I could be off base with my observation, but just about every "newish" (or old for that matter) truck with rust I see is always a Dodge. They seem to have some pretty bad paint jobs on them. As a detailer who works on hundreds of cars, what's your experience there? What brand has the worst paint jobs?

looking forward to the next studio/shop update...I wanted to ask if you are planning to have a washer/dryer in the mechanical room for microfiber washing? Also, love your OCD when it comes to red microfiber towels on the pedals...I think all detailers have a certain level of OCD, no?

Maybe one of these days I will remember to clean my screen BEFORE I find a "you missed a spot." Someone else mentioned headliners and I, too, am curious as to how you tackle those. Also, what type of adhesive would you recommend I use to put my headliner back in its original position? The edges have let go and it's currently migrating from sun visor status to three row seat covers. I'm seriously considering taking out the seats, carpet and headliner & covering the floor and roof with rhino-liner.
Great job on the Ram. Except the fuel tank in the bed, it looks like a different truck. Do you (and how do you) clean between the bed and cab of trucks? My wash mitt will only reach about six inches down the gap and my window squeegie is too wide to get in there. Any and all advice will be greatly appreciated by me, my "Truck & Country", and my antique Chevy. Thanks!

I drove Taxi for 6 years. Back in 2016, the last Company that I worked for HAD 5 Taxis that had picked up drunk people that night(5am to 5pm and 5pm to 5am shifts). Well I got called in to help out on my day off. The condition of all 5 vans still haunts me. Puke from front to back inside and out. 14 hours of cleaning each van WITH a mask on. Never got paid for that come to think about it. Had to remove the dash assembly of each van along with the seats and carpet(car wash time). All you could smell from 20 feet away was VODKA. I smelled about 37 different alcoholic drinks and 14 different food types on the inside of all of those vans. Not impressed with City people who can't hold their alcohol.

Hey Mitch, I THINK you used to remove the clients' belongings from their vehicle before you started pressure washing the inside of the doors. And now you are pressure washing with things still in the vehicle. I always feel like they are getting wet. What's the deal? PS - I love your videos bro!

Hey boss man, I know it'd be a lot of editing, so I'm sure it'd take a while, but I'm wondering if sometime you'd do a video which specifically discusses some of the techniques you use to do your detailing, and maybe the chemicals you use.
You've got me sold on your formula which removes nasty iron spots. Works better than anything else I've mussed with.
Thanks for all the awesome videos! I really appreciate you!

Mitch, if you are over 6' tall, you should wear a back brace when lifting. I know you are young and strong and very fit, but taller folks are more prone to lower back problems than others, has to to with center of gravity being higher and making the "hinge point" in the lower back endure more weight and stress. Trust me on this, I am a tall woman who was a competitive athlete in my younger years (primarily gymnastics) and have paid the price in chronic pain since I herniated 3 discs in my lower back over 35 years ago. Protect your lower back!

Just curious, why do you keep the garage door closed when it's so unbearably hot? I'm thinking to keep the car as clean as possible. But with those temps, that cannot be good for your overall health. Sorry, I just worry about things like that, I'm a mom and can't help it. I'd say you and my son are about the same age. Take care and be safe during the heat wave. Love your videos!!

Mitch, just a thought. You always wear the Puma socks in your details as their logo is clearly visible. Because of that, you could potentially be sponsored by them (unless of course they're already sponsoring you). Awesome work as usual, I thought that exterior paint was done for.

Start using alkaline degreaser! Than you will remove all the dirt BEFORE using a wash mit. The only thing you will remove with the wash mit than is the trafic film. In Sweden we ALLWAYS use alkaline degreaser and even cold degreaser/tar and glue remove, to remove salt, asphalt, and petroleum based products.
    Alkaline degreaser remove organic products

I always loved the cheap hubcap fake bolt wheel covers on Dodge trucks. It encapsulates that ever so high quality of Chrysler vehicles. Fake high-quality.

  • @appalachian_restorations229

Dodges are great for rusting out. I would never own one. Cheap interiors and awful quality metals. Cummings motors are the only upside but much better options out there. It’s unfortunate because they look and sound absolutely amazing

Acid on mopars where I worked for years is the trick to getting the cars too look new. They have shitty paint that’s pretty porous. Also ways orange peeling, so you need to get all of the rail dust and road dust out of them or it will always look orange or dirty.
