Brad hold Lex close and never let her go.Lex is as real and pure as they come.
Yes indeed she is!
Is it in him
They are growing on me. I also like Jay & Amber and Shawn & Mel reactions.
Absolutely! She’s a gem and a keeper!
Indeed, I have seen Asia and BJ as well. Most recently, they reacted to the Shining. One of the most terrifying movies ever made. It's awesome that people are reacting to old music, but movies too
Wow, Lex started out so cheerful, then within a minute she was emotionally wrecked. Glad you got to relive a special moment with your dad with a new insight into the lyrics. As hard as that hit you, it's still good to feel it.
Man…. Don’t you EVER let that woman go!!!!! That Heart inside of her is just as beautiful as she is on the outside and it’s 100 times more precious.
I can’t even lie … I’m 53 and when I saw Lex react the way she did … I lost it!! I have 4 daughters … 3 whom are at Lex’s age!! This is what a Father hopes for his children. God bless you Lex … amazing to see you retouch memories with your Dad on a different level!!
I have four daughters as well, the oldest is only 8. Fastest 8 years of my life. Felt like just a moment.
Please, Lex -- Don't be embarrassed by your emotional reaction to this video. It is beautiful, and many of us shed tears during it. Wonderful for us to see your genuine reaction to it.
Red in Denver -
I cried too!! This is such a beautiful song in lyrics and melody!
The great Maya Angelou told the story of having to pull overr to cry as this song played on her car radio.
❤
It drives me absolutely CRAZEEE that people apologize when they cry! As long as emotions are genuine (not manipulative to get something), they are humanity at our best, and we should not apologize for tears. You feel your emotions Lex, its beautiful!
Best reality television ever!
You are not alone Lex! I'm a near 60 year old man and I cry every single time I hear this song - thinking about my daughters and hoping they understand this life theme I've tried to impart upon them. It brings back beautiful memories of "daddy-daughter" dances when they were young, as well as bittersweet times as we navigated a divorce. Tears of joy, guilt, happiness, brokenness, but behind it all - never-ending love for them...
You may be pregnant as well 🤷🏻♂️
Agreed from a near 65 year old man. Plus Lex’s maternal juices are flowing now!
I was going to write the same thing. I am 60, and now it's my grandchildren.
I'm a 50 year old man and I cry too every time I hear this song. You're not alone sir.
Just sweet lex
For the first 41 years of my life, I stayed home and did nothing important. Went to work, came home, went on the computer. Went to work, came home, went on the computer. I had a seizure 9 years ago. First time in my life. I fell bad on my leg and it blocked an artery. I spent 10 weeks on my back in the hospital , unable to move, and then another 3 months learning to walk with a severe disability. When I got out of the hospital, I promised myself I would never again 'sit it out'. I may be handicapped, I may not walk for long periods of time or I may need a wheelchair, but it's not stopping me from dancing. I went to France, I went to New York, Boston, Rimouski, Toronto, Canada's Wonderland, Chicago and more recently, Galaxy's Edge at Disney.
So trust me, you don't want to waste your time and look back on your years and wonder where those years have gone. I hope you dance.
I am a 61 year old man. Watching Lex's reaction touched both my heart and soul.
As soon as Lex started crying,
so did I. She's so strong and pure.
Me too 😢❤️
me too
Me, too. No shame in any of our emotion game.
Me also !
Me too!
Both of you are very real and special people. Thank you for inviting me into your lives. Blessings!
Lex is so sweet and genuine. Her love for her father gives me hope in this fallen world. She's a keeper Brad and I hope you dance with her as well.
Listen to Chris Stapletons cover of this. Amazing
This world is not yet fallen because of people like these. I am a former Marine 6’,3” and 250 pounds. Not ashamed to admit Lex is my spirit animal 😆
Awe Miss Lex I can feel your love for your father through this song.
Amen
As a father, to a beautiful daughter...... yep. I felt that.
Edit > I can't express how gorgeous your young lady was in the moment she really digested the lyrics, Brad. I don't mean the physical....... I mean, the soul. That was really amazing to watch. She had me tearing up too. Keep her close, bud...... she's a keeper.
any one else screaming at Brad to give Lex a hug? big hugs Lex !💜
Yes.. definitely I was thinking the entire time.
Pregnancy makes one indeed more sensitive !! 😜
yes, for sure
YES!!!!
100%
This song hits your emotions. I still tear up all these years later. Lex you’re a sweetheart!
I don't think anyone really understands this song until they become real parents. The years go by so fast. Cherish every moment you can.
Very true be there for your kids no matter what
This IS EXACTLY what I was going to say.
Until you have children of your own, you will never TRULY understand this song's lyrics....Except for Lex, tho lol 😄 She figured it out by imagining her father singing this to her.
Best honest reaction on youtube. My wife of 40 years just passed away at 60 years old and she loved this song so much it is getting to me right now watching you. Bless you guys.
I can't listen to this song without sobbing. It was on radio when my son had his first chemo treatment. It takes me back to that moment. This was years ago. My son is 37 yrs old now and healthy.
Lex, you made this old man tear up. I was screaming at my PC, give her a hug BRAD!!! That was a beautiful and genuine reaction, Lex. You're going to be an awesome Mom!🙏❤
Right. Honestly Brad, hug your wonderful wife and soon-to-be mother of your child. Your parent journey begins.
100% agree.
Yeah he tends to not wanna be involved with emotional stuff and be there for his woman. So sad.
That was sweet, me too, I was like what are you waiting for, hug her💗
@@WheresWaldo05 That’s a complete lie. Watch their Vlog channel. Watch the birth video! Brad goes above and beyond for Lex, and she always lets him know how grateful she is.
My sister-in-law passed away at 49 from breast cancer. This was the song she wanted played at her funeral❤ It bring a tear to my eye when I hear it now.
I lost my best friend and my wife to breast cancer as well I met her in 6 months we got married and we spent the next four three to four years dealing with breast cancer. Her spirit would have and she would have wanted me to do things the way the song. There's been times that I cried when I heard it because I know that was what my wife would want for me. God bless
@@hawkhm97 Sorry for your losses. ❤️
@@hawkhm97sorry for your loss bro..check out song by Joey and Rory called when I’m gone..she wrote it for her husband as she was fighting cancer as well, she passed in 2016 but the song and video are beautiful
If anyone is around when I pass, I hope they play this.
@@mikezeller4816 that song is beautiful by Joey and Rory. Believe it or not she was not sick when they wrote that song! 🥺
Lex, I'm so sorry for your loss, I lost my wonderful dad too, and I cried right along with you.
Me too.
Brad --- Bro, Lex needed you to give her a hug, dude.
When your girl has a moment like that where she is hit by life and the past and the emotional state that being pregnant puts women in, you gotta let her know you are there for her and even if you really don't get it or don't think it's that big of a deal, to her, it obviously is a very big deal. You've got to give her a solid hug and tell her she's alright. Let her know she's got you and she can count on you to be strong when she is feeling vulnerable.
Just a little coaching from an old wiseman.
Thanks for saying it. My version would not have been as mature as yours. Brad, put this comment in your husband/father playbook. Kenneth is absolutely correct.
I thought the same thing when I watched this video. I couldn’t believe he looked at her like wtf is wrong with you. Sad. Emotions are running high too especially when you’re pregnant.
.....
Let's not judge him guys. I can tell by looking in his eyes that he genuinely cared, some just show emotions differently.
@@austinbullock5841 --- Thanks. As the OP of this highlighted comment, I didn't want people to jump in and give Brad any grief.
I wanted to give him some wisdom that I've gained throughout the years as a brother or buddy.
Too his credit, he did ask if she wanted him to stop the song and the reaction, which was totally on point, and Lex said no.
But, as a 57 year old man who has had lots of girlfriends and a very very short marriage, I've learned that women never say what they really want. If you ask if they're okay they will always say yes but they aren't , or if they want us (men) to, leave/stay, fill in your own verb, and they will say the opposite or if not the opposite, then they will say whatever keeps them from looking like she's weak or being too emotional. They actually expect men to read between the lines, the way they do with everything a man says. But, women don't understand that men don't play that game. We say what we mean and there is no hidden meaning or agenda in between the lines when we talk. But women do that (speak without being direct and honest) on a regular daily basis, so they think everyone else does the same.
All men learn the hard way when it comes to women. Yet, no matter how much you learn, you will never know enough and never figure them out. Because when you do something that should be the right thing based on experience, it will still be wrong. LOL
Lex, this song should make you cry. A song from a mother straight to her children. It pulls at the heart strings.
Damn, Lex....you just made this grown man cry with all your crying. Love you guys.
That is the most sincere reaction that I’ve ever witnessed on UA-cam. God bless her and her dad.
Mama's got those hormones kickin' in!!!!
Put your arm around that girl, Brad!!!
All kidding aside...you two are the most genuine people in Reactionland. Much love and happiness to you both, and congratulations on the baby!!!❤
you can tell Lex emotion's are at a different level right now as it usually is with a mother to be.
Oh wow, is Lex pregnant?! Congrats!!
No, I don't think that it's pregnancy. This song made me cry so many times and I wasn't pregnant. This song can do that to you, especially if you have regrets and some kind of nostalgia.
Considering that she danced with her father to this song (a father who is now deceased) during a special time in her life, I would imagine we were going to see that reaction, pregnancy or not. No doubt, pregnancy can amplify emotions, or so I'm told (I'm a guy).
I don’t know ..I’m a grown ass man and this song tears me up every time. I’m also not pregnant to be clear.
Those two girls with Lee Ann throughout the video are her daughters, Aubrie & Anna Lise. I think that added a special touch to the meaning of the song -- a mother's wish for her children, "I Hope You Dance" ❤❤❤
When my eldest daughter graduated we threw a big party for her, and a video montage of her life was presented to her by my sister who worked in film production. And this song was on the soundtrack of the homemade DVD, which I had never heard before. So here we have a house full of people young and old, and I'm standing up there with in a BBQ apron holding a set of tongs while trying desperately to maintain my composure in front of my daughter and her assembled guests. It was almost impossible.
Well you made me cry, so… ❤️
Me too!
Well Lex , If it helps at all I cried along the whole time. You need a big hug . Love you both.
Kathy - I couldn’t have said it better.
They played this at a memorial service for Hospice patients who had died during the past year. My Dad was one of the Hospice patients who had died a few months earlier. I can’t listen to this song without crying. My Dad fought so hard but it wasn’t meant to be I guess. I miss my Dad so much. I love you Daddy.❤️
This is what music do to You.. Lex : Your reaction is fine , beautiful and genuine.. never , ever hold those feelings hidden. THIS is what makes this channel work. Thank You!!
Oh my Gosh, sweet Lex. Anyone has children can relate to this song, you want nothing but the best for your children, for them to live life to its fullest..I think Lex is so emotional because of those pregnancy hormones, but this song gets to everyone..it is beautiful.
I remember being pregnant and my emotions being on high alert. I cried at commercials if they were sentimental. But songs that I never paid much mind too made me cry.
I can't listen to the song without crying. It was played at my grandmother's funeral it's a beautiful song and it was her wish to all of her kids and granddaughters
I didn't understand why she was so emotional about the song at first but the moment she told us, I cried instantly with her. Losing your dad is hard for a man or woman even many years later
aww Lex...tears flowing here as well, in sympathy. it is such a beautiful song and so glad you have that memory with your dad, as emotional as it is. R.I.P. our darling dads. xxxxx
Brad....never let this beautiful girl down....She's A Keeper!
Lex... you are so in tune with humanity, you were given an audible cue and you managed to make sense of it. Not just for yourself but for me, and I'm sure, many others.
Lex, You got the message and that was what your Dad wanted for you at the Senior Dance. Every parent wants this for their children. Thank you for being strong enough to share your feelings with us. I had a few tears in my eyes, as well.
My mom is 77...whenever she hears "Dance with my Father Again" by Luther Vandross, same reaction for her dad. He's been gone a long time, but when love endures, loss is harder.
uh. That one is a punch in the gut. because ya. when one doesn't have a father.. or has experienced a lifetime loss.
I'm at work on break watching watching your reaction...now I'm crying..lmao
Oh noooo lol 😆
Not sure anybody could explain what this song is about more than beautiful Lex just did. Don’t sit it out…. Live! It comes with heartache!
Give her a great big hug and let her know we are all with you. The music moves her as it is supposed to. Keep the videos going.
I think we all cried, and we all need a splash of cold water to the face once and a while. Thank y’all!
I did not expect this, thanks for sharing why...we love you Lex!
Love you!! ♥️
@@BradAndLex Y'all are so damn adorable together. May God continue to bless you both.
There are some songs , we all have them ,that take you to another place and where tears are sometimes the result . Brad , you are a lucky man , give Lex a big hug and cuddle and tell her she dances perfectly .
A very good friend of mine, who is a very well known Texas Country Music artist once said, “Music is the language of the soul”. That’s what music is supposed to do… to speak to a kind and receiving soul and evoke emotions living just below the surface. Those tears are evidence of a loving and endearing heart…God bless you…
My mom was very sick before she died and I played this song at her funeral because I felt like she was out of pain and suffering, And I wanted her to dance in Heaven and be happy ❤️ so this song has special meaning to me
Brad, I hope you know what a treasure you have in your wife. What a wonderful mother your child will have! I'm touched.
You know I lost my grandma back in 04 and that day this song came on and it makes me bawl like a baby everytime
Beautiful song . written by a couple of song writers .. a married couple . Written for their child. It’s poetic and an important message I hope you really hear.
Heartfelt reaction, Lex. ❤️ We’re all wiser in hindsight.
Don't be embarrassed Lex. Just shows you have a living beating heart. I love music for this reason.
Bless your heart sweet Lex!!! I cried, too!!! Hold on to this advice and pass it along to your little ones!!! They will be thankful that you did!!
Lex: I love the beauty and honesty of your emotions!! Please, never lose that!!! Things can happen in life that can make you very cold and hard hearted. Some of us wait until it seems impossible to ever find true emotion again. Never change sweetheart! Congratulations on finding out about your son! What a beautiful gift!! Sending you and Brad lots of love from Pasco County. 💜💜💜
oh that was probably the most real reaction I have ever had the pleasure to witness! Lex I was young when I lost my Dad. I was 28. I'm 62 now and I miss him just as much now as I did when he passed. I talk to him when I need him. Now honey you can sing and dance to this song with your beautiful child. Dad is with you every step of this amazing journey to the next part of your life. Enjoy every second of it. ✌️♥️
our jobs can replace us by the end of the day, were we to die on the job. If we die on the job, as a parent, there's literally no replacement. The job world is the illusion.. the family is the real world. xo
lex is the most authentic person on youtube!
As a human being, no matter what you do or what you have done or where your life has led you, this song brings out an emotional response like no other.
Lex, babygirl. Feel it. Feel it with everything!!! You've heard the song, but now you're HEARING and FEELING the song. Songs like this are what that is all about and I just love seeing you be raw with your emotions. Love you both!!! 💕💗💕
Lex you brought tears to my eyes thinking about my own Dad and how much I still miss him after 40 years. He was barely 55 y/o by one month when the Lord took him home. I still think of him everyday 😢. I know I will see him again. 😇
Maybe the best and truest reaction ever.
Bless you guys. Many of us are missing our mother or father and feel the same way.
Its ok Lex, sometimes music does that. Brings up memories and a feeling that you didn’t even know was there. The power of music. This is a beloved song.
I’m 43 years old and this song always makes me tear up as well .. beautiful song
I don’t have kids but if I did, I would definitely give Lex a hug like a father. To Brad, as one man to another, I appreciate you asking your woman “should we go on.“ A man that looks after his lady is rare indeed these days.🙏🏿
As for the song itself, it is a nice song with a life lesson in it. Just a suggestion, you should check out LeAnn Rimes’ “I need you.“ Have a blessed day.
Yes to Leanne!
I agree. Good job on asking to go on. Many guys would just keep on going cuz of the reaction video.
Aww you set me off crying as well when you explained why it meant so much to you. Gorgeous how music can move us so much. Thanks.
Lex....oh I see I'm not the only one getting emotional listening to this song. This song runs so deep with being human. One of the most beautiful songs ever written and recorded. Perfection!
Hands down, the best reaction I have ever watched. Very unlikely I'll ever witness another like this one. Absolutely beautiful.
May I be bold? It warms my heart to see young people venturing out of their comfort zone and hearing music that uplifts and speaks about life, love, family and country.
🤍
P.S.
Wait tell your in your 60s.
You'll have an even more profound "oh, snap" moments.
Much love ❤️
Best part of this video is that these are Lee Ann's babies. Her voice is amazing. Your reaction is so precious Lex. I understand how ya feel. My cousin danced with her son at his wedding to this one. Not a dry eye in the house. Never be embarrassed to show your emotions. You do you, Honey.
I'm not sure which broke me up more
The song, or Lex's heartfelt reaction.
Dang. Tears falling, eyes watering, nose running...
Thanks a lot, guys...
What broke me was how pathetic Brads reaction was and lack of empathy and care for his woman. Kiss the gal for crine out loud. Or at worst hug her. And then he literally was dumbfounded and had zero words. How guys like this get the girl are beyond me. And then someone like me who has FAR more to offer ends up single for life. What a tragedy!
🫂 Honestly having your kid coming gives you a whole new perspective on a lot of things! I feel you overlook alot way back without truly grasping the magnitude of it all. Kids do change you or better yet, give you clarity and make you the best version of yourself!🫂 Much Love
My daughter’s high school dance team director always closes their yearly dance revue playing and signing this song to the outgoing Seniors. They always get very emotional and needless to say their isn’t a dry eye in the audience either. It’s a very special moment between the girls and their director.
My mother who passed when I was 21/22 in the summer of 05 dedicated this song to me for graduation. Everytime I hear this song I bawl like a baby.
As beautiful a song as has ever been written. There is no greater love than the mother for her child.
My best friend did her senior solo dance for ballet for this song. I will never not think of her practicing this song every in our high school.
I've never seen this video & haven't heard this song in AGES. But I love the spirit of this song. Take some chances and don't begrudge your choices. Have faith. Know that shit works out, exactly the way it's meant to. And. Dance. Love your reaction Lex!
I started tearing up watching Alex cry. I’ve always loved this song. Simply a song about living life, and not just standing by and watching it
Take those chances because we only get one time around to dance. Don't sit. This song has clearly brought back good memories for Lex. ❤🥰
For myself... i think it is great You can release your emotions like this Lex, it means life and circumstance hasn't hardened your heart and closed off your feelings. Awesome Woman Brad...
Lex has got that GLOW , in my opinion a woman is always her most beautiful when she is with child. Congrats to y'all. Brad will cry too, when he see's his 1st child or at least I did. Best wishes and many blessings upon your growing family. I had my kids late in life, my oldest, my daughter is 10th grade. I hope I make it to her senior father/daughter dance. This is the best reaction I've seen by anyone on any channel to any song.
Lex is always so genuine, never afraid to show herself...love you guys
I was supposed to dance with my grandfather to this song at my wedding, sadly he passed before that came to pass. Sooooo emotional.
A girl in my graduating class sung this at our graduation. It still gets me every time, and even more so now that I have three kids of my own (20, 13 ans 10).
Lex, never worry about those tears. Your reaction was beautiful to watch. Reactions like yours, where you can see someone truly touched by the music are the absolute best to see. So many emotions on your face.
My dad and I used this song as a theme- even had a poster made up with these words on it. There were multiple times we decided to get up off the couch and go to the beach, the mountains, wherever after contemplating life’s choices. He passed in ‘08 and I miss him terribly every day. But this song keeps me in a good place.
When this song came out I about died because this is every thing you want to say to your children. Faith and hope are all you need
One of the best graduation addresses I ever heard ( I was a college professor and heard many) used this song as its theme. It was awesome; most were Uber forgettable.
Your reaction brought me to tears, not to mention the song, too. IT'S TOO MUCH. I'm a big softy after all is said and done, I don't mind saying. I'm 51 years old, and it took a long time to learn that emotional complexities are what unites us through music.
I love how patient Brad is. That's a great man right there! Thanks for all you do with this channel (now I'm a mess...lol)
That was a beautiful reaction Lex; this one always gets me too. Me and my mom don't get along very well (conflicting personalities and methods of being) but she would play me this song when I was little and it's always stuck with me
Classic country music is good at giving you "the feels". ❤👌🏽
I saw Lee Ann live a couple years ago. Great talent and emotional. I understand the tears. Both of my parents are gone now.
Your heart shines through the darkness of this world young lady!! I thank you for your tears of joy!!!! Thanks!!!!!
Man, my boy Brad wasn't giving poor Lex a break, I was praying for him to stop after one minute into the song. 😅
You're a cool couple and Lex is special, like a treasure or a unicorn. How can you not love her?❤
This got me emotional watching Lex as the first vocals first came in and knowing the story behind it. Music is powerful! My dad passed away in 2019 and I still think about him everyday.
As we get older we have more and
More memories and the songs we grew up with have more and more
Emotions attached. ❤️😘🎶
I am a 71 year 0ld man. I have spent a lifetime ''sitting it out''. I never took chances or stepped out of my comfort zone. I am alone & never had children. I can't help wishing I had been more adventurous or acted on a whim. Or asked that pretty girl to dance with me, overcoming my fear of rejection, but I never did. Maybe I would have created some sweet memories to carry with me into these years of my life And maybe, just maybe, if I hadn't built a safety net around me, I wouldn't be alone. Make sure you love & laugh & go dancing barefoot in the rain & lie down & stare at the stars in the heavens. Be brave & hold each other close & share those moments together.
Well said Mr. Brown, God bless you sir. Dale at 64
@@daleturman9522 Thank you Dale. God bless you as well.
I cried the first time I heard this song… and still do every time I hear it.. I have dedicated this song to my twin daughters Dallas and Shelby ❤️
My mom used to play this song to me when I was a little girl & I never realized how powerful it really was until I listened to it while I was pregnant. When I hear it now...I think of my mom & my son. Lex, you are such a beautiful soul! Love yall!
As a dad of two daughters and a son, it's wonderful seeing you get so emotional and enjoying a memory of your Dad. I hope my kids have those same memories of me some day
This song never hits as hard as is does when you are on a brand new path in life.
