Been giving this analogy to kids for years! Everything you do with ease now, was once a difficult learning curve that took persistence to breakthrough...right down to the simplest things like learning (or re-learning) how to walk, tying your shoes, riding a bike, or any activity you've managed to master. Embrace new challenges with the silent confidence of knowing that you've done it before, and you can do it again 💯

    • @DrAJ_LatinAmerica
      @DrAJ_LatinAmerica 2 роки тому +1

Depends on what type of success. Many cases it is based on how many people you continue to kill. Win by attrition. Look at how countries and governments were formed. In other areas, history has shown us the so called successful just kept dumping unlimited resources behind a project or activity. Why isn't David successful? He is not a General.

Don't let others define what “success” is for you. Get up, learn that skill and go after it! I believe in you so much! Have an awesome day! - Love, Nat ❤️

There is 2 kinds of quitting in my opinion :
      Quitting on people
      Quitting on projects
      Quitting on people :
We want to see the people around us growing, developing, blooming ... and we offer them encouragement, our attention , resources... but they don't help themselves.
We must have clear boundaries and a process , just as any university, to get in you have to comply with requisites, if you do certain things or don't perform, you get kicked out.
What I do is I budget an amount of time and resources to meet a person , so before the budget is gone, our relationship must have progressed to the next level.
If there is no next level, is time to quit on that person. Be strong.
      Quitting on projects
The general rule is never quit ,never surrender , because quitting on a loved project is quitting on yourself .
However , circumstances can change , and maybe you need to prioritize your projects and allocate resources accordingly.(Including your time and energy)
Maybe something you love to do is making you weak on more prioritary projects.
A strategic withdrawal may be in order .

There's a difference between quitting and letting go, it always comes down to honesty with oneself. My failure to differentiate between the two led me to my downfall at the time where it became about winning at something (business) even if it meant me being unhappy, I had trouble letting go of the fact that this business wasn't meant for me and the mistake was not being honest with myself and keep going when the correct decision was to let go which was difficult because I looked at that as quitting. Eventually letting go opened the door to what I truly wanted to pursue so it was the correct decision

The Levels are infinite both Upwards and Downwards...If your momentum is downwards then there's nothing like rock bottom (you could go below the rocks). If your momentum is upwards then you know you just have to keep growing, keep becoming more aware of most efficient ways to go upwards. One could quit of course, but soon that might make you feel some type of way especially if those in your circle keep growing. IT DOES NOT END! KEEP GROWING IN MIND, BODY, SPIRIT!

When your goals are fixed to material gain your quit will eventually comes! Marginal utility of the next level dissapoints you! However, when your goals are targeted to gain something devine, joy from every next level will motivate you to such an extend that even in your 70s it won't be hard for you to wake up at 5:00am for a prayer! Any next level improvement does not attached with any devine meaning then it eventually diminishes! Running marathon for just staying fit and running marathon for raising funds for a charity makes a huge difference after passing finish line!

There is a fine line between giving up and knowing when to quit. Some people that never quit are insane. There are some things that we will never succeed at, as individuals. Leaders are only as good as their followers will allow. You can't make people conform and agree with you. This is why dictators ultimately fail.

Most of us have two lives: the life we live and the unlived life within us. Between the two stands Resistance. If you are a painter who doesn't paint, or an entrepreneur who hasn't started a new venture in a longtime then you know what resistance is. Do the work; paint, write, sellRealize you are at war with an invisible force, if you don't fight back it will crush you and you will have more regrets than wrinkles in old-life.

What you are refering to is the war of the Body with the Spirit.
They both contradict, oppose each other.
in the end, you must choose a side.....the Physical World (Satan's World) or the Spiritual World (God's World)
.....What fellowship, does light have with darkness, What fellowship, does Jesus have with Belial.....?
      We all must choose.

I was ok at lifting weights and got into shape within 3 months. But then he started taking me out on runs with him up a local lake. I knew there was no way I would keep up with him and to his credit staying running at my pace and I got out of breath and wanted to stop but he kept pushing me and pushing me and eventually I got into a rhythm and felt like I could keep going.

Stopping to re-evaluate your strategy isn't necessarily quitting but it is sometimes necessary. When things get tough, take a step back, take a breath, get back in and you will find your way to your goal. Don't give up when things get hard, your always one decision away from finishing what you thought you couldn't.

Absolutely insane! I just had a conversation with my buddy three days ago about this topic then this video comes out! The analogy we were using was comparing business and success to going through a tunnel and seeing the light at the end, only to realize after you reach that light there is another tunnel waiting for you to enter (reaching the next level). Eventually, everybody leaves the race, either voluntarily or involuntarily. The people that leave willingly just get too comfortable. And the latter are taken too soon.

Thank you muchly. ‘Never Quit’ is too negative and soul-destroying. ‘Quit all the time’ is much better, because it puts far more focus on the positive ‘……..but get over it and keep trying’. This way quitting is now positive - it means you’ve really tried to the point of exhaustion now you have to change tactics.

Winners never quit, and quitters don't win.
Have never quit anything in my life, always followed through to the end no matter what. And if I first didn't succeed at something, I'd push at that goal again and again and again until I eventually reached it. And no matter how many times I've failed, I've always taken my defeats with grace and dignity while continuing to move forward.
That's the only way to win in the game of life. No matter what and who hits you, you just have to keep at it until you reach whatever goal you desire. So stay hungry and keep moving forward because in the end it will be all worth it. Never stagnate and never ever let anything or anyone hold you back. You are your own worst enemy and obstacle in life, nobody else. Excuses are for those who has them and those who needs them. Always remember that.
    No excuses!

100% agree; almost everyone quits. However I don't think you could be any further from the truth as to why. There are a myriad of other reasons other than your explanation as to why they quit.

You should make a video about staying humble because after seeing your last video Pat I think you could use some advice on that

So there was a guy talking about how hard it is to quit smoking. An old guy next to him says "Heck, it's easy to quit smoking! I've done it hundreds of times!".
Maybe quitting the way you're going about something is helpful for making room in your mind to think of another way to go about it.
    Patrick I like your videos.

One foot in front of the other. You just do it. Quitting is not an option. Maybe you try something new or different, but you don’t quit. Reality.
