I need you guys to understand that i very often do a dab and then watch this guy and i legitimately just realized he actually has a stutter, he does quite an amazing job managing it, and im sure its taken alot of work, its very impressive.
@@mixemup. I have a friend who I watched work through a stuttering problem. He is exceptionally smart, and has more thoughts going through his mind than his mouth allows. I was learning with him, and when he was learning things he found interesting and exciting, his stuttering disappeared. He now lives and works in his area of expertise, and he can speak with confidence and authority, especially in his areas of expertise.
Thank you for the comment, I've definitely been showing the stutter more in videos lately. I'm glad to get comments like this and I plan on doing some dedicated stuttering content to hopefully bring people into what it's like a bit more. Thank you for the support.
@@thestutteringskaterjust discovered this channel. Didn’t know this type of skating event ha. Really cool stuff. I had a friend who used to stutter, he said he sang his words to stop it. Paul staments, the Godfather of modern mycology used to also. He speaks of it in lectures. I can’t believe you guys don’t wear knee pads 😬. Looking forward to checking out your channel 👍
@@thestutteringskateryou know it’s funny that when I first started watching your videos, for a long time… I thought you were named ‘Stuttering Skater’ because of the way you move your body to the left & right & make fast movements and split decisions. Your skating blows me away! Love You Brah, from Cali coast ❤ keep it real 🙌🏻
I rediscovered skating about a year ago, in my early 50s. I try to skate 5 hour long morning sessions weekly, but some days the motivation just isn't there. Keep motivating me to go out and skate! When I need that extra push, I watch my favorite UA-cam skaters skate. Once I start, I'm in it to win it, but getting to the point of lacing up can be hard, especially when the rest of the world is sleeping. But when I wake up and see a new video from one of my favorite skaters, I have a fresh passion to roll.
I used to stutter. I just willed myself to get out of it. It's funny, now that I don't feel like I will accidentally stutter, I now stutter intentionally once in a while just to throw a conversation in a different direction. I never got any help from any professionals. I was just tired of it. BTW, I was never able to skate the way you do. Amazing.
I've just bought and still waiting to receive my first blades, so I can roll with my 10 year old daughter and share something she likes, and watching your videos has given me a great perspective and excitement to start skating, the freedom the flow the fun. Great vibes, thanks for the uploads man! cheers from Brazil!
Austin Texas here, love watching your content. I bought a pair of powerslides recently because of you and been exploring the city, I enjoy the aspect of urban skating as a way to explore the city.
LOLz this is so good, the jorts tribute, gonna have to watch the rest of this later, appreciate you Ari! Will be trying to work the word latitude into my vocab today
Is it legal to be skating on the road like that? I am from the Caribbean and I have been to New York like twice. I never saw New York so empty and I haven’t seen skater on the road. Is there something I don’t know. Open to new info for when I am visiting New York again.
Sir, you mean to tell me that the first time you got on skates was 5 years ago? Seriously. How did you get so good? When did you FIRST learn how to skate????
There's no need to skate backwards for Olympic speed skating. He probably can step backwards at a low speed but not 20mph through the streets. Ari was a hockey player so that kind of movement is pretty well ingrained.
I stutter, so sometimes (often) I struggle to say what I want to say in a fluent manner. Sometimes disfluencies manifest with the repetition of certain sounds/letters, or there can be total blocks where my vocal folds tense up and don't let air/sound through. Stuttering has many flavors haha
@thestutteringskater Oh, i'm sorry, I didn't know what that was. Thanks for explaining that, I have a better understanding now. I hope I didn’t make you uncomfortable. Anyway, I appreciate your openness.
@@tammat8625 No, you are all good. Always happy to share what it's like a bit. Everyone who stutters, does it a bit differently. Patience and understanding is always appreciated.

Pretty cool including more of random people you meet on rides into the videos, makes it more special
THats what makes NYC special, always something going on
"All I can do is skate faster than everybody else. Ever..." 😂😂😂
Joey can be annoying like that. But he's not wrong. When he was competing, he dominated. Against insane competition too.

5:45 I’m so glad I’m not the only one who has to put with the odd ‘wahey…..rollerblades’😂 🇬🇧
I've long said that changes in latitude can make great changes in attitude.

Joey: Did you cut your hair so it looks like mine?
Ari: [beams]
Joey: Uh, I gotta go...

what kind of skate set up do you have ?
What kind of rockered setup do you skate?
@@anselrichards4919 this is the endless 90 LR frame. So a very minimal rocker but a wonderful feeling in most skate scenarios.

Im 36 and overweight. Can i still do this? Lol. I want to 😂
Bro no lol it’s all about learning the technicality of skating
Sure you can. I'm 47 with bad knees and I do it!
I want his leg workout regimen
There is something spicy but good about bickering which happens more often than not on this channel.
Osummmm

Can you do a on-screen speedometer
I do it occasionally when I have a GPS tracker, but it's quite a bit of extra work. I'll try to do it more though. Thanks for the feedback.
