Brad hold Lex close and never let her go.Lex is as real and pure as they come.
Yes indeed she is!
Is it in him
They are growing on me. I also like Jay & Amber and Shawn & Mel reactions.
Absolutely! She’s a gem and a keeper!
Indeed, I have seen Asia and BJ as well. Most recently, they reacted to the Shining. One of the most terrifying movies ever made. It's awesome that people are reacting to old music, but movies too
I am a 61 year old man. Watching Lex's reaction touched both my heart and soul.
Wow, Lex started out so cheerful, then within a minute she was emotionally wrecked. Glad you got to relive a special moment with your dad with a new insight into the lyrics. As hard as that hit you, it's still good to feel it.
For the first 41 years of my life, I stayed home and did nothing important. Went to work, came home, went on the computer. Went to work, came home, went on the computer. I had a seizure 9 years ago. First time in my life. I fell bad on my leg and it blocked an artery. I spent 10 weeks on my back in the hospital , unable to move, and then another 3 months learning to walk with a severe disability. When I got out of the hospital, I promised myself I would never again 'sit it out'. I may be handicapped, I may not walk for long periods of time or I may need a wheelchair, but it's not stopping me from dancing. I went to France, I went to New York, Boston, Rimouski, Toronto, Canada's Wonderland, Chicago and more recently, Galaxy's Edge at Disney.
So trust me, you don't want to waste your time and look back on your years and wonder where those years have gone. I hope you dance.
You are not alone Lex! I'm a near 60 year old man and I cry every single time I hear this song - thinking about my daughters and hoping they understand this life theme I've tried to impart upon them. It brings back beautiful memories of "daddy-daughter" dances when they were young, as well as bittersweet times as we navigated a divorce. Tears of joy, guilt, happiness, brokenness, but behind it all - never-ending love for them...
You may be pregnant as well 🤷🏻♂️
Agreed from a near 65 year old man. Plus Lex’s maternal juices are flowing now!
I was going to write the same thing. I am 60, and now it's my grandchildren.
I'm a 50 year old man and I cry too every time I hear this song. You're not alone sir.
Just sweet lex
Lex is so sweet and genuine. Her love for her father gives me hope in this fallen world. She's a keeper Brad and I hope you dance with her as well.
Listen to Chris Stapletons cover of this. Amazing
This world is not yet fallen because of people like these. I am a former Marine 6’,3” and 250 pounds. Not ashamed to admit Lex is my spirit animal 😆
Awe Miss Lex I can feel your love for your father through this song.
Amen
Both of you are very real and special people. Thank you for inviting me into your lives. Blessings!
Best honest reaction on youtube. My wife of 40 years just passed away at 60 years old and she loved this song so much it is getting to me right now watching you. Bless you guys.
As soon as Lex started crying,
so did I. She's so strong and pure.
Me too 😢❤️
me too
Me, too. No shame in any of our emotion game.
Me also !
Me too!
I don't think anyone really understands this song until they become real parents. The years go by so fast. Cherish every moment you can.
Very true be there for your kids no matter what
This IS EXACTLY what I was going to say.
Until you have children of your own, you will never TRULY understand this song's lyrics....Except for Lex, tho lol 😄 She figured it out by imagining her father singing this to her.
thats not true. u can know true love without having kids. why do people always say this?
any one else screaming at Brad to give Lex a hug? big hugs Lex !💜
Yes.. definitely I was thinking the entire time.
Pregnancy makes one indeed more sensitive !! 😜
yes, for sure
YES!!!!
100%
Damn, Lex....you just made this grown man cry with all your crying. Love you guys.
Brad --- Bro, Lex needed you to give her a hug, dude.
When your girl has a moment like that where she is hit by life and the past and the emotional state that being pregnant puts women in, you gotta let her know you are there for her and even if you really don't get it or don't think it's that big of a deal, to her, it obviously is a very big deal. You've got to give her a solid hug and tell her she's alright. Let her know she's got you and she can count on you to be strong when she is feeling vulnerable.
Just a little coaching from an old wiseman.
Thanks for saying it. My version would not have been as mature as yours. Brad, put this comment in your husband/father playbook. Kenneth is absolutely correct.
I thought the same thing when I watched this video. I couldn’t believe he looked at her like wtf is wrong with you. Sad. Emotions are running high too especially when you’re pregnant.
.....
Let's not judge him guys. I can tell by looking in his eyes that he genuinely cared, some just show emotions differently.
@@austinbullock5841 --- Thanks. As the OP of this highlighted comment, I didn't want people to jump in and give Brad any grief.
I wanted to give him some wisdom that I've gained throughout the years as a brother or buddy.
Too his credit, he did ask if she wanted him to stop the song and the reaction, which was totally on point, and Lex said no.
But, as a 57 year old man who has had lots of girlfriends and a very very short marriage, I've learned that women never say what they really want. If you ask if they're okay they will always say yes but they aren't , or if they want us (men) to, leave/stay, fill in your own verb, and they will say the opposite or if not the opposite, then they will say whatever keeps them from looking like she's weak or being too emotional. They actually expect men to read between the lines, the way they do with everything a man says. But, women don't understand that men don't play that game. We say what we mean and there is no hidden meaning or agenda in between the lines when we talk. But women do that (speak without being direct and honest) on a regular daily basis, so they think everyone else does the same.
All men learn the hard way when it comes to women. Yet, no matter how much you learn, you will never know enough and never figure them out. Because when you do something that should be the right thing based on experience, it will still be wrong. LOL
Lex, I'm so sorry for your loss, I lost my wonderful dad too, and I cried right along with you.
Me too.
This song hits your emotions. I still tear up all these years later. Lex you’re a sweetheart!
Lex needs to be protected at all cost. Such a gem.
Lex, this song should make you cry. A song from a mother straight to her children. It pulls at the heart strings.
Watching your wife's reaction to this song touched my heart GOD BLESS YOU BOTH
Please, Lex -- Don't be embarrassed by your emotional reaction to this video. It is beautiful, and many of us shed tears during it. Wonderful for us to see your genuine reaction to it.
Red in Denver -
I cried too!! This is such a beautiful song in lyrics and melody!
The great Maya Angelou told the story of having to pull overr to cry as this song played on her car radio.
❤
It drives me absolutely CRAZEEE that people apologize when they cry! As long as emotions are genuine (not manipulative to get something), they are humanity at our best, and we should not apologize for tears. You feel your emotions Lex, its beautiful!
Best reality television ever!
Those two girls with Lee Ann throughout the video are her daughters, Aubrie & Anna Lise. I think that added a special touch to the meaning of the song -- a mother's wish for her children, "I Hope You Dance" ❤❤❤
When my eldest daughter graduated we threw a big party for her, and a video montage of her life was presented to her by my sister who worked in film production. And this song was on the soundtrack of the homemade DVD, which I had never heard before. So here we have a house full of people young and old, and I'm standing up there with in a BBQ apron holding a set of tongs while trying desperately to maintain my composure in front of my daughter and her assembled guests. It was almost impossible.
Well you made me cry, so… ❤️
Me too!
I am a 71 year 0ld man. I have spent a lifetime ''sitting it out''. I never took chances or stepped out of my comfort zone. I am alone & never had children. I can't help wishing I had been more adventurous or acted on a whim. Or asked that pretty girl to dance with me, overcoming my fear of rejection, but I never did. Maybe I would have created some sweet memories to carry with me into these years of my life And maybe, just maybe, if I hadn't built a safety net around me, I wouldn't be alone. Make sure you love & laugh & go dancing barefoot in the rain & lie down & stare at the stars in the heavens. Be brave & hold each other close & share those moments together.
Well said Mr. Brown, God bless you sir. Dale at 64
@@daleturman9522 Thank you Dale. God bless you as well.
Brad....never let this beautiful girl down....She's A Keeper!
This is what music do to You.. Lex : Your reaction is fine , beautiful and genuine.. never , ever hold those feelings hidden. THIS is what makes this channel work. Thank You!!
Mama's got those hormones kickin' in!!!!
Put your arm around that girl, Brad!!!
All kidding aside...you two are the most genuine people in Reactionland. Much love and happiness to you both, and congratulations on the baby!!!❤
I just felt so bad watching you cry Lex. I'm sorry, I hope you hold all good memories in your heart forever!
Well Lex , If it helps at all I cried along the whole time. You need a big hug . Love you both.
Kathy - I couldn’t have said it better.
They played this at a memorial service for Hospice patients who had died during the past year. My Dad was one of the Hospice patients who had died a few months earlier. I can’t listen to this song without crying. My Dad fought so hard but it wasn’t meant to be I guess. I miss my Dad so much. I love you Daddy.❤️
Brad, I hope you know what a treasure you have in your wife. What a wonderful mother your child will have! I'm touched.
Lex, never worry about those tears. Your reaction was beautiful to watch. Reactions like yours, where you can see someone truly touched by the music are the absolute best to see. So many emotions on your face.
I remember being pregnant and my emotions being on high alert. I cried at commercials if they were sentimental. But songs that I never paid much mind too made me cry.
I started watching your videos tonight for the first time. At first I watched because Lex is such a pretty woman. After watching her cry on this video I realized how beautiful she really is. She is such a real woman with a heart of gold. She is rare for these days. You are a lucky many. God’s blessing be upon you both.
Aww you set me off crying as well when you explained why it meant so much to you. Gorgeous how music can move us so much. Thanks.
I think we all cried, and we all need a splash of cold water to the face once and a while. Thank y’all!
Give her a great big hug and let her know we are all with you. The music moves her as it is supposed to. Keep the videos going.
I did not expect this, thanks for sharing why...we love you Lex!
Love you!! ♥️
@@BradAndLex Y'all are so damn adorable together. May God continue to bless you both.
Hands down, the best reaction I have ever watched. Very unlikely I'll ever witness another like this one. Absolutely beautiful.
As beautiful a song as has ever been written. There is no greater love than the mother for her child.
I’m 43 years old and this song always makes me tear up as well .. beautiful song
oh that was probably the most real reaction I have ever had the pleasure to witness! Lex I was young when I lost my Dad. I was 28. I'm 62 now and I miss him just as much now as I did when he passed. I talk to him when I need him. Now honey you can sing and dance to this song with your beautiful child. Dad is with you every step of this amazing journey to the next part of your life. Enjoy every second of it. ✌️♥️
our jobs can replace us by the end of the day, were we to die on the job. If we die on the job, as a parent, there's literally no replacement. The job world is the illusion.. the family is the real world. xo
Bless your heart sweet Lex!!! I cried, too!!! Hold on to this advice and pass it along to your little ones!!! They will be thankful that you did!!
Maybe the best and truest reaction ever.
Bless you guys. Many of us are missing our mother or father and feel the same way.
I so love this woman’s honesty & vulnerability!!! Completely beautiful, THANK U!!! Blessings 💜
Heartfelt reaction, Lex. ❤️ We’re all wiser in hindsight.
I never shed a tear with this song I just grab any of my kids, grandbabies, or great grandbabies, and hold em tight till they either swear at the bear or giggle an wiggle to be free to dance... Being old is always a blessing with your generations of kin! Never feel bad to shed a tear but do show your joy with those you LOVE! Family, Faith and Freedom!!!
I'm at work on break watching watching your reaction...now I'm crying..lmao
Oh noooo lol 😆
What a blessing to have that special memory ❤️
Lex you brought tears to my eyes thinking about my own Dad and how much I still miss him after 40 years. He was barely 55 y/o by one month when the Lord took him home. I still think of him everyday 😢. I know I will see him again. 😇
I don’t have kids but if I did, I would definitely give Lex a hug like a father. To Brad, as one man to another, I appreciate you asking your woman “should we go on.“ A man that looks after his lady is rare indeed these days.🙏🏿
As for the song itself, it is a nice song with a life lesson in it. Just a suggestion, you should check out LeAnn Rimes’ “I need you.“ Have a blessed day.
Yes to Leanne!
I agree. Good job on asking to go on. Many guys would just keep on going cuz of the reaction video.
Lex, babygirl. Feel it. Feel it with everything!!! You've heard the song, but now you're HEARING and FEELING the song. Songs like this are what that is all about and I just love seeing you be raw with your emotions. Love you both!!! 💕💗💕
I started tearing up watching Alex cry. I’ve always loved this song. Simply a song about living life, and not just standing by and watching it
A very good friend of mine, who is a very well known Texas Country Music artist once said, “Music is the language of the soul”. That’s what music is supposed to do… to speak to a kind and receiving soul and evoke emotions living just below the surface. Those tears are evidence of a loving and endearing heart…God bless you…
Her voice sounds so hypnotic and beautiful.
As a dad of two daughters and a son, it's wonderful seeing you get so emotional and enjoying a memory of your Dad. I hope my kids have those same memories of me some day
Lex I was just fine listening to this song that I heard so many times before then you started crying and I started crying!! One big tearful wreck! What a beautiful memory you have dancing with your dad.
Not sure anybody could explain what this song is about more than beautiful Lex just did. Don’t sit it out…. Live! It comes with heartache!
This got me emotional watching Lex as the first vocals first came in and knowing the story behind it. Music is powerful! My dad passed away in 2019 and I still think about him everyday.
Omg. Lex is so precious!! This song always makes me cry too.
I didn't understand why she was so emotional about the song at first but the moment she told us, I cried instantly with her. Losing your dad is hard for a man or woman even many years later
My eyes filled with tears when I saw your reaction, the power of music.
Best part of this video is that these are Lee Ann's babies. Her voice is amazing. Your reaction is so precious Lex. I understand how ya feel. My cousin danced with her son at his wedding to this one. Not a dry eye in the house. Never be embarrassed to show your emotions. You do you, Honey.
Don't let people in your life ruin it for you is one of the wiser things I've heard in some time. That was off the cuff and fighting back tears, even more amazing.
As we get older we have more and
More memories and the songs we grew up with have more and more
Emotions attached. ❤️😘🎶
Beautiful song . written by a couple of song writers .. a married couple . Written for their child. It’s poetic and an important message I hope you really hear.
My dad and I used this song as a theme- even had a poster made up with these words on it. There were multiple times we decided to get up off the couch and go to the beach, the mountains, wherever after contemplating life’s choices. He passed in ‘08 and I miss him terribly every day. But this song keeps me in a good place.
My daughter’s high school dance team director always closes their yearly dance revue playing and signing this song to the outgoing Seniors. They always get very emotional and needless to say their isn’t a dry eye in the audience either. It’s a very special moment between the girls and their director.
My mother who passed when I was 21/22 in the summer of 05 dedicated this song to me for graduation. Everytime I hear this song I bawl like a baby.
When this song came out I about died because this is every thing you want to say to your children. Faith and hope are all you need
The sweetest most pure reaction I've ever seen on this song. Love you Lex!!!
My dad made me a music CD years ago... he's a big, hard man that only listens to blues and rock. He snuck this one in on me...breaks me every time I hear it.💗
Take those chances because we only get one time around to dance. Don't sit. This song has clearly brought back good memories for Lex. ❤🥰
Music is a time machine. Sometimes the place it takes you can hit you hard, especially through the lense of wisdom.
This song is definitely one of those songs that tug at your heartstrings. Having sons “Forever Young” hits me the same way; always end up with tears in my eyes and memories of them growing up and my wishes and wisdom I tried to impart.
Your reaction brought me to tears, not to mention the song, too. IT'S TOO MUCH. I'm a big softy after all is said and done, I don't mind saying. I'm 51 years old, and it took a long time to learn that emotional complexities are what unites us through music.
I love how patient Brad is. That's a great man right there! Thanks for all you do with this channel (now I'm a mess...lol)
I cried the first time I heard this song… and still do every time I hear it.. I have dedicated this song to my twin daughters Dallas and Shelby ❤️
It’s amazing how a certain song can take us back to an exact place and time and can create so much emotion. ❤️🩹
Wow - it is an interesting experience to realize how much a couple strangers on youtube can touch us just by sharing their genuine reactions to music. I truly wish you two Brad & Lex the best - you two seem like such genuine beautiful people.
I'm an ancient dad myself and it breaks my heart to see you cry sweet girl. BIG HUGS. I just want to thank you for sharing your heart with us .... I can only imagine how hard that must have been for you. And I would bet your dad felt those tears as well. Praying for love and happiness for you and yours in the months to come. 😃☺😁😍
I've never seen this video & haven't heard this song in AGES. But I love the spirit of this song. Take some chances and don't begrudge your choices. Have faith. Know that shit works out, exactly the way it's meant to. And. Dance. Love your reaction Lex!
It's a beautifully written song. Sending you a big hug, Lex. ❤
🫂 Honestly having your kid coming gives you a whole new perspective on a lot of things! I feel you overlook alot way back without truly grasping the magnitude of it all. Kids do change you or better yet, give you clarity and make you the best version of yourself!🫂 Much Love
Lex, you are so real and charming. Never fear to cry, you’re far from a robot.. You have a memory connection to this song and it’s fine. I’m 75 and everytime I hear “Wind Beneath My Wings” I cry, missing my Dad since 1994. Brad, she needs you.
I liked this song when it can out in 2000. My wife and I had our first if 3 daughters in 2004. I can't listen to this song since without tearing up wanting our daughters to live life. There has been tears of rejection and joy, we are still on our journey with them, but they are dancing and it is so wonderful to watch them grow and "dance". I pray all youth have an opportunity. Nothing more sad than not allowing a young person to begin to tap into their potential
That was a beautiful reaction Lex; this one always gets me too. Me and my mom don't get along very well (conflicting personalities and methods of being) but she would play me this song when I was little and it's always stuck with me
I'm finally home from the hospital and can watch this. You guys got me though a rough couple weeks. I wish I can do more to show my appreciation for the both of you. Love what you guys do, the respect you have for each other, and the love you have for each other. In my eyes you two are parents of the year and your not expecting till next year. Thank you both of you.
One of the most sweetest reactions to a song that I have ever seen. What a sweet woman..
One of my favorite tear jerkers, such a good message❤️
My best friend did her senior solo dance for ballet for this song. I will never not think of her practicing this song every in our high school.
Oh dear girl. 💔💙💖
Brad, please...be aware of these moments. This was an opportunity to gently gather her up and comfort her. Hormones? Sure. Emotional memories? Absolutely. LeeAnn speaks to the heart of the human experience. The neural memories encapsulated in Lex's being made this a VISCERAL experience, As.If it was/is happening, in the moment, real time. Powerful, valid, and an important opportunity, as her partner, to provide silent, physical support.
Sweet and impactful reaction. 💕✨🎶❤️🩹 #father #child #memory #dance #heart #emotion #human
exactly. He's learning.. xo But I've also seen her make that face before.. after a long rough day.. in their vlog and the camera was on her face and you could see she needed his hug.. his touch. Even though she's a strong strong female and carries her own. Then the camera got turned off and you knew he did it.. was there for her. I love these guys. I hope they continue to feed their love.. all throughout the rest of their days.
I like how you explained it.
I was supposed to dance with my grandfather to this song at my wedding, sadly he passed before that came to pass. Sooooo emotional.
I don't know how to put into words as to how he was looking at lex when she was in tears. Like if your girl is like that you'd want to hold her and know what she is feeling and comfort her. Like that's what I would do if I had a woman in my life like that.
I saw Lee Ann live a couple years ago. Great talent and emotional. I understand the tears. Both of my parents are gone now.
This is one of my favorite songs. Whenever I'm down or just having a bad stretch I listen to this cause it reminds me to not to be afraid to just dance. This Alan Jackson remember when and Phil Vassar in real love are on my happy Playlist.
One of the best graduation addresses I ever heard ( I was a college professor and heard many) used this song as its theme. It was awesome; most were Uber forgettable.
Its ok Lex, sometimes music does that. Brings up memories and a feeling that you didn’t even know was there. The power of music. This is a beloved song.
Lex, you have such a beautiful, sweet heart. I just love your naturally intuitive, open soul and the way you get so lost and caught up in good music. You are somethin' sweet lady. 💜
The song was written right after a break-up. The writer's mom was cursing out her ex when she got a call to go to a writers retreat. She decided to be positive and wish good things for herself and the ex instead of being angry. (The ocean line is because she was on a beach and the mountain line is because the retreat was in the mountains.) Womack changed the message to be about her kids.
Such a beautiful reaction to an amazing song. Lexi here is a huge hug. Looking back at songs now that you are older and wiser. Can definitely make them hit different. God bless y'all.
Great reaction, it’s a special thing to see someone with their heart so full of love, that it overflows and comes out as tears and laughter. Bless you both and don’t sweat it Lex I went through a few tissues watching that video too. Thanks for being the people you are, it’s very much appreciated…..👍🏼😜
As a human being, no matter what you do or what you have done or where your life has led you, this song brings out an emotional response like no other.
