5 Star Video! Starts with symptom, tells why problem is occurring.THEN clearly shows how to fix, including tools required and bit size. No need to get every Torx bit you have, just the T20. No telling you what you already know and skipping over the "gotchas". Way to go!

This is a great video. You need to check the inlet valve is not leaking and causing the tub to fill with water when the power is off and just sitting idle. The defective valve will leak at the door outlet valve and will be a slow steady drip. This causes the tub to fill. You can open the door and see the outlet valve on the left side half way up if it remains dry with no drips with power off.......then your inlet valve is good. If it is dripping.......the inlet is defective. :)

Will a faulty water inlet valve on this Duet Washer cause a FH code? I have noticed at times the drum has water in it. When it has not been used for a day or so.

Thank you, you saved me lots of money by putting this on You Tube. I'm on social security and repair bills such as this just would take months to save for. Yay! What an easy fix! Now, if I could figure out how to fix the unbalanced tub without taking the whole damn thing apart would be awesome because I'd never get it back together. I can't afford an new spider anyway. It'll have to keep going until it no longer can. Thanks!

This worked for me on a 3HE kenmore. Took 20 min. now no more water in the drum. My part cost $35 (the cheaper one got lost in the mail), but its worth it since Sears home repair would have charged me hundreds. Surprising that the screens built into the inlet valve only had a small amount of rust/sediment in over 14 yrs of service. Thanks!

Thank you SO MUCH! You saved me a lot of money by me doing this my self and I also felt very accomplished. The total cost to fix wash less than $16 vs I'm guessing at least hundreds of dollars.
