- Sears Kenmore HE5T Front Load Washer Leaky Water Valve 8182862 KitehenAid Whirlpool Amana Maytag. Shows Disassembly and Replacement of Water Valve.
A very well made video on the valve replacement. Back in the seventies, my mother's Kenmore top loading washer quit spinning the tub. I found the ZINC belt pulley had spun on the gearbox shaft, ruining the shaft and pulley. We had a local appliance parts store, and he sold me a kit he has made, with a new shaft, STEEL pulley, and gasket. He said all those period Kenmore washing machines were cheaper made than the actual Whirlpool models, and sold these kits on a daily basis. They are probably all the same these days. Your washer looks really nice.
You are a master technician and problem Solver! Your explanations are detailed and well thought out. I love your video. Thanks for posting this. I suspect I am having the same issue and your video will help me diagnose my problem a lot more easily..
This is a wonderful video. This is the same problem I'm having and you explained this very, very well. This is probably the best demonstration video I've watched. Thanks so much!
My 2007 Kenmore Elite HE5T started leaking. Thank you for this incredibly detailed video.
Although, I have a similar model washer (Whirlpool DUET/HT), you have provided thorough enough information for me to check and replace my water inlet valve confidently. Thank YOU!!!
Fantastic video. The best one on youtube for this issue.
WOW! That is super helpful. Thank you so much for the information. My washer is an older version, but I think the problem is the same, and I suspect the repair will be the same. Thanks! btw, your camera / video is super! Very clear.
Excellent video with detailed explanation !!! Thanks.
Great informative video. Right to the point. Exact same switch on Maytag 4000 series
Fred In California. ,Man you nailed it. Great video thank s for the help.
Thanks for the vid. Loved the Polar Express movie playing in the back round too. LOL
Very nice details video blessings
Great job, I most likely i am having the same problem. Do you have a suggestion on where to get the new valve? I have the exact model. Thank you.
So the old solenoids were ok ? they read almost the same value of 788 ohms?
Do you think soaking the old valve in CLR or something like that would have made a difference? How much was the replacement? Thanks for the video...
I just run distilled white vinegar trough the valve and
have no more leaks.
how did you do it?
thank you!!!!
Wow Thank you for saving me 700$
