Just sharing a few thoughts here as I was listening to you. My dad bought a second hand car when I was in 8th. He was not very good at servicing and maintaining it. The car has gifted me many moments of embarrassment when I had to push it on the road. I remember once we met a doctor family our family friend, the whole family took it as a great sport to push and get it started. It must have been an amusing evening for them. But not for the child/ college girl in me. Today I am capable of buying a new car, but the pain and embarrassment I had from those days is still there. I don’t know what my father must have gained by having such a useless car. I agree we can use many ways to save money, But one should never choose a way to comprise one’s satisfaction and happiness to save money. One reason that motivates me to work my butt off is that it enables me to spend money. 😊
I understand you. It would have been very embarrassing. When I said second-hand car, it didn't mean a worn-out car. When we don't know the technical things, it is always good to buy through an authorized second-hand shop rather than directly from people. Also even a new car won't start if the battery drains as we forget to switch off the headlight or something similar. I hope you will overcome this and be able to drive your car confidently soon 😊❤️
