“Don’t wash your car with dish soap” I LOL’d.. I actually use meguiars wheel brightner for my hand washes. Letting it bake in the sun also makes it shine even more!
Very well done video. Just one thing about the wheels. You may find it useful to work from the top down so dirt you wash off runs to a dirty part of the wheel rather than over the already cleaned part of the wheel.
I like to to do the wheels first then do a pre foam rinse it off then foam it again then hit it with the mitts. Rinsing right away can push the grim into the paint so I let the foam lube it up and let the soap do its job with the dirt.
Honest question, if washing the wheels first is recommended, wouldn’t a lot of the dirt and grime from the vehicle wash onto the cleaned wheels after rinsing the vehicle? I’m just trying to understand the process 🙏
Hello, Love the videos but someone recently told me I can’t detail cars unless I have a water recovery Matt in California due to the clean water act. Any advice for that?
Good stuff bro very helpful. What do you use for the heavier grime wheel and tires? I tried p&s brake buster and meguiars wheel & tire and don’t seem to work too well unless I go back over them 2 times. Adam’s wheel & tire works good but I feel like it’s too strong for weekly use on ceramic coated wheels
IF you're doing weekly washes, brake buster is more than enough to properly clean the tire and wheel. It's what I use on my daily driver and I put in about 400 miles weekly going back and forth to work. Unless your off-roading weekly lol.
@@richardcortez9850 that’s my dilemma I have off road tires. Don’t go off roading by any means but do get more dirt on them than your typical street tire. Brake buster works it’s just annoying having to repeat the process twice to get a clean tire
I don't get it - if you wash the body first, then the wheels, how will the wheel dirt get onto the paint? If you wash the wheels first, the dirt from the wheels will get onto the mitt and then you're going to use that to clean the body?
Yo bro im barley starting i wash cars only cause im barley starting im saving up for a vacuum and detail stuff you know any good but cheap products i could get
Home depot for shop vac and pressure washer , I use dewalt for my business and hasn't let me down , Hawaii detail does really good test on product and can help steer the way to your best results for the money
The main reason ppl clean the wheels first is to avoid water drying on the paint while you clean the wheels. If you have more than one person working you can easily do both at the same time especially if you use a ph neutral soap & spot-free water. The dirt from the wheels is really a non-issue. You can easily rinse the body off I’d any dirt from the wheels gets on it. 👍
I tried this today but my wheels ended up getting over spray from foaming and rinsing the car, requiring another dry step on the (gloss black) wheels so they don't get hard water spots. Pick your poison I guess.
The more I think about it, the more it makes sense to do the wheels last. It's easier to reduce over spray to the fenders when doing the wheels and it's no problem to wipe the fenders down since they're clean and protected. But you'll get a lot more over spray onto the wheels when doing the car, requiring more work. Especially if you did tire shine already, so you can't touch them without getting gunk onto your towels.
If you want to do it right it's actually a lot of work. Some people get to the point where they realize that and don't have the time, so they hand it over to the pros
Just me but I personally think you should do wheels and windows last on car, if clean them first and wash the car after everything will just fall on the wheels again
You should go over a bad cared for ceramic coating and what to do for it.
definitely do a interior detailing mistakes and a how to clay video bro I think a lot of people including myself need some tips on that
He already maked one
Best tip about using separate mitt or towel for lower section.
Really good video, thanks!
Thank you for the videos! Seems like I’ve been detailing my car incorrectly for years. How long does a full exterior wash and detail take?
And this my friends in the difference between a $200 detail vs a $35 detail
there are no 35 details lol
Only do my own car but learn so much your videos are the best! Use a WORX NITRO BLOWER to dry my car saver a lot of time.
PPE - Wearing black nitrile gloves for handling a range of chemicals and clear safety glasses for blowing out interiors with the tornador
What kind of blower is that you use friend and I love the details and as you explain I will start auto car wash soon
I been using reloade for 8 years as my wax/silica And all my clients are happy with the shine looking ❤
The many towels method is my favorite, but you still need 2 buckets. The 2nd is for dirty towels after you’ve used all the surfaces.
Got the whip clean homie 💯💯💯

Alright bro 😂
We clean car with dish soap from long times and nothing it's happened to the dody car 😂😂😂.
New to Detailing loved the video ! Keep them coming. Side Note was reading through the comments. Why did I do that ! 🤣 🤣 🤣. Some people are wild

What’s the spray called that u used for the bug guts and more dirty areas again
James is a master detail technician. He’s highly skilled.
Amazing video thank you so much for the clarity!!
What's up James, Love the content!!!
Very Nice Job and a Super Explanation!
Great job explaining things, very well done
Glad you liked it!
9:32 his face was priceless 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yes bro please do a complete interior detail video next! 🔥🫡
Great video. Can't wait for the clambering and ceramic coatings
Nice informative video. Surprised you didn’t raise the hood and trunk and give those areas a quick wipe down like the door panels.
What is the name of the product you use prior to foaming the vehicle for heady dirt and bugs?
I like to to do the wheels first then do a pre foam rinse it off then foam it again then hit it with the mitts. Rinsing right away can push the grim into the paint so I let the foam lube it up and let the soap do its job with the dirt.
How have you been holding up with the heat, James? Great job brother.👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
What did you spray on the low end of the car when addressing the heavily soiled areas after the initial pre rinse?
Honest question, if washing the wheels first is recommended, wouldn’t a lot of the dirt and grime from the vehicle wash onto the cleaned wheels after rinsing the vehicle? I’m just trying to understand the process 🙏
what would be the price for this with just vaccume and the tire cleaning no wax or clay baring or polish?
What do you think about a rinse cleaner?
What was the product you used called slickback ? I couldn’t find anything online.
You should do a video on detailing and maintaining a wrapped car!
Noted!
Hello, Love the videos but someone recently told me I can’t detail cars unless I have a water recovery Matt in California due to the clean water act. Any advice for that?
yes to have an official biz license yes
Need a clay bar and wax tutorial next
Are you able to do every step the same on this video if your car is wrapped?
Are you able to get insurance without having a business lincense or you need the lincense?

Great please keep adding all to buffer clay and ceramic or graphing
I'm still looking for evidence of dish soap doing damage. Have any links?
great video
ON POINT
Sure, I would like to see an interior version of this video.
00:55 lmao😂😂
My foam never comes out like that! It’s more of on the water side. I’m using a active pressure washer can that be the problem?
Put less water in the container
I don't get it - if you wash the body first, then the wheels, how will the wheel dirt get onto the paint? If you wash the wheels first, the dirt from the wheels will get onto the mitt and then you're going to use that to clean the body?
What spray or soap do you recommend to remove hard water spots on paint and rims ?
You going to have to be aggressive with the buffer to remove any of that
Great Info👍🇺🇸😎🌴🌴☀️
Glad you enjoyed it

Hey man what brand makes that slickback cleaner?

Is require to use distilled water with foaming cannon ?? .. I was using tap water and it wasn’t foaming thick enough .. anyone ??
would be best yes but not required, and no it doesn't affect the foaming capability

Are you having plans to make your own product one day?
Has anyone ever calculated how much a diy car wash is after the chemicals used, water etc?
$10-15 max
Damn James your making BANKKKK on these lazy people who don’t wanna wash there own cars😂🔥🔥
If you want to do it right it's actually a lot of work. Some people get to the point where they realize that and don't have the time, so they hand it over to the pros

Just me but I personally think you should do wheels and windows last on car, if clean them first and wash the car after everything will just fall on the wheels again
Would u rather have your main exterior/paint or wheels dirty? Your wheels are always going to be the filthiest and immediate
