For some reason, the game refuses to allow my 1920x1440 custom res as Full Screen. It only shows it as an option as fullscreen windowed (which uses more resources on the desktop apps).
Found this solution on steam forums: You can do changes in `Steam/userdata/{steamid}/730/local/cfg/cs2_video.txt`, it worked for me. Just change the resolution or refresh rate there.
FOR ALL THE 4K NERDS LIKE ME. Set your custom resolution to 2880 x 2160. As he said, it'll pop up in CS2 after you make a custom one, and won't unless you do. When playing stretched, you're essentially "stretching" a resolution, and the typical 4:3 is 75% of the actual resolution of the monitor. Stop thinking about it and trust me. 😆
for all 2 monitors setup's guys, who have some problems with doing stuff on 2nd monitor while cs2 is open on 1st one !!! I just found how to solve it, but it isn't perfect. You need to go to the settings>system>advanced display settings>choose monitor on which you are playing cs2>show card properties for display, then>list of all modes and for me i choose 1920x1440 180hz (i play on this settings cs2 on 1440p 180hz monitor) then apply. It will strech your monitor to 4:3 so yeah, this is minus, but you can do whatever you want on your second screen when you play without glitching and minimazing your game :) if something will still wrong, do what is in this video first and then do what i said. when you're done, you need to change fullscreen in cs2 to windowed, you will not able to change hz anymore, so set is at the highest lever earlier, and everything will work fine. After game you need to switch back mode in system settings to normal mode, that you have before, if you not like have streched screen all the time :) simple and works, but you need to put some effort first time. Next time when you wanna play again, you basically need to change bacck resolution to 4:3 in system settings for your cs2 screen (same as you have in game) and you ready to go :D Imo worth
if something still is wrong, paste it in your cs2 launch options in steam: -window -w 1920 -h 1440 -noborder ofc -w (your first res) -h (your second res) i play on 1920x1440 so for me its: -window -w 1920 -h 1440 -noborder

This actually makes sense, because the 4:3 resolution picked is 75 percent of the actual resolution in order for it to be stretched. 75% of 1920 is 1440, 75% of 2560 is 1920, and for 4k (which is 3840 x 2160) 75% of 3840 is 2880. @@eyeballbat
