Huge props to Hailey. Especially in the later part. That zone is not a joke, and shes riding it effectively solo, never been there before and in the wet.
I would give up my first born to ride there. That is the most beautifully picturesque place on earth, with trails that i would enjoy riding for years. Thanks for sharing these breathtakingly beautiful trails
I just recently got into mountain biking. Im very fit, very healthy, and very active. My first few rides were on vedder mountain in chilliwack simply because i live near by. I just rode mount seymour yesterday, and its easily the most fun ive ever had, but also the most physically demanding and physically challenging thing ive ever done. Absolutely loved it and cant wait to get back up there.
Welcome to the Shore Phil. You two rode those trails like absolute champs. Those lower trails scare the sh-t out of me! Really enjoyed watching this one.
I'd love to spend more time checking out the other weird things that the shore has to offer. North shore tech is very trialsy, which isn't my specialty but i enjoy nonetheless!
Excellent video! My two favorite MTB UA-camrs riding together. I've got to get out there someday. Watching Nick's videos of this area always just blows my mind
Wow, everything brownish(wood & stuff) looked so incredible soapy and slippery. Like: -don’t use the brakes, whatever you do don’t use the brakes. Such an inspiration to see someone go down those trails with that amount of control. Looking forward to some Whistler stuff.
Love it Phil! Rode this for the first time today now that I'm moved back here and you're completely right, you gotta get used to it. I thought tech was my strong suit but this slow speed, tight corner north van tech is making me feel like a beginner again
Totally bought my first enduro the other day after a couple of years on a hard tail! Got a great deal on a 2021 GT force sport 29’er! After spending so much time watching your channel and seeing how capable the bikes are and how aggressively they can be ridden if you have the skills. Can’t wait for it to be delivered 😍😍
Great choice man. I have a 2020 GT Force 29 Expert. It’s a great bike and it totally rips. I’m running a 170mm fork up front currently and it’s super fun on descents.
@@RedRidesMTB nice! :) and it’s good to hear that you’re running a 170mm fork, I ideally wanted a lo(her travel bike but I couldn’t afford one. That extra 10mm tho mate 😍👌😂
@@owenjacka2658 honestly the 150 out back feels like more than it is. Also keep an eye on the used market. I just sold my old 170mm Fox Performance 38 for $400. You could probably a Float 38 or a Rockshox Dominion for cheaper. The Dominion RC is going for under 300 on Jenson USA right now
I want to ride the Shore SO BADLY!!! I grew up there. Started riding there, but didn't really know how and where to ride. Trying to convince work to let me travel down there via car so I can bring my bike. =)
When coming to shore take time for you to learn rollin on step stuff they all roll anything here doin that massive slab on wet is lit no wonder nik says pass😂
Ahhh.... Classic shore riding.... Even had the fog going for extra effect..... This kiddies is where our sport became what it is today.... There is no Shore like the Northshore, and that's foreshore!
the north shore has been on my bucket list since 01? i still have some mtb videos on vhs. heading out there in a few weeks. hoping i can find something to ride
It's one of the few places that exceeds expectations. It's really surreal and i only touched a minuscule sliver of the trails. The place is surreal coming from the east coast.
Those old growth trees up there are really something else, it's a shame they've let so many of the older Douglas firs which are some of the largest trees in the world get logged. There's so few of those big ones left.
i love your videos you really did inspire me to get better and farther thank you phil! enjoy all the fun that you have you should go to draper utah to mtb. 😁
I don't remember them off the top of my head right now, but If you scroll a bit, you should find a comment ive responded to somewhere with that trail names.
Wait woah that first trail- that we shouldn't say- i think i could ride that- the wood and rocks weren't slippery? I've crashed too many times in wet conditions and that looked really wet
There's definitely plenty of unsanctioned stuff there, but as of fairly recently I believe CBC has been completely reworked, officially sanctioned by the local trail organization, and is on trail forks
Phil, or anyone else in the comment section here, do you know exactly which trails these were in this vid? We are traveling to Vancouver at the end of the month, and would love to try this line that you and Nick rode.
I think the route we did was Cbc, pinch flat alley, corkscrew salvation, pingu, and boogie man. There may have been some offshoots that we did but thats the basic route
Stole that audio clip from another part of the video where i didn't misspeak :P The fact that both seymour and cypress start with and "s" sounded was short circuiting my brain 🫠
In my opinion BC is everything i love most about riding. I'm glad i dont live there so I dont take it for granted each time i visit and it's always a new experience.
Great to have you out! I’ll have to come to the east coast.
Quebec is a short drive from me, lots to hit up out here!
Huge props to Hailey. Especially in the later part. That zone is not a joke, and shes riding it effectively solo, never been there before and in the wet.
25:46 .... whose ever heard Phil say that before. Loved the choice of words 😂
so cool to see someone riding my local trails!
Same!!
The north shore is legendary for good reason. The terrain and building out there is unlike anything else.
@@SkillsWithPhil I’m somewhat new to the sport and I never knew there were such great trails right by my house!
I love you for keeping the OTB in the edit. We are all human!

"Nic has a tweaked wrist and hurt leg". Rides like a wild man and cleans 99% of the trail. 😮 Great job guys!!

the smokey forest and piney undergrowth.. amazing scenery for such a fun trail

good to see nick is back on the bike so soon after his fall a few days ago!!!
Stoked to see you riding this terrain with VanCan. Can't wait to see who else you end up riding with on this trip. 🤙
I love that Nic got you riding the wooden features. Great video.
Great video. I’ll be heading there next September
It's literally the coolest place, you'll love it.

Great video. Cool to see you riding the North Shore. Wish you could ride with Nic, Dale and Dave on a ride.
That last one didn't look much worse than Rastaman at Perry Hill but video never does it justice. You're awesome Phil, nice videos!
Makes rastaman... i mean small axe look like a green!
Just rode the North Shore for the first time, coming from Sweden it was a veeeeery new experience 🤠
Boogieman sooooooo GOOD
YES!!! The coop i have been rooting for!! The only one missing was Dangerous Dave. Awesome Video!!!!
thanks for taking us along ✌
THAT LAST HIT WAS GNARLY' I KNOW UR GONNA GO BACK TO THAT DIP' KEEP THE VIDS COMING DOOD
Never did I think I’d see the day of Phil struggling on a trail. He’s human after all!! Seriously though… this really puts the shore into perspective.
That rock work is nice. My absolute favorite type of trail work is rock stacking

That was great!!! Thanks... 👌
Been exploring Seymour as well lately… Nic is also my influence on getting up there! The trails are beautifully crafted👌🏻.
I could spend a year there and barely touch most of the trails. It's insane
@@SkillsWithPhil love it! Started my YT channel last year and I have a ton of trails to explore! My list is huge!!!

Crazy to be here so I really love the videos man keep it coming
This is sick man, hope you guys take some time to ride Squamish as well! So many iconic trails out there.
Dude... loving these long form trail rides with the Canadian Bros .. You'll be logging some good view hours on these ones! (and nice riding!)
16:55 “oh dear god, Phil don’t look down”. 😂
Love the sound of your bike man
Masterful riding. Wow.
very cool trails
Loved this one
What a perfect day on the shore 😍
beautiful trail !!!
Epik trail awesome video
Great to see Rick and Phil, great combo 🔥🔥🔥
Love that you're riding with Vancan! Linking back up with Boostmaster next?
Great video!
Super cool this collabo-vloggo!👌🤌👍
lower boogieman, was outside my pay grade. also those long elevated skinnies at the top… and a bunch of other stuff
thats a gorgeous trail
good to see you making a caution call when it did not feel right, Phil.

Great job! Videos don’t do these trails justice. I don’t think people who don’t ride these trails will appreciate how fast you just rode them blind.
You should do more videos of the shore, also you should try the woodlot in maple ridge.
Sick riding, gotta get my money up and ride trails like these
A crash... He's human ladies and gentlemen.. man I wish I could get over to there that looks ace.. great vid
First time I see Phil not sending something 😮😮
Looks like you got some classic foggy Shore conditions!
The best kind of conditions!
Great video

Planning to got to Mt Seymour soon. What are the names of these trails? Great video, thanks!
I love my gortex socks out here on the west coast.
LOL. This would be a black trail east of the Mississippi... talking the part before Boogeyman. Great riding by all.
Awesome riding trails, and you also might see a Bigfoot while you're out there. 👍
Cool.....
What is the name of that trail at 16:48?? Heading out in October and really want to ride this one :)
The add popping up as Phil’s falling down a cliff😅😅
Is that where they decided to put it lol!? That's actually hilarious.

gday from australia phill ..what year is your gt model bike mate? ..im 56 so thinking about getting going on the mountain bike gig
How do you maintain traction so well over muddy, slippery rocks?
Maybe Phil needs to take a trip out and sesh Adrenaline and Serenity ;)
the shore looks fun! well done Hailey as well!!
Any trail feature ideas for Richmond after riding Seymour?
Damn, this Fox helmet looks incredibly good
Phil, Nick, Dave and Dale need to do a colab who agrees ?
Dave and Dale would own me in Trialsy north shore tech, but I'd love to when the stars align!
When will you be in whistler? Might be up there at the same time!
Bummer I just got back home. I was there during crankworx. 2 weeks of jam packed riding!
Darn! Maybe I’ll catch you another time 😂 how was crankworks?
What multitool is that? Looks super compact.
i love your videos you really did inspire me to get better and farther thank you phil! enjoy all the fun that you have you should go to draper utah to mtb. 😁
You should definitely start doing merch. Also is highland a good place for blue trails and getting into downhill?
Phil utilizing the boomer selfie angle in the opening scene xD
lol! I had the camera on my helmet, it was hard o position inside a small sedan lol
What are the trails called from beginning to end? I'd like to do this same ride!
I don't remember them off the top of my head right now, but If you scroll a bit, you should find a comment ive responded to somewhere with that trail names.

looks slippery, thx💦🚴♀
Please Phil… next time go to the Sunshine Coast BC 🙌

Settings for audio please , its soo good👌👌👌
Hi ❤❤❤
You'd want to have good breaks on the wet ground.
Yo what was the first trail yall rode??
I'm on my phone so i can't find it, but there's a previous comment that i responded to that has the route as best as i can remember.
