All your Videos have a distinguished vibe to them. But the Videos with you and Hailey riding together have a special vibe that really sets them apart from all your other work. All your Videos are good, but watching both of you riding together just makes me happy. Because you are happy. All the best to both of you.
Hailey should start a channel! I could watch her more relaxed rides and dream of possibly getting to that level. There is no way I could ever get where Phil is with just getting into mountain biking at this age. Probably could never get to Hailey's level but a man can dream, right?
Hey Phil I'm a 13 year old boy who dreams of being in redbull hardline one day, you are such a good rider and give me so many tips from line choices etc thanks heaps. Cheers Max.
Hi Phil, love the channel and the bike! I actually picked up at GT Force Carbon Pro last season and I love it! Only question I have for you is, why is your bike so quiet??? I get that you have a silent hub but my gt sounds like it has a lot of chain slap.
Glad i skipped Whistler this year. Plenty of great BC parks to explore (Sun Peaks, Revelstoke, etc) ... I'll go next year when the Fitz lift is spinning.
The main lift being down definitely sucked, but it was not bad all things considered. Whistler is fun because of everything going on and not just the riding. The riding is what obviously draws people to the area but in my opinion, is only a small part of what makes it such a great experience.
Rippin rutabaga isn’t a new trail, it was the end of dirt merchant, before dirt merchant pro-line was built. It doesn’t see much traffic, because dirt merch is way more fun
Random question but early in the video I noticed a sound I get on my bike around turns, it’s like the disc brake is just tapping something and making a metallallic noise. Does anyone know what that is and if it’s fine?
Check your Axels are tight, or any wheel play like bearings ect. otherwise it's probably just the rear linkage/triangle flexing a little and you have almost no pad clearance which is nothing to really worry about.
@@HarryL2020 ok, actually after posting this I realized my front wheel was loose. I built the bike and didn’t realize my 38 has a pinch bolt on the through axel so that’s probably why it kept coming undone and making disc noises. Thanks for the reply!
@@nikounourbakhsh8433 no worries, also have a 38 here and yeah loosen the pinch bot, tighten the axel, cycle the fork a few times, and then tighten the pinch bolt. Should be set for that specific wheel forever since it's a floating axel system which accounts for wheel manufacturing tolerance/ inaccuracies.
@@SpencerBaumno way, best to just wait till next year when the Fitz lift is spinning ... Better to hit up other parks in BC (Revelstoke, Sun Peaks, etc).
The constant riding and traveling was catching up to me. By the time we got to Whistler i was pretty exhausted from being on the road. When i tried to ride, i just felt off, out of my element and I didn't feel myself until maybe the last day there. My shoulder was also bugging me the whole trip and I couldnt pin point why.
Literally no idea. It just progressively felt weaker as the week went on, especially hard impacts. I'm assuming it was a result of over use or strain, because there wasn't any single even that caused it. But in (almost) 30 years I've been riding, these things pop up from time to time, and usually go away on their own.
I've had something similar, and seemed to have gotten worse with riding, I found this extremely helpful after wasting a lot of money at PT: ua-cam.com/video/YsVF51fOZco/v-deo.html@@SkillsWithPhil (thanks for the videos)

Most of us couldn't get to Phil's level even if we started riding as a toddler, so don't feel bad 🤣
lol, so true
Do it Hailey! Big ups from the northern fam!
Yeessss
I love the handling of the Little Shredder. No riding their tails and calling (even “politely”) at them to kindly move over.
Imagine hearing Phil fly past you just casually talking to himself 😂
Always great to see you a Hailey riding together. Stay warm this winter. Cheers!
Thanks Kevin!
I appreciate the upload Phil, always good for some “previous season” shreds to cope with the winter blues
I miss this weather 😢
Me too. December is my least favorite month :(
Phil, your riding is sick!! And by "sick" I mean it makes me sick how good you ride. 😆
I love these bike park videos
Another great vid phil
Great to see other trails
Steve 🇬🇧
Damn, that looks so fun!!!
I'm always reminded how ridiculously fast Phil is when he rides busy trails and catches people 3 miles ahead 😂
Nice! Late season ride vid!
Now that riding and trail building season is done, I can finally get around to editing some of the videos that I've been putting off.
love your whistler content phil and everything else. but whistler is sick
That top tube is so cool on the GT force
looks like such a mega time. really gotta make it out there one of these years

I think Phil’s bike had 100k miles on it
This bike has been put through the ringer but it's been an absolute trooper.
Idk but how does it stay together with all that chunk ?
@@SkillsWithPhil true that haha! 💯
So sick

I´m down for that car/drop challenge. Sounds like fun!

Not gonna lie, it is nice to see Whistler riding that isn't Dirt Merchant, A-line and the other usual suspects.
Its sucks so bad when its busy like that always waiting on people
what fox chest protector is hailey wearing? i need to buy one and was thinking i should go for fox
I think it's called the "Raceframe Roost Chest Guard"
thank you ❤@@SkillsWithPhil
Phil + coward levers = Nope!!!😮

Can’t even make this up I was watching the rock role at the start and I said “like a pro” and a second later you say it
wow 12min
are we going to see you snowboard this year phil?
I'm not ruling it out, but I'm going to say probably not, but we'll see.
Hahaha at 8min 30 second did you really sad Grüezi? I was flashed bro😂i am swiss and Grüezi translate to hello😂love it
Haha no, i said greasy because it was slippery but now i know how to say hello in Swiss!
@@SkillsWithPhil hahahaha oh my Bad mate😅🤭thanks for responding and i really love your videos! 👌🤘🫡

I hit that captain safety rock roll in the pouring rain once. would not recomend.
I think the handlebar is too wide for Hailey, need to cut a view mm ✌
I'm too early
Phil do you have white lung ???
This was from this past summer and I was just feeling a bit run down from all the traveling and riding we had done up to this point.
@@SkillsWithPhil how are your lungs , the fires messed a lot of peoples lungs up with particular matter especially those who work outdoors !!!
Hi
Are you left-handed phil?
I get that question a lot due to my watch. I'm right handed, but i wear my watch on my right wrist.
