- Today we're working on this ridiculously expensive £7000 Louboutin collection! They all need some restoring so we're adding caselli mirror soles to get the signature red loub soles back to mint condition. I've also thrown in a few more POV shots for a bit of fun!

Why does Louboutin not put red rubber soles on their shoes from the start? Are they really saving that much by just putting on some paint that will wear off and leave the customer dissatisfied?

Hi Dan, it was great to see my wife's collection ( and mine ) being restored so beautifully, you should of heard her scream when you started with the belt sander, it was funny, i cant wait to see them on Saturday, to all the viewer's out there, this guy is so good, i drove nearly 2 hours to get them done, and it was purely because of his professional videos, Dan thankyou, they look so good

The guy has extremely steady hand. Trimming the edge of a shoe soul freehand and never scratching the shoe itself and then painting the edge freehand as well is not easy at all! Great job and interesting videos! Best wishes from the USA!
I can't believe I am watching a bloke repairing shoes - not exactly the first time either lol. Amazing attention to detail and it's brilliant seeing the work that goes into normal jobs - as well as the special ones like these (the "day in the life" video with normal day to day stuff was great too). Well done on taking a course to boost your knowledge - as an IT geek with over 30 years experience, I can say that you never stop learning :) I reckon you are right about the other vlog idea - might be too much for one person. clearly what you are doing now works well, so don't spread yourself any thinner :)
I love no matter what brand or what cost the shoe, they all get maintained in about the same manner.
Avoiding burnout avoids having an over saturated channel. Improves content quality. That’s a win/win for both of us😎🤙
Wow, I've only watched a couple of Dan's videos (UA-cam has figured out I like fixing things) but his honesty about burnout and the straightforward way he talked about it was not something I was expecting. Respect for Dan.

We have a Timpsons in my town. Whenever I walk past (which is quite often) I’ve only ever seen the guy with his feet up playing on his phone! I guess quality and attention to detail brings the work in Dan 👍
I have a local Timpson. I took one of my pair of louboutins to be repaired. He did an ok job, but not good enough to fool the _real_ Louboutin cobblers. “We didn’t fix these” was the spoiler.
That’s why I’ve sent my loub boots to be attend to by Dan.
It fascinates me how many aspects of this job parallel so many other jobs on a different scale. These skill can also be applied to auto body work, woodworking, carpet installation and so many other things. As a do-it-yourselfer, I appreciate your attention to detail and great work. Continued success from Pennsylvania, USA!
Coming from a tradesman in a totally different industry, the craftmanship/skill and care you take in your profession is truly inspiring. Almost makes me want to shift careers and learn another trade at 41yo. A new subscriber here mate.

This was a big order of shoes for one customer & they all came out nicely 👌 I was unaware that heel tips were sanded down, I always thought the tips came in different sizes.

Avoiding burnout is a big deal these days, I had a bad one in 2015 and again in 2021. Also its so good to hear you're busy with lots of work and customers. Things are pretty bad here in Canada, and things like cobblers, restaurants, specialty shops, etc etc (small business's in general) are closing at an alarming rate. Continued success Dan, and all the best from Canada.
This hit me hard. In canada, we are watching our country go towards failed state status. I’m really worried, because things seem like they’re going to get much worse before they get better.

I just bought a walking foot industrial sewing machine from an older lady that was moving into assisted living. Gonna keep it around for my own use. Your right though Canada is going to shit.

Only reason I know Tring is finding a copy of Escort in the playing fields near my house. There was a fine milf from Tring in the Readers Wives section. Found it when I was 13. This channel pretty much has everything I’m looking for. Craftsmanship, shoes, artisan, attention to detail, fashion, a gorgeous cobbler…I would have watched this even if the cobbler wasn’t hot. But since the cobbler is hot I’ve watched and also subscribed.

Louboutin literally went out and bought some cheap heels and used nail varnish to paint the bottoms and sold them for extortionate prices to women. What a legend

Hi Dan. I remember back when you did a video where you put a protective coating on some Bambi stilettos to keep the paint from wearing off. Do you do the same thing with some of the beautiful artwork you do on some of the soles you paint to protect them ? Also have a Happy Easter. Cheers.🙂🐰🐥
Those protective soles were sort of experimental, they don’t seem to last very long!
Wow, 7,000 GBP? Says a lot about you that the customer trusted you with the shoes. Excellent job, done well. Good to see another video from you. If it ever feels like a burden or a chore, that would suggest that you’re doing too much. One thing I like about your videos is your enthusiasm, I’d hate to see that go. Still staggered about the price of those shoes though!

I wonder how a shoe of that price range doesnt come with a sole like that by default...
Because the price pays for the brand and its signature red paint. Louboutin just got the idea from seeing an assistant's red nail polish. He now sells that red nail polish for $50 a tiny bottle. I love Dan and his work, but heck, if anyone wanted an authentic repair, just buy a bottle of the nail polish and paint the sole yourself.
Fashion shoes are the biggest rip off I know of.

I like the extra step you wanted to take to toughen the surface up even more because it shows your work ethic HOWEVER I do agree that it’s unnecessary because it’s actually just taking lifespan off the soles by thinning in down even more when roughing the surface up. Great video btw!
