This can’t be XL. It’s just 29 minutes
Shrinkflation?
Common issue with this channel. Often it is the other way around, a 45 min episode but it's titled as a regular one. Also saw a few episodes that were named incorrectly. It doesn't really matter though, at least they're being uploaded, so all the non-Brits can watch this great show.
@@Yvolve But in this case the non-XL version of this episode was already uploaded a month ago (with the same thumbnail even) so this upload adds nothing new.
Also the title card at 0:27 is missing the "XL" on the logo.
@@slimcourage901 That's because they don't have a good system for uploading it seems. Not hating on the team behind this channel, I'm really happy they're uploading all of these. QI is one of my favourite shows.
My guess is this team gets no budget, as usual. Getting this right requires quite a good system of archiving, so the right episode gets uploaded with the correct title. This is not cheap and takes a while to get set up.
Bucky Fuller was a brilliant man, with some eccentricities; but, he designed some great stuff, which worked perfectly. He developed pre-fabricated metal huts, for use by the military, which used natural air movement to cool and heat and they worked quite well, and were used by locals for decades after WW2. The Dymaxion car was abandoned, after a crash banged up a wooden prototype. He also designed the Dymaxion House, which was another prefab design that used tension cable for support and it was tested in Wichita, KS. Also developed the geodesic dome.

9:45 This is misconception in many cases. Muscles attach to bones and that attachment has to be a certain size if the muscle has a certain strength. Soft tissues are almost always muscle, with a layer of fat.
This relative size of attachment points on bones, allows scientists to determine the build of a person based solely on their skeleton. It is also how a face is reconstructed from just a skull. Of course we have comparisons for those situations, but we still have reptiles, birds, crocodiles and alligators, sharks, and other ancient animals. They can inform us what an animal probably looked like. This is not a guarantee of course, but it is not as unclear as it is made out to be.
My ex wife bought me tickets to go see rooks and Dunn and Big and Rich and 15 minutes before the show started, there were as little as a quarter of the seats taken. We were talking and not paying attention and when we looked around after 10 minutes, the place was full. She looked at me and said "I didn't know country music was that popular."
Delayed sleep phase folks rise up 🙌 (between 10 AM and noon)
if only it were just meeting friends for breakfast that was the problem 😭
Loudon Wainwright once recorded a song in the shower. Reportedly he used a condom to protect the microphone. Unfortunately, when the intent sent to buy the condoms tried to get unlubricated condoms as directed, the clerk tried to dissuade her.
Surely for women that "how often do you think about sex" question depends on the time of the month. When I was younger, sometimes it was more like three times a second than every three seconds, and for the other three weeks of the month it was more like, "JEEZ, I'm in the middle of chapter 5 fer chrissakes!"
Hate the lack of audience.
Naturally the women thought about food more than the men. Even today, women are still in the majority of being the meal decider, food shopper and preparer. Sad, but true.
while your point may still be widely relevant, the stats were that women think about food 15 times, and men 18, one less than the 19 about sex
Why not upload the new episodes and make them unavailable in the UK and other countries with BritBox or something? This way it only promotes pirating. People are charging 10 dollars for pirated streams of BBC. I honestly have no way of watching new episodes legally in Eastern Europe and it feels silly.
