I have a pair of Dainite soled NPS boots, love them to bits and this was fun to watch, never seen a sole being made, always thought it would involve almost witch levels of mixing and boiling to get the sole to harden and behave the way they need it to. My boots were hard to break in, lots of blisters and sores but now I swear I got so drunk one night I actually ran full speed down the street wearing them for a good half mile catching up to someone and had worn them for about 10 hours of drinking and walking prior and when I woke up my feet felt absolutely fine. The boots and soles are still holding up perfectly. Dainite, you have a +1 from me. Never been happier.
That was a very interesting insight into how the soles & heels are made. Full marks to you for your presentation and full marks to the sweet and lovely Carla for her top-notch camera work. Ihope we see more of her in future videos!
Just had Dainite soles put on 2 pairs of brogues. Tring's a bit too far for me but I did source an experienced, skilled cobbler locally, after watching many of your great videos. I wanted a proper 'Dan the cobbler' job doing on them. Very happy with how they turned out; better than new.
Cheers Dan. Excellent vid. I love leather soles on proper shoes, but, with the climate in the UK, unless you have a very cossetted life, your shoes will meet water, which will knacker them in short order. I think the Dainite alternative is fabulous in that we can have a properly made shoe, that can be properly reparable and still be grippy and durable... I still love leather soles though. Well done Dainite and all who sail in her.
I'm surprised how many machines is actually involved with the manufacturing of something I wrongly assumed would be quite simple. The workers there were highly skilled, it's a really well ran place from the looks of it. I loved this factory tour, I actually learnt a lot of new things by this!
Northern England…Like the home of Tom Aspinall?…going to pretend though..Love from Memphis, TN USA 🤗 (That factory was so CLEAN and colorful, like a great place to work)
Great video! Very interesting to see where the soles I wear are made. And it’s so nice to see how happy all the staff at Dainite were. Seems like a good place to work. I’m glad Ron was saved… nearly had a Wilson moment there. 🏐
Nice! My home town! Didn’t realise they still manufactured in the town. In the world we currently live in it’s great to see local manufacturing still alive and well! Good on ya for pushing the British made stuff! Top job 👍🏻
I am immensely impressed that you have a very fine imported automobile - my favorite AND you left the controls on the left side. It is great that you were able to show how heels, soles are made; I would have never guessed what was to come from that bolus shaped piece you showed us. Your videos are most interesting to see as we don't have many shoe shops around us anymore. One seems to have to ship shoes away to get a new heel or sole or repair. Expensive shoes are rarer too. Thanks a lot.
Like a mini version of Inside the Factory, nice! And sorry, but I keep thinking of A World's End whenever Tim says 'blanks'. 😁 (One of my favorite movies, btw)
I wanna know what it's like driving in the passengers seat, on the right side of the road? That American Hell Cat on British roads, lol. Bet it was really weird at first.😂😂 This is a really cool video. Didn't realize how much goes into having to purchase different heals and soles. Makes me appreciate Cobblers even more. Take care and keep up the exceptional job.
Ok Dan… that was surprisingly easy to make those. I think it’s time you find an eBay hot press. Than collab with a local machine shop UA-camr to make you some custom Tring molds. Start putting on your own stuff too! P.S. I really want to see you make some shoes from scratch. Even over multiple episodes, even if you’ve never done it… would be great to see you learn it!
Camerawoman has the most amazing smile.

Good to See Annabelle again. She needs to feature in more vids
Always love a factory tour. Great to see the Dainite start to finish. Good job Dan (and Carla)! 👍
Cheers mark!

NICE! I'm digging this getting out of the shop type of video. Hopefully more will come down the road like this one. Very cool, and insightful. Thanks!
Cheers!
Thanks for the tour. I love Dainite soles, durable, shock absorbing and non-slip.

Awesome video, love Dainite soles, more practical than leather on the wet slippery streets of London.
Loved this change, always good to mix things up. Glad that you managed to rescue Ron!

Absolutely, it’s a little damp this time of year and the Dainite soles are pretty comfy in themselves too!

I loved this factory tour, I actually learnt a lot of new things by this!
It makes me nervous every time I see you guys driving on the wrong side of the road. 😂 And yes she does have a stunning smile. 😍

Childish giggling at “we are officially making our soles”! Sorry 😜
Another interesting video 👍. Great to see British manufacturing.
Great tour Dan 👍
Love this guy!
I have a pair of Loake Gatcombe boots with the studded soles. They're 12 years old and show no sign of wearing out! Good video Dan, nice car BTW.
Good one
I love this idea of tour videos! Perhaps the next tour could be the camera lady's home
A nice variation to the usual videos, interesting to see how Dainite are made ☺
‘Camera lady’?
Ok then ….
Really cool video btw, was interesting.
👍
Like a mini version of Inside the Factory, nice! And sorry, but I keep thinking of A World's End whenever Tim says 'blanks'. 😁 (One of my favorite movies, btw)

Yes❤
You have your Check Engine light on in the Challenger. 😄
That’s for aesthetics
Nice car mate. I think back in 1988 when I finished school
I probably should have become a cobbler……

Great video Dan, really cool to see how they’re made. I think some wireless mics would have made this so much better though for future ❤

Surprised at all the hand work!
Great vid and love the proper American muscle car.
Why hammer before you hydraulic press mate. Love your channels. Great pond.x
Greggs has great Fairtrade coffee and supports an independent English company.
Brine camera girl back - shes adorable!
Great video!
very interesting
Спасибо за вашу работу
Thought you might have them talk about the history of their famous sole. How that design came about.
AWESOME !!!!!!
Great video. Always interesting to see how things are made. Is the raw material they start with a product of recycling?
Do you ever Burnish or Patina shoes. Would love to see that process.
Very interesting video
❤❤❤❤❤ BRILLIANT 👏
فيديو رائع ياصديقي الموهبة ليست للجميع
Thanks for the tour! Doesn't make sense that you 2 were the only ones wearing Hi Vis
Identifies them as visitors, therefore a target for a jolly jape.
Good one 👍🏾
Hahaha! Ex-girlfriends, sorry I spat out my coffee when you said that. :D
Brit driving American muscle car while drinking the worst American coffee. I'm not sure what to think 😂😂. We love, though, Dan!
