insulted. "Do you germans really believe we drink that piss?" It was just hilarious!
Foster's is made by Carlton , in Victoria state , Australia ( or ,at least it was in the '90's . I never saw Foster's down there ; a bottle of Carlton ( liter ) was less than 1.00 (Aust. ) ...and I saw many a pub when I was there ....just sayin'. Foster's sucks , like most American beer does ( commercially made , that is ....and , by the way ; ya won't see much decent Aust. wine here in the states ; they keep the good stuff for themselves . (...says a notable wine producer I met in Victoria .
misjudges or the film directors say it's okay...
Handle anything but a BUNCH of leeches!!
@7.29 whatever floats ya boat....
try using : to time stamp so 7:29
add zero if u need only seconds 0:28
no snorkel on that four wheel drive. it would've helped.
In those adventures, yes, 99% is just show off....
۱۴۰۲~۴~۲۴🌻🌷🧡😍💙💜💛
Malcolm... Les Hiddons... pioneers both...... both shows always aknoweleged what Austraila is losing..... our heritage....... fukk a voice... save the language..... dialects loosing THEIR voice because tey are no longer spoken....... you heaf of Latin as a written.... but not spoken language..... we, as Australians could save so many Latin languages if we just stopped waiting for a voice.... and gave chance to listen to what we are losing......... (ima white fella btw...
)
Malcolm had over 16 aboriginal wife's 54 children and never did a days work
Is that fiction? 🤔
Toyotas are crap should’ve stayed with the Landy Mal RIP bro
Today's Land Rovers are atrocious.
Celica driver says na ye im going for it the flooded creek says ye na you aint.😂
The real crocodile hunter, long before that americanised wiggle Erwin started teaching people bad habits around wild animals! “Crikey”= We don’t talk like that down under, he was a toss pot🤦🏼♂️ .....Malcolm Douglas was the fair dinkum real deal💪
Erwins = Gender benders for the NWO agenda
I Suppose The Plus Side To The Wet In The Top End Is The Abundance Of Barramundi And Mud Crabs! Then There's Also The Ever Present Crocodiles Lurking Around For Any Stray Fishes!🤠🧔🛥🌅🎣🐟🐚🐊🏞🇦🇺
Yes When It Rains Up In Australia's Tropical North During The Wet Season It Really Does Bloody Rain! River Crossings Become Impassable And Leeches And Mosquito's Absolutely Run Riot!🤠🧔🚘🏞🌴🌧☔🦟🦟🪱🐊🐍🦎🐃🇦🇺
