There’s an Iranian doctor that has many books on importance of hydration. One is “You’re not sick, You’re thirsty”
I really appreciate his books. They changed my life!
Can you remember his name?
I read his book years ago and cant remember his name 🤦♀️
Thank you for the information !
I will definitely buy it.

Water: For Health, for Healing, for Life: You're Not Sick, You're Thirsty! Paperback - June 1, 2003
by F. Batmanghelidj MD
Amazon says his name is F. Batmanghelidj 😌 Thanks for this recommendation.
I love Dr Brooke Goldner! She's my favorite plant based Doctor. Her husband Thomas is great too! She's right about the fact that if you have a smoothie & dressing you love, you can heal anything! Dr G's Avocado Cesar Dressing is my all-time favorite dressing!
I just got this and both of her books goodbye, lupus, and goodbye autoimmune disease. Very good use of my money they’re excellent books. This movies are great but the recipes in this book. I can hardly wait to get to using them. Thank you AJ for having her on all the time. I left out I have her new recipe book “Good Bye Lupus, Hello “ and the recipes are so simple and not a lot of ingredients like some of the plant-based recipe books have.
Dr Goldner is a favorite speaker of mine. Thanks for having her on your program again!
Who wouldn't love Brooke (and of course AJ) ? But I disagree with 30 plants a week being complicated. I find it super easy and satisfying. I don't have to count; it comes naturally on my plant based diet. I can understand if someone's doing the Rapid Recovery program because that's a strict elimination diet, but if you're just adding "hyper nourishment" smoothies, that just adds even more variety. Easy peasy.
A great week is having Dr. G’s Q&A Wednesday AND as a guest on Chef AJ’s! 🎉🎉🎉
beautiful scarf Chef AJ!!!
😊i was just thinking last night, if increasing my water, if my start of brain shrinkage would change.
I mean, i put veggies that are wilting in water. They are alive, even if cut off a plant. I rehydrate them. Then use them.
So it made me ponder... can I rehydrate my brain!
No Dr. here not everything the say is unchanged they come back later & say we were wrong. Of course if you stay hydrated it's going to make a difference.
I am confused and need clarity. Dr. McDougall says the fat you eat is the fat you wear - but this dr. is curing diabetes with avocados and flax oil? If both doctors are successful doing opposite fat regimes - how do I know which way to go??
They are saying the same thing. They are eating food. Eating oil is bad but eating an avocado is good eating avocado oil not so good. eating vegetables are good eating veg oil is bad. Eat it the way God made it. I like using flex seed oil but I realize there is a point at which I'll cross the line & it won't be good. Food is medicine.
I love Dr Goldner! Thank You for having her on your show. I also love your beautiful scarf and turtleneck look! Best look ever for you!!!
Sounds like a decent, cheap and doable approach
Four days into this gteen smoothie lusciousness! Simple is important! It is sustainable and available! Thank you so much!❤
Enjoy!
PS: I recommend you to everyone I know that has Lupus, colitis and more! Including your Smoothie recipe
That's funny! It's disease reversal.@@v.a.n.e.

Love your guest. So happy to learn even more about water and dehydration - things I didn’t know and didn’t know I didn’t know 😆. Thank you
This was wonderful ❤
Thank you Dr. Goldner and Chef AJ. You’ve inspired me to start using my water jug again!
I’ve been hypernourishing since August 2023. I love it and I’m working on reversing RA.
I wasn’t able to go all raw so I combine Dr. McDougall’s Starch solution with Dr. Goldner’s hyper nourishment.
It’s going well 😊
Watched 2 days late but thoroughly enjoyed this!

Good afternoon, Chef AJ and Dr G!…Dr G, I’m assuming you’ve been asked so very many times before, but, at the risk of being/sounding redundant, what would you recommend, regarding water intake and Congestive Heart Failure? Thank you, kindly, in advance.
She would require a personal consul with you to provide that specific information.
@gaylawebster It’s important to ask your doctor due to the medicines you may be taking and your personal situation.
Smart thinking! Thank you both, so very much! I promise, I really wasn’t trying to get “free medical advice.” I apparently, got caught up in the moment, and don’t know nearly enough about legalities.
@@gaylawebster-chewning3233 you’re question is a common one. I’ve just seen that asked plenty of times on her Facebook group and know her response. She repeatedly says she needs to work closely with kidney and heart failure patients to adjust their fluid intakes. Good luck!!
Hi. I think it's not an issue of legality. There's varying degrees of heart failure and some patients must not exceed their personal tolerance. As your heart becomes stronger the more water you can have. @gaylawebster-chewning3233
❤❤❤
I'm always dehydrated. I drink nothing but water all day and still I'm dehydrated. 😢
Try what Dr. Nepute says. Add a pinch of Pink Himalayan Salt which has 80+ trace essential minerals in it. These minerals help your body absorb the water. Worked for me.
Add fruits and fresh greens. Eat low salt 🧂🧂🧂
Pink Himalayan Salt is not sodium like table salt.
I am wfpb but still dehydrated. My skin is very saggy and I've only lost 20lbs which I only need to lose 5-10lbs more. My skin looks horrible. Thank you for your response.😊😊 I'm 68.@@beanburrito8903
@@kathyrhyne1772 does that mean we as WFPB can use Himalayan salt?
:)
Fatigue could be caused by oxalates in the plants you eat.
Oxalates have been shown to trigger inflammation, cause membrane and mitochondrial damage, and contribute to fatigue through several mechanisms. Here's an explanation of these processes, along with relevant sources:
1. Inflammation: Oxalates can stimulate the immune system and trigger inflammatory responses in various tissues. A study by Veena et al. (2014) demonstrated that exposure to oxalate crystals induced the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, such as IL-1β and TNF-α, in human monocytes [1]. These cytokines can promote inflammation and contribute to tissue damage. Additionally, a study by Jonassen et al. (2005) showed that oxalate crystals activated the NLRP3 inflammasome, a protein complex involved in the innate immune response, leading to increased IL-1β secretion and inflammation [2].
2. Membrane damage: Oxalates can cause damage to cell membranes by interacting with membrane lipids and proteins. A study by Cao et al. (2004) found that exposure to oxalate induced membrane lipid peroxidation in renal epithelial cells, leading to increased membrane permeability and cell injury [3]. Another study by Thamilselvan et al. (2003) demonstrated that oxalate crystals could bind to membrane phospholipids and proteins, causing membrane damage and cell death [4].
3. Mitochondrial dysfunction: Oxalates have been shown to impair mitochondrial function, which can lead to reduced energy production and increased oxidative stress. A study by Meimaridou et al. (2012) found that exposure to oxalate decreased mitochondrial membrane potential and ATP production in renal epithelial cells [5]. This mitochondrial dysfunction was accompanied by increased reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation and oxidative damage. Similarly, a study by Khand et al. (2002) demonstrated that oxalate induced mitochondrial dysfunction and ROS production in renal epithelial cells, contributing to cellular injury [6].
4. Fatigue: The inflammation, membrane damage, and mitochondrial dysfunction caused by oxalates can contribute to fatigue and reduced energy levels. A study by Hokama et al. (2005) found that patients with chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) had significantly higher levels of urinary oxalates compared to healthy controls [7]. The authors suggested that oxalate-induced oxidative stress and mitochondrial dysfunction might play a role in the pathogenesis of CFS. Another study by Myhill et al. (2009) proposed that mitochondrial dysfunction and impaired energy production could be a key factor in the development of fatigue in patients with CFS [8].
It is important to note that while these studies provide evidence for the potential role of oxalates in triggering inflammation, causing membrane and mitochondrial damage, and contributing to fatigue, more research is needed to fully understand the complex interactions between oxalates and these physiological processes. Additionally, individual responses to oxalates may vary depending on factors such as genetic predisposition, overall health status, and dietary habits [9].
