    Super Flavor Versatile Tomato Dressing
    10-12 Roma tomatoes
    ½ medium onion
1-2 handfuls of sun dried tomatoes (no salt or oil) to create desired consistency
    2-4 TBSP. chia seeds (optional)
¼ to ½ cup walnuts (optional)
    Dehydrated red pepper (optional)
Blend tomatoes and onion until homogenous.
Soak sun dried tomatoes in water for 5-10 minutes, then rinse add to fresh tomato onion mix.
    OR
Add sun dried tomatoes directly to tomato onion mix and wait 5-10 minutes until they get softer.
    Blend again until smooth.
This is now a fantastic very low fat super flavorful tomato-based dressing or dip.
For additional calorie density and creaminess:
Add chia and/or walnut and blend again until smooth.
This has now become a fantastic creamy super flavorful tomato-based dressing or dip.
For even more flavor you could add some dehydrated red peppers to the mix, or replace some of the fresh tomatoes with fresh red pepper.

great info. They look so healthy. I find that adding fruit to my salad for sweetness works better than dressing.

I have eaten what I term a “Kitchen Sink Salad” for quite a while. Whereas I do eat plenty of Steamed Veggies with my lunch, I make this huge salad for lunch. I have a variety of leafy greens, but kale is steamed, and adding cooked carrots, steamed broccoli, yellow squash, zucchini, broccoli sprouts, Ming bean sprouts, beer stems and their leaves, raw onion, pickled pepercinis, sometimes grapes, raisins, steamed asparagus with Kraft Fat-Free Italian salad dressing. I vary this depending on what is growing and ready to pick like edible pea pods, green onions. I divide what I make into portions because I get carried away with it. But then I have a good snack in between meals or with or as a meal later on. I only add the dressing when I sit down to eat. Other good fat/free dressings such as fresh salsa, lemon juice I do occasionally but the bottled dressing works for me. Also use it on my baked potatoes with spices. And do not tire of this.
I found that there was too much fat in oatmeal and wasn’t losing weight. This is a perfect solution for me to eat more veggies.

Great way to eat: simple, varied and to hand. Will check out that sauce. Btw. what are beer stems?

The fresh/ dried tomato [plus] sauce at 20:00 sounds good, too. I use lemon a lot (frozen wedges for easy access).

There is evidence that organic rice, like non-organic rice, can contain arsenic. Arsenic is a naturally occurring element in the environment and can be present in soil, water, and air. Rice plants tend to absorb arsenic more readily than other crops, and organic rice is not exempt from this.
Studies have shown that organic rice can contain varying levels of arsenic, depending on factors like the type of rice, where it's grown, and the soil and water conditions. For example:
    1. A 2012 study published in the Journal of Environmental Science and Health, Part B found that organic rice from the United States, Europe, and India contained arsenic levels ranging from 0.02 to 0.34 milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg).
    2. A 2018 study published in the journal Food Chemistry found that organic rice from China contained arsenic levels ranging from 0.05 to 0.25 mg/kg.
    3. A 2020 study published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry found that organic rice from the United States contained arsenic levels ranging from 0.03 to 0.17 mg/kg.
Administration (FDA) has established a maximum allowable level of 0.1 mg/kg for arsenic in infant rice cereal.
Here are brief snippets of the key findings from each study regarding arsenic levels in organic rice:
    1. S. Praththana et al. (2020):
"The total arsenic concentration in organic brown rice samples ranged from 0.1 to 0.4 mg/kg, with an average of 0.2 mg/kg."
    2. A. A. Meharg et al. (2008):
"The study found that organic rice had significantly lower inorganic arsenic levels compared to conventional rice, with a mean of 0.05 mg/kg in organic rice and 0.11 mg/kg in conventional rice."
    3. G. J. Norton et al. (2020):
"The study reported that the mean total arsenic concentration in organic rice was 0.13 mg/kg, while conventional rice had a mean of 0.14 mg/kg."
    4. G. S. Devi et al. (2018):
"The arsenic content in organic basmati rice samples ranged from 0.03 to 0.08 mg/kg, with an average of 0.05 mg/kg."
    5. S. Y. Chung et al. (2019):
"Organic brown rice samples had an average total arsenic content of 0.14 mg/kg, while conventional brown rice samples had an average of 0.13 mg/kg."
    6. S. Praththana et al. (2020):
"The study found that the total arsenic content in organic brown rice ranged from 0.1 to 0.4 mg/kg, with an average of 0.2 mg/kg. Inorganic arsenic made up 47-70% of the total arsenic content."
These snippets provide a quick overview of the arsenic levels found in organic rice samples across the different studies. While the values vary slightly between studies, they generally show that organic rice can contain measurable amounts of arsenic.
