First time I heard this song it hit me hard because I instantly connected to the anguish ETC's voice expressed so painfully perfectly. Even after all these years the emotions it brings still amazes me. Maybe whose POV you "hear" in the words does that? I've thankfully been in that position but its still easy to imagine how it would affect others. BTW this in one of the better reaction videos I've seen here---this young lady definitely gets the lyrics----country music can have that effect!
Girl he was the Man back in the 80`s, Got all his songs, you should listen to the one with him and Anita Pointe, Too many Times"" . Love it.. love you and watching your reactions.
Harsh honesty…and is the absolute best. I lost my little sister recently and he was her favorite she was over the moon for all ETC songs. So although this made me cry it’s bittersweet because she is singing and dancing in my memory.💕
Don't make it easy for me, chance of loving you, your love's on the line, too many times, Angel in disguise, somewhere between right and wrong. These are some of Earl Thomas Conley's best.
My husband knew Earl personally he was his drummer in the early years.. Earl was awesome and he wrote great songs and sung them with his heart.., when I met him for the first time it was so awesome i just wanted to grab him n give him a hug but i held my composer lol we were on his bus and i just sat there in awe of Him!! One of my favorite memories ever!! It broke my heart when he passed away.. my favorite two songs are . What Id say and A woman in love.. that is if i had to choose because I have everyone of his songs and love them all.. last time I saw him sing he was showing signs of his illness.. so sad 😭. He is my all time favorite Singer.. love and miss you Earl Thomas ♥️
People used to say Earl sang “thinking man’s country music.” This was a brutally hard hitting song and it was a chart topper. He has other songs in that vain. Check out “What I’d Say” and “Once in a Blue Moon.” For more uptempo songs by him, I highly recommend “Fire and Smoke” and “Heavenly Bodies.”
Although it may not disprove your first statement I'd would suggest Trace Adkins "Just The Way We Do It". I utiful India t we need to get our beautiful India truly converted to country music, and for that she needs to be exposed to the different facets of country especialy the upbeat and danceable songs.
ETC is one of my faves…but he was my sister’s absolute favorite and she passed 3 years ago and oh how I miss her but when I hear Earl Thomas I know she’s near and singing with me ❤
One that will really get you is Keith Whitley "Don't Close Your Eyes"--about a man loving a woman who is still in love with her ex. He's another who died way too young. And since you like deep-voiced men, you would likely melt hearing Conway Twitty "Hello, Darlin'" or "Slow Hand" (also covered by The Pointer Sisters) or for one more fun, "Tight-Fittin' Jeans"
@@Ciriousglitch i was thinking on the lines of Hank Sr, Dottie West, Patsy Cline, Mindy McCready, Darryle Singletary....I guess I could have worded it better ("one of many who died too young")....
HONOR BOUND is good also, the Sax is great, he's was as good a man as he was a singer, we lost him a little over a year ago. R.I.P. brother EARL TY INDIA
Thank you for discovering my all time favorite country singer, Earl Thomas Conley. Earl said in an interview that this song was his biggest hit. ETC is the most underappreciated country singer of all time, bar none. He had 18 Number One Hits during the 1980's and it is a shame he is largely forgotten today(although there has been some renewed interest since his passing). He has a long list of songs you would enjoy. I, too, am not a big country music fan but I am a big Earl Thomas Conley fan. You do not have to be a big country fan to like ETC and that is what made him so great. You should review my favorite: "Can't Win For Losing You". I know you would enjoy it. I knew there was a reason for subscribing to your channel. If there is anything you would to know about Earl, just ask. Thank you again India for showing appreciation for Earl Thomas Conley.
I met earl at the urbana festival in md went on his bus shook hands he signed my shirt and handed me a guitar pick awesome musician r.i.p. earl thomas conely and a great guy
I love seeing your reaction to these country songs. Country at its best is about storytelling and expressing emotions in real situations. Too much of that has been lost in too many newer "country" songs.
ETC has so many great songs one of my favorites is ( To Many Times.) It is a duet with Anita Pointer from the pointer sisters. You will not be disappointed.
He’s saying he’s going to walk away from temptation because walking away would be the wrong thing to do to someone who’s done nothing but love him. As much as he’d like to be selfish, he’s walking away.
I absolutely love the piano in this song to accompany his wonderfully unique voice. He had many hit country songs in the 80’s. “Fire and Smoke” was the first one. Love it!
Etc definitely a great one with a long list of hits many of them listed in the comments but one I haven't seen and one of my favorites is "The chance of loving you"well worth the listen
LMAO!!!! U have no idea how often ive come back to watch this. LOL!!! Ive seen ur videos and not one of them has evoked such a reaction from u. ETC is a legend. I love this reaction video
Love your reaction... He has so many good songs.. "Your Love's On The Line", and "Love Don't Care Whose Heart It Breaks" and "I Have Loved You Girl (But Not Like This Before)" is three of them.
Last week was the first time I came across this song ,so true this song, and he sings it with such feelings ,love it ,I am going to listen to blue moon now ,never hear that either.
Earl Thomas Conley was one of the best. He had the bad timing to come into the country music game right when George Strait, Alan Jackson and Garth Brooks started to hit big...otherwise, he'd have been given his righteous due. He is, was, and always will be one of the best, and he will be missed.
Your face when you realized what was happening is priceless..❤

“Once In A Blue Moon” & “Brotherly Love” two of his best songs
ETC was the man in the 80's! He has a lot of great songs.
Girl he was the Man back in the 80`s, Got all his songs, you should listen to the one with him and Anita Pointe, Too many Times"" . Love it.. love you and watching your reactions.
One of music's greatest voices.
Good country music always tells the hard truth..... and ETC was one of the best.
Welcome to classic country baby. Its deeper than you might expect

Yes he is
Bravo to u for listening to this man hes a classic
Strong lyrics.. maybe the top 3 greatest of all time .. RIP ETC
He has one of those voices you know instantly!
Harsh honesty…and is the absolute best. I lost my little sister recently and he was her favorite she was over the moon for all ETC songs. So although this made me cry it’s bittersweet because she is singing and dancing in my memory.💕
Pure Country...Sweet...
Love all his songs!!!
Love some ETC. He is sadly missed in country music. You should try his song "What I'd Say"
Yes! What I'd Say is so good!
It’s one of my favorites
Happy you think the Late Earl is so Damn Dreamy
Don't make it easy for me, chance of loving you, your love's on the line, too many times, Angel in disguise, somewhere between right and wrong. These are some of Earl Thomas Conley's best.

Sad but beutifull love can kill ❤❤❤😊
ECT had a wonderful voice! Once in a blue moon or what I’d say are great along with most anything from him.
Well another of his songs is "LOVE DON'T CARE WHO'S HEART IT BREAKS"
My husband knew Earl personally he was his drummer in the early years.. Earl was awesome and he wrote great songs and sung them with his heart.., when I met him for the first time it was so awesome i just wanted to grab him n give him a hug but i held my composer lol we were on his bus and i just sat there in awe of Him!! GREAT REACTION. GREAT SONG. ONCE IN A BLUE MOON. ANGEL IN DISGUISE. 《I NEED A GOOD WOMAN BAD》 MY FAVORITE.
I saw him in concert. He has an awesome list that you need to explore
"That Was A Close One" and "What I'd Say"...two of ETC's best.
Country music not just drinking and trucks.
Keith Whitley "Don't Close Your Eyes"
Or "I'm No Stranger To The Rain"
Although it may not disprove your first statement I'd would suggest Trace Adkins "Just The Way We Do It". I utiful India t we need to get our beautiful India truly converted to country music, and for that she needs to be exposed to the different facets of country especialy the upbeat and danceable songs.
When you say nothing at all beat Keith Whitley sing of all time.
people that don't love country...just ain't heard it
I’m Over You is probably my absolute favorite song by Keith....but he’s definitely an amazing and missed singer
And tell Lorrie I love her....definitely definitely a sad song
ETC is one of my faves…but he was my sister’s absolute favorite and she passed 3 years ago and oh how I miss her but when I hear Earl Thomas I know she’s near and singing with me ❤
Once in a blue moon by Earl Thomas Conley is a must too

Once in a blue moon one of his best this man dominated the 80s
I absolutely love your reaction 🙂 May he Rest In Peace.

Once in a blue moon
I met earl at the urbana festival in md went on his bus shook hands he signed my shirt and handed me a guitar pick awesome musician r.i.p. earl thomas conely and a great guy
Amazing voice
I love seeing your reaction to these country songs. Country at its best is about storytelling and expressing emotions in real situations. Too much of that has been lost in too many newer "country" songs.
There are painful emotions in this life! One may have to bear some of those within!!!!!!!! That’s all, and this song talks about one of them!
Oh yeah! You are getting into the "good" country now. Keep em coming!!
Please do "Nobody falls like a fool" by Earl Thomas Conley
And there's no better sound than that song on an old jukebox 💞
R.I.P. to a country legend.
I was planning to recommend a few of his songs this week. He was a STAR in the 80s because of his great voice and great songs.
ETC has so many great songs one of my favorites is ( To Many Times.) It is a duet with Anita Pointer from the pointer sisters. You will not be disappointed.
if you love good old country music you MUST listen to the lyrics, they speak of true life. Like life, sometimes country music breaks your heart too
He’s saying he’s going to walk away from temptation because walking away would be the wrong thing to do to someone who’s done nothing but love him. As much as he’d like to be selfish, he’s walking away.
Thanks for speaking truth!
2 legends. 1 song. Keith Whitley and Earl Thomas Conley “brotherly love””
This is my favorite country song of all time..it touches every part of my heart and soul!
I absolutely love the piano in this song to accompany his wonderfully unique voice.
He had many hit country songs in the 80’s.
“Fire and Smoke” was the first one. Love it!
This song reminds me of the Mary MacGregor song called "Torn Between Two Lovers". Powerful lyrics sad but powerful.
Etc definitely a great one with a long list of hits many of them listed in the comments but one I haven't seen and one of my favorites is "The chance of loving you"well worth the listen
Been his friend for over 35yrs, like a Brother to me LOVE HIM
You crazy....😂
It cracks me up every time you do a reaction to songs like this because you always get in your feelings and go off...😂😅😂😅
Great reaction home girl. RIP to a legend. Once in a blue moon, is my favorite song he ever played. It's a sad song too.

You can hear his tears in his voice. Omg Earl! Great breakdown !
Just remember it's just a song with a story. He has lots of others with happier stories
I love this song!!! But everytime I hear it I'm like damn you Earl!!
Love your reaction!
Earl has so many good songs. You should definitely listen to, What I’d Say
That is an amazing song. Earl wrote and recorded so many great, moving, meaningful songs..
Country music is the white man's blues. ETC is a treasure.
When country was still country.....Ball and Chain was always my fav of his.
Your ability to understand the lyrics is uncanny, love your reactions
YES, NOW YOU'RE GETTIN' INTO THE GOOD STUFF!
ETC is/was criminally underrated. Keep making reactions, India. I'll always watch.
One of the greatest classic country songs. Great choice. I’ll suggest Someone of My Own by Cal Smith as a song on the opposite end of the spectrum.
LMAO!!!! U have no idea how often ive come back to watch this. LOL!!! Ive seen ur videos and not one of them has evoked such a reaction from u. ETC is a legend. I love this reaction video
I was born in '75. This is one of those songs I loved as a kid.
Love your reaction... He has so many good songs.. "Your Love's On The Line", and "Love Don't Care Whose Heart It Breaks" and "I Have Loved You Girl (But Not Like This Before)" is three of them.
OMG I haven’t heard this in forever, thank you
My youngest son (20) told me a few weeks ago he discovered ETCs music. Good stuff!
One of my favorite singers back in the 80's and one of the very few artists I've seen in live concert in my life.
A heartbreaking song, but one of my faves.
first time hearing this singer and song for me too. his voice is butter. l think the song is about a lost love will have to listen again. thanks lndia
Last week was the first time I came across this song ,so true this song, and he sings it with such feelings ,love it ,I am going to listen to blue moon now ,never hear that either.

One of the greatest. May you rest in peace. Old friend
You definitely need to dive into more of his music. So amazing
This the thing I love about Country Music. Reality.
Earl's video for "ONCE IN A BLUE MOON" is good & "LOVE DON'T CARE WHO'S HEART IT BREAKS" as well as "WHAT SHE IS, IS A WOMAN IN LOVE"
You gotta hear "Fire and Smoke" along with "Angel in Disguise".
Girl! You nailed the essence of this beautiful man's voice song and message
HONOR BOUND IS ANOTHER GOOD ONE OF EARL'S REALLY ARE NO BAD ONES
“What ‘I’d Do” and “Once in a Blue Moon”......his two BEST songs!! React to those please!
My Favorite Singer Of All Time.
Love and miss you Earl Thomas Conley
It's a beautiful song. My favorite ETC song.
Earl Thomas Conley was one of the best. He had the bad timing to come into the country music game right when George Strait, Alan Jackson and Garth Brooks started to hit big...otherwise, he'd have been given his righteous due. He is, was, and always will be one of the best, and he will be missed.
It's been a long time since I heard this song. I do agree with you about the lyrics.
Please do Once in a blue moon, by Earl Thomas Conley
