my grandkid says I watch them all day every day, but there is nothing on tv, and I love seeing the variety of food that is so different, along with the happy people and laughter
A bit late but just read your whole blogpost. Gotta say, the information and photography was phenomenal! Commented and am staying tuned for further posts!
Mark, Thanks for being so respectful and appreciative in ALL your videos. You never try to be a 'star' and you are always informative. You have absolutely no phony qualities in you whatsoever. The food you try is unreal and you have the best travel show I've ever seen. Big thank you Mark & your Wife. Great stuff!!
He seems so sincerely happy about his food in all his videos, that I think it'll be a really strange experience being his friend watching him eat when we hang out
i dont know how to say this but, every time i eat a bowl of Maruchan Ramen noodles, i enjoy it more by watching mark eat, is anyone else experiencing that 😂
We went to that tiny okonomiyaki restaurant 7 years ago - the food was tasty and the staff made us feel so welcome. They even gave us an okonomiyaki spatula to take back home to London - still use it for cooking today!
Mark, you are an inspiration ! Everytime I watch your vlog I start craving whatever it is you are enjoying. Your descriptions are as delightful as your expressions when you eat. Wonderful work !
I love watching you eat, it makes the food 10X more delicious. My brother go to Japan every other years. And he's always talking about eating ramen, he stated he could eat ramen everyday. Thanks again for a great ramen video.
They look so delicious!Correct me if I am wrong but, I noticed that Mark Wiens DID NOT BLINK in the entire video(except when he tasted the ramen), because he was very delighted. Good times. Brings back memories.....
My wife and i are on a 3 week Japan Trip and we are now in Osaka. Wehn i saw this vid i know we have go there to eat, and it was so gooooood. Really a amazing Restaurant. Thanks Mark for your Osaka food Tour. Love it
I have been to this restaurant when I visited Japan, and discovered it just by walking by on the way to town. When I came back 15 min before opening time I saw a huge queue so straight away I knew it must be good. I got thrown off by the vendor machine, but fortunately I was with some friends who showed me the system. I have been to Japanese restaurants in other countries outside Japan but nothing ever tastes as amazing as this. The care and way the create this food is amazing. It is truly an artform.
Ramen is amazing and all I've ever had is instant Ramen, really like it. I can only guess how real Ramen must taste. Your Osaka Food Guide is great. You cover so many foods and restaurants. Thanks

Hello, I'm a residence of Osaka city. I'm enjoying your posts these days. Thank you very much for your yummy-posts about Osaka and Kobe. My favorite Osaka's dishes are "Kaiseki" at most expensive traditional restaurants, say Kicchou, Uoman etc. Traditional Japense dishes became "perfect" in Osaka. It will cost you tens thousand yen though, please try them if you are interested in them, because it is the authentic Osaka's dishes. My favorite Okinomiyaki restaurant is Turuya near Tenma Sutation. I love their Mix-Modern-Yaki. Also, please try it if you want. I hope your trip in Osaka becomes the best trip ever for you.
Hi Mark, not sure if you will see or read this comment but after hearing you say Okonomiyaki is not one of your favourite foods, and after seeing the Osaka style you ate where the batter and cabbage is all mixed up together into one big pancake, I totally would agree with you, However, you need to try the Hiroshima style Okonomiyaki which is a whole different experience that would uses a thin crepe style pancake on the bottom with lots of cabbage on top. It is out of this world. If you ever make it to Tokyo I would be more than happy to take you to the best Okonomiyaki restaurant in Japan...bar none. Love your videos and have watched you for a couple of years now. Brent (an American born and raised in Japan)
This kind of high quality content make me believe that the future o television is right here on UA-cam. Congrats for the Giant food Blog publish about Osaka food, it is beautifully done.
He tilts his head when he likes the food. The more he tilts, the more he likes. If he ever falls off the chair, means it's the best thing he's ever had :)
Loved the ramen that they served in Japan. The egg, the broth etc was out of this world. We ate it every day when we were vacating in Fukuoka. I personally cannot get enough of it. Every ramen restaurant have their own distinct flavours.. mmm . Just thinking about it makes me hungry and I'm back in the UK now.
i just want to say, prawns from thailand, roasted pig from the philippines, beef from kobe an the tuna from osaka.... you hit the holy trinity of food and more.
These videos always give me mixed feelings. I love the content, and Mark is a great guide when he doesn't have food in his mouth, but at the same time it's really hard for me to sit through the same dead-eyed, wide-eyed stare into the camera for every bit of food that's eaten.
Hey Mark, your videos are awesome as always! ive been watching your videos for a few years now and your video about starting your own blog has really inspired me to do so! your resource on your website is so beneficial. Hope it wont be too long before you come to London again so we can munch together. Keep it up mate!
okonomiyaki looks delicious. I will definitely visit there next time. Osaka is known for delicious comfort foods and friendly people. You absolutely nailed it.
Hi Mark, great videos. I have a question though. The last time I went abroad and tried to film my experience I was threatened by locals trying to take and break my camera equipment. I wasn't filming people, just the scenery and the places around me. This experience really put me off from filming my experiences abroad and when I do I am not able to capture as much footage as I want, fearing for my own safety. Have you ever experienced this before? Do you usually ask for permission before filming? Thanks again for these great videos, keep up the great work.
+bioroid09 Thank you very much and for sharing your experience. I have never experienced something so severe like that, but I have been told to turn off the camera numerous times. I think it could really depend on the country / culture you're in. I'd really encourage you to go for it again. I think times are changing and cameras and phones are so common that less and less people care. Thank you for your support.
i am in Japan at the moment and they dont mind me filming but i feel that the japanese, they dont want to be in the film, maybe shyness. On the other hand, in australia they are quite strict with filming in restaurant
Thanks for all of your posts. I stumbled across your channel by accident and look forward to your latest vlogs. I hope to visit Osaka in the near future and will keep in mind the places you have shown us. Have a blessed trip.
I just wanted to thank you Mark! Watching your genuine, ecstatic reaction to all the food inspired me to take my first trip outside my country to Japan and eat at all the places you recommended... It makes me so happy to watch you be excited about good food. Please keep it up! :)
I went to Japan a few months ago! I wish I would've seen this video before then haha that okonomiyaki restaurant looks really good. I'll make a note for next time I go
Visited that humble ramen shop last December. Magnificent. Glad I slurped every last drop because I knew I won't be having such a fantastic bowl in a long while.
+Bangkok Fatty I've noticed that with many eateries in Japan because of the small sizes and demand, you don't have time to sit there enjoy meal and chat.
Great video as usual Mark, love the look of that okonomiyaki restaurant, love how the walls are scattered in messages from people around the world :D. Thanks for the video looking forward to the next.
+Sol Fayerman-Hansen His other okonomiyaki video was one. He makes it clear that it's not his favorite food. There's also a video where he ate really bad food in Koh Samui.

Hey Mark I got a question. Why do you tilt your head to the right every time you have a bite of a meal
+Bangkok Fatty I've noticed that with many eateries in Japan because of the small sizes and demand, you don't have time to sit there enjoy meal and chat.
That ramen and the okonomiyaki looked especially delicious. Whenever I get the motivation to fly over to Japan, I want to make a stop to Osaka.

Ying is beautiful
+yoshinosakura Nothing is as beautiful as Mark Weins' reactions, not even Mark Weins himself is as beautiful as his own head leaning expressions.

If you’re visiting Osaka, you should Meet and talk to locals who like speaking English and meeting foreigners. Join a meetup event. Thank me later.
