One of the things I like about Dan is that even though, based on this video, I have no common interests whatsoever (apart from the obvious), he seems like such a nice guy that we would probably get on well anyway

I enjoy his cobbler channel. I had no idea that was still a thing. Dan, you have great skills and talents. Try and be less self absorbed. The world doesn’t need another big ego, but it does need articulate people who speak on behalf of those who have no voice. Make a difference, not just another statement about yourself.

Just fell in your channel for no reason and watching your work brought me sweet memories of my grandfather who was a cobbler himself. It's weird to realize I've been seeing you and your dad for years without ever knowing it. I'm in the US but I remember your robot and your dad's cars. The flat car I remember seeing a very long time ago. Small world I guess.

I grew up in Guatemala were the Mayan Civilization lived and I saw those temples many times . You will not regret it specially the sunsets on top of the Tikal Temple. May I add, If you get a chance I recommend hiking the Acatenango volcano it's something especial. Greetings from Texas.

I must say you sure make shoe repair interesting , I never would have thought a trade craft like a shoe cobbler would be appealing you younger people. I've been to Mayan ruins (Copan) in Honduras years ago - highly recommend. Honduras is a bit more fractured now than when I went but nonetheless a beautiful country full of amazing people. I had worked in a small village right outside of La Esperanza.
