As an inspiring entrepreneur your content is a breath of fresh air.
The start stop phenomena has hit me many times and I never knew why this keeps happening and this video explains it well.
In your opinion, what would be the best way to build your emotional strength in this area?

When my mom got sick last February (she's well on the road to recovery!!) I started working harder- my parents asked me why I started working so diligently and really putting my best work out (books, clients, reading a metric crapload) and I told them that I made the commitment that they wouldn't have to work another day in their lives AND if any kind of medical emergency came up I could be at the point where I could leave to support them.

Thank you for the encouraging message! I'm recovering from my first start-stop challenge in almost 10 years. It was a terrible break up that knocked the wind out of me. Finding out that I had been cheated on robbed me of one my best traits as an entrepreneur: my confidence!
Your video did something very powerful for me. My ex tried convincing me that her actions were the result of me "living in the future" and neglecting her. To avoid future heartbreak I have been considering eliminating my ambitions, and learn to be "regular". I'm glad I found your video because it made it clear to me that I am an ALL THE TIMER! Wealth & power is a MUST for me - not a want. I will never sacrifice my dreams!Instead I will carefully select a woman who admires my ambition, and doesn't resent it.
Despite the emotional drain, I still finished my bachelors degree while working full time, and landed an awesome job at Microsoft starting this spring (all while reading 3 - 4 books a month).
    Very best

I have this huge business idea which has been marinating in my head for such a long time. After watching your videos, I've started writing everything down to the T. The more I write, the more i feel like writing. I now fade away into my own world, writing down everything about this idea, and it expands into SOO much detail, its overwhelming. I try and see it as a handful of small problems rather than one big one, but I dont know where it will lead me to. I might be overthinking it, but I feel like I need to because it's such a huge business project! There is no way in hell I could afford to make it come true. I feel like i need to write down everything in full detail, design a business plan, pitch it to investors, and see if I could get them to see my vision. The people around me (including friends and family), look at me like im crazy. Still haven't given up, I'm going to give it my hardest shot and see where it'll lead to. Your videos make me feel like I'm not going crazy. What you teach makes so much sense. It helps the process of thought when continuing to push through.

When you say you have to be an "all the timer", but you also say you have to read a crazy amount of books, too. I'm constantly focused on my goals, but feel like reading or watching a video like this is taking away from being an "all the timer". That I could of been using that time to physically work on something that makes a difference. I'm assuming you count reading books, watching videos, etc all about progress as time well spent? That those are things "all the timers do" because they help work towards your goal?

Team Shmo If they help you reach your goals, if they develop your personality - then yes, books and videos count.
Just make sure you don't overdo it, I personally have the habit of getting sucked into a new source of "goods" for my personal development and my business idea and I get ahead of myself in the sense that my actual daily plans get left behind and I just consume all this content and can't stop. That would be a pitfal to look out for! But if those books and videos help you grow - they most certainly count.

@Essennagerry Very good point, It's also great to note that you have to take time to apply or brainstorm on the principles and ideas of what you have read. Knowledge itself is off no real use unless it's applied and learned from. It's why we have alot of well-read individuals who are poor and underachieving in their lives. There must be application and brain storming time. I'm learning this important lesson on my journey right now. As Bruce Lee said "Knowing is not enough, we must apply what we now know."

What I appreciate most about your content is that it’s inspiring, motivating and provides the technical know how in an integrated way. I’m setting the challenge for myself to start the 80 hour week! Thank you Patrick !

Thank you Pat. I already work more than 80 hours a week as a truck driver here in Texas, as an employee. I also own my trucking business and put in another 20 -30 hours a week into that. Watching your series has helped me decide to put in my two weeks and dedicate my energy into my business, I've been in the industry all my life and watch everybody pass me by, even guys I've trained have passed me by. It's time for me to step up to the plate and swing as hard as I can, so than you for the kick in the ass.

Dear Pat...this is first video from I am disagree you .....working 80 hour per week as a CEO of the company, show how poor management you are doing.
After 40 hours of work and you can´t get over you need to do. You need to find intelligent skillful assistants to help you with managements. And you need to hire as many assistants, there is needed.
A good CEO, takes decisions and let his employs execute the details.
Share responsibilities....even the lowest staff in the company need to be part of the team and share responsibilities.
Use the brain....most powerful tool of all....let the money work you, but not the other way around.

With 80 hours of work a week he also means reading and learning. So its not just all work. If you spend 40 hours you can become succesful but if you spent 60 hours of productive work you are going to become even more successful. You can keep increasing the amount of hours untill you cant handle it anymore and you go downwards in terms of productivity. So what I am saying is doing 80 hours a week with good management is better than 40 hours a week with good management(again only if you can handle the 80 hours).

Patrick your videos for success are motivational & your right...in order to be successful you have to be an all-timer & commit not only yourself but your time & your right as well...you have to have a passion driven in you & also believe in yourself to become successful & rich. Work hard now...sleep later. In order to become at the top, you have to sacrifice alot in order to get there...but at the end, it's worth it 👌
