Gmc sure as hell has some nice rims, I mean look it up, when I actually noticed just how nice they look I thought they were taken from a luxury car or custom rims, but that's how they are stock, and if you keep everything polished and clean they shine like the sun.
This truck transformation felt like cleaning out my own life after eight years of procrastination. If this truck can survive that much dirt and filth without a single cleaning, then there's hope for all of us. Great job Mitch!
I hope the owner of the truck doesn't wait eight years for detailing his vehicle in the future. You did an awesome job of cleaning and removing so much grime!!
I have wondered if carpeted wheel wells promoted rust (which they then hide). Thanks for mentioning that possibility. After two weeks of problems (bank, truck, house, family health) these videos are a familiar, calming influence. Keep 'em coming.
@@chel.sea_3326 Thank you. Things are much better now. I didn'tknow "Have you tried turning it off and back on again" can apply to a human heart (seriously, and it was a child!)
HI 👋 Been a bit since I've consistently followed your page. You have changed in appearance so much over the years. Maturing and growing into a grown man. Im a lot older than you and I see the same in my kids. Its so fun to see! God bless you 🙏
Let’s see… 8 years, never cleaned and now you’re given a deadline of end of day to get it looking new… only you can do it Mitch! Total faith that it will shine when the owner picks it up!👍🏻
I made Hubby buy that undercarriage washer a couple of yrs ago and living in Florida it's gets SANDY and muddy. HUGE DIFFERENCE MAKER!!! Tks for that tip! Another GREAT job!!!
I promised myself I would comment on it the day this would happen and today is that day: you didn't say "gross" when emptying the bucket! Loved the video and really like your channel 🙌
This is exact same spec as my truck. Mitch, Im curious if you noticed to pull the cup holder out in the front. Because theres more storage underneath it!
Im washing our cars every week. So they are just a little bit dirty (a lot of people say they are clean you don't need to wash them) when i wash them. But it makes more fun if the cars are actually really dirty. To see the progress is so cool.
As I am watching this weeks detail, I was thinking, if the customer wants the truck back quicker than your normal amount of time needed, Mike should have gotten off the couch and help out. His Tim Bits would be there when you both were done. :)
Nice job , I use to detail cars and trucks 20 years ago and there wasn't alot of the detailing tools they have today and it was way harder to get the results needed ,either way its a real physically demanding job, keep up the outstanding job you do !
@@joelbuchanan471 Hiii Joel, I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Glad, You never miss it here. 👍 I struggle and annoying with the heat wave. Agreed with you. 😊
Mitch you do amazing work!! I’ve been watching your videos for months now and you’ve inspired me to become a detailer myself. Any advice for a new detailer?
Watch the latest video every Saturday morning to start my weekend off with inspiration. Question about the steam cleaning. I know you recommend the McCulloch 1375, but wonder if you have ever tried the 1385 version or have opinion of the same? I tend to like the lower floor space requirement and hose exit at top (less trip hazard) but reviews seem to indicate the additional reservoir capacity decreases steam pressure and flow. Hoping you had an opinion before I purchased either.
Awesome job Mitch! This truck cleaned up very well - thanks to you 👍 I was guessing that the owner ran a stucco business (before you mentioned he's a drywaller.
Good on you for wearing a safety mask when working on a disaster interior. Definitely don’t want any of that gunk in your lungs. Amazed you were able to do so much with less time available from the customer.
I live in Minnesota and am trying to take better care of my truck, 2018 Silverado. Im not sure of the difference between your Paint Sealant and Graphene Spray Coating. What would you go with if you could only have one? I plan on purchasing your Paint Correcting and Wash bundles as well as a foam cannon and undercarriage sprayer. I already have a stock of microfiber towels and access to a pressure washer (thanks dad). Any other recommendations would be appreciated as I would rather wash my vehicle myself then ask for a car wash subscription for my birthday.
Help I have a problem! I wore a fancy dress that had tiny glitter on part of it. Now my black leather driver seat has tiny glitter on it that won’t wipe off. How do I get it off? Do you think that steamer you use would help? I really am at a loss…
Scrub it again good with a all purpose cleaner and tire brush, once dried need to apply conditioner for fading and staining like aerospace 303 easiest to spray it with the mat vertical and let it drip dry soak into it
With some of the vehicles when you take the seats out how do you deal with the lights that remain on the dashboard if there is any cautionary lights... Do you disconnect the battery when you do that and how do you deal with the stereos that have been preset with the owners preset stations.... This is a question I am proposing because when I cleaned out my car I disconnected the battery so I can safely take the seats out without the airbags going off.. but it erase the memory of my preset radio stations
Love the videos but I’ve got a question. I detailed a Maserati Grand Tourismo and the plastic buttons had some thick sticky stuff on them. Owner said they were notorious for doing that. Any tips and tricks to remove the sticky stuff? Thanks in advance!
You can use goo gone with an abrasive pad like magic eraser, or use WD40 which acts the same as goo gone. But try to not get the fluid into the electrical component
@@bsballer11 lots of people want to be clever and use existing products like dish soap, alcohol, vinegar etc. possibly also to save money etc. but those are things that exist for a particular reason. Dish soap is for dishes, alcohol is for killing germs, and vinegar is for cooking. The truth is, there are a wide variety products that have been created that have existed for a long time already solely for the purpose of cleaning and their formulation is geared towards cleaning a certain thing 100%. We just have to research and find which products are the best and most effective. Consumer reports is a good magazine for that. Most good cleaning products are not too expensive and are priced in a way to make it affordable for any person to buy, hope this viewpoint helps.
It's funny you said to move the seat to its highest position to clean under it easier, because despite my usual oversight's, I had actually figured that out SuperVinlin Definitely helpful to do :p
CHICAGO, IL - Hi Mitch, terrific job as always. You didn’t remove the front seats but worked around it. I bought a new Fiesta in 2016 and have smoked in the car until 2 months ago when I stopped smoking. A detailer told me he doesn’t remove the front seats. Is that a problem because I want to remove the smoke smell as much as possible? Or should I find one that removes the front seats?
thank goodness you don't have the Bissel extractor, because it would have taken you a lot longer to do the carpet. That new one gets the job done quick
Could you develop a Nasty Meter that indicates your perception of a car's cleanliness levels between the scale of 1 - 10? Would love to see how you feel about a dirty car in your next video.
From the amount of dirt and knives, I guess either a construction worker (any position, from cement mixer to management really) or an industrial engineer
Say what you want about GM vehicles, but they sure do clean up nice!

A soft bristle brush such as a short handle wheel brush works well for applying tire dressing on larger, knobby tires.

From what you pulled from the glove boxes, i.e. gloves and beanie, my guess would be that this owner is a welder of some sort. ❤❤
All things considered, the carpet was pretty clean for not being cleaned for 8 yrs. Great job it came up well.
8 years 😳😳😳 nice work ❤❤
So after using the iron remover just rinse? No need to coat the paint before ceramic coating?
Be honest, how many times did you hit your leg on the trailer hitch?
That’s a good looking truck.
That truck was such a mess you did a great job for the time restriction you had.
Week 6 of asking: what kind of tire shine do you use? 😭😭😭
I assume he uses his own, there's a tire and wheel cleaner listed on his site
Last I knew he was using 303 aerospace protectant. It's listed in the items he uses. He uses it for tires, bed covers and dashes
It had been CarPro Perl in his earlier videos.
He uses he brand of tire shine. Look in the menu for the list of what he uses.
I checked he doesn't have his own
