I love your videos last car that you show. Please clean it. I like it. I have been watching your video since 2022. I like it. I have subscribed to your channel.
the same barndust like at all the other rare vehicles.. ;-) and 2 Million clickapes cant be wrong, or not🤔... Oh, my mistake.. only 1 Million in 2 months🤪
All those engines had good and bad years, the best Powerstroke was the 7.3 and the best D-max was an LBZ and the Cummins rocked until the 6.7 got choked-up with the emission's BS. Great vids, so satisfying to watch!
There is no such thing as a good GM diesel engine. If it's not a Dodge or Ford diesel truck. You're just wasting time and money. With a Cummings and Power Stroke. You're just breaking in the motor at 200k. If you can get a GM diesel engine to 200k. It's because God willed it.
I think you guys should detail that really cool old red dump truck with the silver grill, it looks like a uniquely really fun and different type of vehicle to do !
why is my junkyard full of them? most of them have les then 150,000 with bent rods...i just think your a fanboy and dont want to admit it lmao.. bring a trailer you can have all of the ones i have lmao@@Larstappen
I'm sure they can be good. But I've never had luck with them. It seems after 300,000km they always seem to shit the bed. That's just been my experience. So I bought a 4.8 instead. It's got 370,000km. I've driven it 150 000 myself and I definitely don't baby it. And by that I mean I've been rough af on it. Never let me down yet.
For me, the Cummins diesel is the best. If the owner wants to part with the truck I’ll buy it in a heartbeat. I had one almost the exact same, but was stolen a couple months ago in Denver. I’d buy it 100%
I’ve owned a Cummins and a duramax and I would 100% recommend the duramax, just because of how simple the whole engine layout is, parts are easy to find, maintenance is easy and cheap, just much better than the Cummins in my opinion
I love the way you guys wash and restore cars I've been watching you guys for a long time and never said anything but till now I love watching you guys clean cars is very satisfying
I have a SRW extended cab (supercab) 2002 F350 7.3L PowerStroke 6 speed manual 4x4, manual transfer case, manual locking hubs, with a flatbed. I would put it up against the stats of any truck. The history and legacy of this thing speaks for itself. There are still thousands of these 7.3L powerstrokes on the road today and building this country; in all shapes and sizes, ambulances, fire trucks, box trucks, bucket trucks, tow trucks, etc. They are still everywhere, because they just keep going.
That outside looked like the Rally Car you washed area! Transmission problem shouldn’t prevent from starting the truck. Might be a bigger problem. Always enjoy watching your videos! Thanks Brothers! Have a great weekend! Eddie
I have the 2005 2500HD 6.0 in Minnesota, had 29k on her now sitting at 286k never did anything to it cept gobble up transfer cases, almost zero rust on it , every year twice a year took a pump up sprayer with diesel fuel and used synthetic oil and sprayed everything notorious for rust got hit hard with it and still to this day looks rust free cept two spots on each side of truck in rockers damn nice made nests and rusted easy fix , I even greased under the rubber floor no carpet, absolutely flawless and drives like it did when I bought it , 16 mpg all day long, haven't changed the plugs either, why fix what isn't broke I always say , toughest truck ever, always a skidloader, form trailer, boat, snowmobile trailer behind it no problem with tranny or engine ... Chevy rule!!
They're all good trucks, it just comes down to preference. And they all have they're own issues, the diesel podcast is a great source for info. Whatever truck you do want, just do good research into the truck about its pros and cons and go from there.
Duramax, hands down. I drive a 2017 L5P at work thats tuned and deleted and it never fails to impress. Overweight loads no problem. Rolls coal and trucks on
I just knew this one was gonna be a gas truck lol. I’m a Chevy guy all the way and love a Duramax but I think the Cummins is the best engine. They can all be reliable and fast af when built right
I have a truck like that just I got in to a wreck so we have a flatbed on it man we had that truck for 10 years the year is a 2004 and they were made in 2003
I have an ‘05 Yukon with a 5.3 Vortec LS. Third owner, bought it in Alaska in 2017, and now has 221,000 miles. So far with regular maintenance, It. Will. Not. Die. Do what you will with this information.
Originally I would have said Cummins until they were caught in the latest emissions scandal. Now, my vote is for Duramax for diesel. For a gasser, Chevy LS is the engine of choice for so many builders.
When comes to older trucks especially the 70s and 80s I think there all pretty cool. If I were going to buy a new one I'm leaning towards Ram. But my favorites are 67 to 75 Fords !
Asking what truck is the best is looking for a war in the comment section. I think they all have pros & cons, personally I probably will never purchase another GM product after my last experience. It literally couldn't go longer than a few weeks without some new electrical problems. Some were just stupid little problems like blinker turns on high beams but others like hitting the brakes not deactivating cruise control was just dangerous. I actually purchased another diesel last month and looked at many Fords and many Rams, really came down to the best deal. I will say I test drove a new high output 6.7 Ford that had been already traded in with only 4k miles and when returning to the dealership during the test drive the truck got a check engine light and put itself into limp mode. Probably why someone traded it with only 4k miles. But when it was running properly I will admit it was a beast, very powerful, the engine brake was still shit though. I ended up with a Ram with 20k miles on it and so far I love it. 18-22 mi per gallon depending on if it regens or not and it will only get better when some parts fall off of it soon.
those wheels and tires are longggg discontinued, cool to see them still around. Also, as a mechanic, that truck you just washed is probably one of the most reliable platforms you can buy. It's not the fastest, but a 6.0 gas 01-07 2500hd are just reliable. with many reaching 250k plus.
6.0 is a gas hog, 6.6 duramax I bought new in ‘06 ran perfect for 11 years with 344k and still alive today with over 500k and never broke open. Really enjoy your vids, great work.
I had the baby version (Reg cab 4.3 V6) of that truck. Same year and color Silver Burch Metallic. Got it brand new after I got back from my first Iraq deployment. Kinda miss it but Very Happy with my 07 5.3 Ava Z71. I think I love her. 🥰
Can't speak on diesels but ive had 2002 silverado 1500 5.3 for almost 10 years and the only major repair ive had to do is change the transmission but it was from bad maintenance on my part. Other than that i just hit 220,500 miles yesterday actually and its still going strong!
Those 6.0 2500hd trucks are great, but I'm more of a gas engine fan for a work truck. The f250 or 350 with the v10 is a beast, too. I've heard bad things about them, but I drove one for years at work, and it would pull anything and was really dependable
The very first thing that caught my eye was the torsion bar drop, negating most of that lift... IF you want to really lift a torsion bar truck, the first thing you need to do is eliminate the torsion bar suspension, you can keep the independent front suspension, just kick those torsion bars to the curb... BDS makes a GREAT coil over suspension kit for that truck, it may not be a 13" lift, but it is a 10" lift and much cleaner look as well as a full lift, not leaving torsion bars hanging down cutting fame to ground clearance in half... The Duramax has been the enduring mark on the diesel pickup truck industry... While there have been many iterations over the yrs, from the venerable LB7 to the most modern L5P, the base has always remained the same, that cannot be said of the cummins or the powerstroke... Last but not least, I have a 2002 GMC 2500HD w/LB7 6.6l Duramax, BDS lifted 4.5 REAL inches, w/new 5" leafsprings, NO blocks, running 35x12.50x18 Yokohama G003's and certainly NOT stock under the hood, or in the drivetrain... Parked in the garage is a 2020 GMC 3500HD AT4 with an L5P that I use for towing... The newest is a 2024 Silverado 1500 Trail Boss LT with the 2nd gen 3.0l LZ0 "baby" Duramax, which BTW is a phenomenal engine, rated @305HP and 495ft/lbs, it's an absolute beast...
I have had a 7.3, two 6.0 and I currently have a 2015 6.7 4x4 Lariat with a little over 400k miles on it. I deleted and tuned it in 2020 and the only thing I have had to fix on it was the power-steering pump after I buried it in mud and broke it. I had two Cummins prior to the '99 7.3 and could not keep a transmission in either of them.
The answer to your question in the video is simple. Best engine in a truck is one that works and gets you from point A to point B. If you take good care of it, it will take care of you. They all have their pros and cons, but I am partial to Mopar myself. ♈️RAM
Definitely the Cummins if it’s a diesel. They are honestly the best, even tho I am a ford fan. They are just superior. But for gas, the LS does good and I love the old ford 302s. Most old V8s do well.
rubber mats are a must have if you don't want to cake your floormat in mud and grime plus it keeps the floormat from getting wet, thus preventing a future rust hole underneath your feet
Good work guys, i didn't like the party that undercarriage wasn't looked after so well... When I wash my lifted Ford ; i make sure the undercarriage is spotless and dressed up so well and every bite to it! (The diff, axles, springs and struts, the lift cross member and traction bars and etc) , good work anyhow!
Best truck, I think, would be an old Ford OBS with the 7.3L Powerstroke turbo. The best dream truck would be a Ford F250 Platinum with a Cummins turbo Diesel and Allison transmission. Honorable mention would be a Chevy OBS truck with a LS or LT swap.
What do you think is the best type of truck? 👀

A duramax is the best truck their reliable, cool, and pretty fast and this is from someone that has owned a duramax for years
Had a 2004 Chevy Avalanche, lasted 14 years, 259,000 miles. Gas, oil, tires, and 2 batteries. Never let me down.
Best fencing for a truck in my opinion is the duramax, 5.3 Ls3, 6.0 LS3
Oh, those gray midwestern skies....so many memories. It's like the sun goes on vacation in October and heads back in April.
As a Finn i can definitely also relate :)
lol. You’re right but the ground hog didn’t see his shadow so an early spring. If you believe that, I have prime property in the Everglades 😂
Sounds like the Netherlands to be honest. ;)
Lmfao go pack go!!!!
We now live in a time where a 05 Silverado is a barn find 😂
I'm old, great video BTW

This truck SCREAMS 2010 . The wheels the door handles brush guard . Nothing says Midwest bar hopper like this gem
maybe an 06 2500
@@Alex_Eggershe means the truck was probably modded in 2010 ish based on the style. the truck is a late 05, 06 or 07 classic
Indeed... That's what early/mid 2000s looked like.... My 07 F150 is almost looks like it.... Interesting how time flys and people change....
More like trailer princess...

Great work here, guys. You’re spot on about the rubber mats. They’re easy to clean, and they help keep everything cleaner in the first place.
All those engines had good and bad years, the best Powerstroke was the 7.3 and the best D-max was an LBZ and the Cummins rocked until the 6.7 got choked-up with the emission's BS. Great vids, so satisfying to watch!
I'll disagree on the LBZ part
Sure, pal, the 6.7 powerstroke is a bad ass engine 2016 buddy.
@crisc6289 you don't get to cherrypick years lil guy and early 6.7s loved eating turbos and they come with CP4s
I have no idea what you guys are on about
There is no such thing as a good GM diesel engine. If it's not a Dodge or Ford diesel truck. You're just wasting time and money. With a Cummings and Power Stroke. You're just breaking in the motor at 200k. If you can get a GM diesel engine to 200k. It's because God willed it.

Most in-depth, comprehensive and thorough interpretation of "polishing a turd" I've ever seen. Terrific job, as always!

A very satisfying watch, love these old monster trucks

I think you guys should detail that really cool old red dump truck with the silver grill, it looks like a uniquely really fun and different type of vehicle to do !
Also those old 5.3 vortecs and 6.0 vortecs were incredible
Especially with a good tune. 75 more hp is totally possible.

excellant wash after long time brothers.❤from rana ashfaq ahmad city sargodha pakistan.
That’s obviously a mud rig. NOT A BARN FIND! That’s not dust. That’s riminants of past mud bogs.
Cummins 12 valve is what I'd prefer. You should do the Subaru, then the large red truck after. And very impressive cleaner y'all have developed
