exactly, He said never longboarding before, but follow his friend with a camera ahah, the first time you don't even stand up easly on the board and try to stay on a flat place ahah
VERY BELIEVABLE!, my first day longboarding was very similar...at 41 yrs old! ( i skated a lot of vert and streets back in the 70's-80's-90's though). As you can see, the slides are quite rough and undialed, very similar to my first day as well. My first day snowboarding, I also landed my first attempt at a 360 backside air...true story (which soon led to a sponsorship:)
The first time I rode my longboard I was sliding within 20 minutes, so its not necessarily bullshit. It helps that I also surf, skim, skate (shortboards), and have dabbled in snowboarding. These guys do, however, have major balls going that fast if this was their first time (which is seemingly unlikely).
+Andrew Campbell (RadicalFaction) I'm sure you know what hes trying to say. If not, he's asking, "What about when you fall of your hands?" That's where the gloves come in for protection.
Yeah the punta lobos is a great board to begin on ts the first board that I got and I love it. It is easy to push has a good amount of flex you can early grab pretty high. you can do some light bombing but make sure your gear is right. I wouldnt go above 35 on this board. But get some decent wheels to learn slides. from nose to tail the board width gets smaller which stinks for some people because its harder to ride switch but it is also helpful in learning slides because you can get your foot
@CharloteLongboarders Thanks, sorry for the late reply, I already got a Landyachtz 9two5 with Bear 852s and a set of Big Zigs. I figured I prefer downhill, freeride and occasional slides.
@minigunman13 lol no we live in Northern Virginia man, your place does sound sick though. We always want to go to Cali but it's a bit of a trip if you know what I mean. Get some of the durians or stimulus if you really want to slide. Thanks for the comment bro!
the description box never loads on my computer cuz its old XP so i never read that. thanks for sharing, i only could read the title, and spazzed out after watching it haha
@LiFKBOARDS the reason it was sped up is because we were just messing around and didn't want to bore you all, not because we were trying to make us look faster...
I'm planning to get an S9 Punta Lobos but I've been reading a lot of bad reviews about the Gullwing Charger. What are the trucks that you're using for your Punta Lobos?
you might just have to commit at some point. sitting-180-heelside-slide is the first one to learn, then go for toeside. after that you can work on doing each of them switch or you can go for standing.
@AlX6336 we just ride to have fun, if that means down a hill to pick up speed for adrenaline then hell yeah, if it's for slides, style and tricks you can do that too, if its to bro out and just chill, well then your doing the right thing.
makes sence, im 34, spent 14-22 skating.Im an avid snowboarder. I just went on a longboard w my brother friday. I was much more advanced than him because of all my prior sports.
I remember the first time i went longboarding i busted out a 100ft toe side power slide then ended it with a slide shuvit then i did a 180,360 no scope bean plant. It was baws
Yeah I didn't even know about sliding (being the only longboarder I knew at the time) for a long time after I started. I went through shoes much slower after that.
As long as you have got previous experience from skating/snowboarding etc. this isn't extremely hard to do, so I don't understand all of the hate. When I first got my longboard I got the hang of sliding after about 3 tries.
@Georwyn07 actually, i ride the gullwing chargers, they're pretty unresponsize, but goin DH is awesome. Also, it would be better if u replaced the bushings. They usually have eliminator bushings, which doesn't even allow u too turn well. overall, great trucks for DH, sucky for freeriding
@FrwedwickTheAwsome All good for downhill pretty fast. but the 50 degree trucks wouldn't be the best choice I'd lower it a bit, unless in that case no wheelbite takes place then leave it as it is.
oh thats how it was for me, i got a shitty sector 9 for my birthday and went to Maryhill then won first place riding completely naked......then i did a backflip while at full speed......yeah my friends say it came easy for me ;)
Jeez, everyone. Relax. They're saying it was their first day longboarding as an excuse for having absolutely horrendous style, despite already spending some time skating. Shit, if I looked like that while skating, I would claim to be a beginner too.
this video has the same feeling as when your ex told you "you're my first one".
exactly, He said never longboarding before, but follow his friend with a camera ahah, the first time you don't even stand up easly on the board and try to stay on a flat place ahah
animeworldnr1 and you're getting an amazing time
Absolutely NOT his FIRST time boarding!!!! No one can slide their first day!! And they sped up the video!!
i cud
It's possible if they spent their whole first day practicing sliding
that's what i did longboarding itself is not hard
i learnt 3 slides my first day although they were pathetic and sketchy they were slides
Hey fucktard, Read the description.
I love the bit where you sped the footage up....
I love the bit where you're a moron. It's not sped up, When you ride down a hill a magical thing called gravity happens and you go faster.
+AgekArts
AgekArts and the bit where ypu are kicking reaaally fast...yeaaa sped up moron
AgekArts hah, fucking cry more if you have eyes then you would be able to tell that they are quite clearly sped up...
AgekArts Tell me that 2:55 is legitimate acceleration you 'moron'
First day my ass
look at the description it says first longboard video.
+Tucker Elizer who tf even reads the description?? the title does say "First day ever longboarding"
333blackred true
+Tucker Elizer lol yeah XD
Stole my idea a year prior
You went pretty fast for your first time ;)
that's why he doesn't have a girlfriend
xD
Erik Brown BOOM!
Well that escalated quickly
This is an awesome video! Ugh, cant wait to go longboarding!!
i read this title as first time ever longboarding... i was like, wtf? thats a sweet ass run . nice work.
You know this is not a beginner riding that board he's tucking and everything
First time making a video, Read the description before you spread your stupidity.
Sorry read the description after the fact no need to be so mean
How was I condescending? The title is misleading on purpose, How do you think they get views?
VERY BELIEVABLE!, my first day longboarding was very similar...at 41 yrs old! ( i skated a lot of vert and streets back in the 70's-80's-90's though). You guys are rocking , good job!
Probly first time ever on that board
"Put the video in fast forward mode to make you look faster! No one will notice"
The first time I rode my longboard I was sliding within 20 minutes, so its not necessarily bullshit. It helps that I also surf, skim, skate (shortboards), and have dabbled in snowboarding. These guys do, however, have major balls going that fast if this was their first time (which is seemingly unlikely).
you have no idea how much i want to live there with those hills!
They say it's their first time as an excuse to have slide gloves, but not be able to do any slides.
When You Fall on your Hands ??
chatterbox8445 That wasn't even a Question!?
+Andrew Campbell (RadicalFaction) I'm sure you know what hes trying to say. If not, he's asking, "What about when you fall of your hands?" That's where the gloves come in for protection.
these roads look so fucking smooth and beautiful and perfect, how i wish i was there
@woolerymasst thank you, we don't care about looking fast, we're just having fun and it's sad that so many took that negatively.
Yeah the punta lobos is a great board to begin on ts the first board that I got and I love it. First time ? Whips out a slide easily?
That road is beautiful. Wish we had roads like that where I live
wish i had those hills where i lived i just have bumpy road and bumpy sidewalks
What boards are you guys riding and with what wheels?? They look awesome!!
PLEASE respond
@minigunman13 lol no we live in Northern Virginia man, your place does sound sick though. We always want to go to Cali but it's a bit of a trip if you know what I mean. Get some of the durians or stimulus if you really want to slide. Thanks for the comment bro!
This video has been sped up, you can tell in some parts.
that is an awesome road, its hard to tell but is there actually a down grade slope to the road or is it fairly flat and you keep speed well?
the description box never loads on my computer cuz its old XP so i never read that. thanks for sharing, i only could read the title, and spazzed out after watching it haha
you're doing it very good for the first day. in my first longboarding day I caught speed wooble at 40 km/h and I tought I was going to die. SHIT
@LiFKBOARDS the reason it was sped up is because we were just messing around and didn't want to bore you all, not because we were trying to make us look faster...
woah buddy! i shall clap my hand if he's beginner! most genius beginner i've ever seen!
Where do I find these magical roads with no moving cars in sight?
Bull sh*t this is your first day NO ONE can slide that good on there first day!
there is a description you know
MBC W4FFL3 theres nothing in the description that says *this is not are first day ever long boarding or anything in that nature
It's theyre first day RECORDING
mine says "first day ever LONGBOARDING"
1st 3 words in description: 1st longboard VIDEO.
When you Bomb a hill for the first time it's terrifying... but when you're done you want to do it again and again and again!!!!!!!
Decent, since it's just a gathering of long boarders here... What's everyone's thought on the landyartchz switchblade?
i remember at my 1st day of longboarding when i pushed at 50 mph on a flat surface just like 1:24
niceeeeeee looking to get mine soon really excited XD
Awesome video and nice dervish
Am I the only one who watched the first 3 seconds and thought "Hey, Anthony from Smosh got a tan!"?
i know what you mean but it says in the description that its the first longboarding video ever that they made
i dont know much about longboarding but i do know that when you get speed-wobbles on a LONGBOARD your going pretty damn fast
@RMBchrisS oh hahah thanks but me and my friend made our own gloves. the loaded gloves are sick though.
Holy crap!!!man you guys r boss!!!!
LOOOOL First day ever longboarding and you hit colemans and pendys seems legit
Guys read the description, it says "first longboard video"
I'm planning to get an S9 Punta Lobos but I've been reading a lot of bad reviews about the Gullwing Charger.

Have fun going back up those hills! :D
I remember my first day. It was about 5 months ago. Can't slide yet, but still trying. Can bomb hills like nobodies business though!
makes sence, im 34, spent 14-22 skating.Im an avid snowboarder. I just went on a longboard w my brother friday. I was much more advanced than him because of all my prior sports.
I have never fallen off of my longboard! And no I don't go slow. I break speed limits on my longboard. I love the concrete... so far. :-)
I like the yellow shirts board
I love the "Im taking a shit pose" @1:17
omg lonboarding + dnb
I LOVE IT!!
How do you get back up? Walking?
You just have to got 2 cars. Easy trick :)
As long as you have got previous experience from skating/snowboarding etc. this isn't extremely hard to do, so I don't understand all of the hate. When I first got my longboard I got the hang of sliding after about 3 tries.
Even if they are experienced, that guy has gloves and they match his board and outfit
@oturner45zink sector 9 punta lobos and landyachtyz drop carve we both have oTangs Durians Yellow
first time .... MHHMMM
Some people like the speed of longboarding and some people find doing tricks difficult.
Yeah. I got my PhD only a week after learning how to read and write. True story.
fist time i went longboarding the concrete was my enemy. 6 years later its my best friend.
he might have skateboarded before because when i made total switch from skateboarding i was able to "stand up slide" when i first got on it
@Georwyn07 actually, i ride the gullwing chargers, they're pretty unresponsize, but goin DH is awesome. Also, it would be better if u replaced the bushings. They usually have eliminator bushings, which doesn't even allow u too turn well. overall, great trucks for DH, sucky for freeriding
Where is this in Haymarket? Like what road. I may or may not live there lol.
great taste in music and good boarding.
@MPglc Yeeeeah.. Look a couple comments down and you'll see I corrected myself.
@edgefan5ify yeah i ride paris 180's randalls and bears are good too.
yes it could very well be his first time long-boarding. don't forget there is a similar sport called skateboarding which he may be very good at.
this road looks soo smooth
My first day i could actually ride good!!! then again i skateboarded for 3 years before...
@Mctoastedjelly, you can also tell by the slope of the hill.
FUCKING LOVE THIS SONG! Bassnectar remix was awesome too!
don't belive that it's the first day. but its a really nice vid! :)
@FrwedwickTheAwsome All good for downhill pretty fast. but the 50 degree trucks wouldn't be the best choice I'd lower it a bit, unless in that case no wheelbite takes place then leave it as it is.
bro your neighborhood is heaven
How is the dropcarve? I'm thinking of picking one up
first day? and you've already got slide gloves?? i had to improvise b4 i got mine
Awsome riding could you tell me the song name
yeah, I thinking the same. Maybe it's not the firs time on a board, maybe he have experience on skateboarding
oh thats how it was for me, i got a shitty sector 9 for my birthday and went to Maryhill then won first place riding completely naked......then i did a backflip while at full speed......yeah my friends say it came easy for me ;)
I was like this too, my first day i was sliding at 45 mph like paazoom!
LOL you guys have to check the description before complaing it says: 'First longboard video'
@Georwyn07 yeah man dont get those get paris 180's thats what i am riding and they are good solid trucks super fun
Did you use a GoPro for this? If so, what version?
hes probably skateboarded for a while, like me i recently started longboarding, but ive been skating for a while so im better than most beginners
Don't mess that board up it's a good one my first board was a moose not the best kind but getting my second christmas trying to get a original
Jeez, everyone. Relax. They're saying it was their first day longboarding as an excuse for having absolutely horrendous style, despite already spending some time skating. Shit, if I looked like that while skating, I would claim to be a beginner too.
Where in Haymarket is this? I've been skating hills down Shelter Lane
i remember my first time longboarding, well thats because it was a few days ago.
Hey man, I live in Haymarket too. What part are you in?
i have been longboarding for like three years and i still only do standys. like i seriously dont even own gloves bah
This can be 1st day long boarding. he has matching sliding gloves and he is tucking already
"Like" if you noticed Fast Forward in certain parts.
