My kids and I loved all the videos! Dean really had the perfect combination of information and entertainment within each dialog. His scenery work is absolutely awesome, and I hope he is able to continue to make more in an upcoming project. Thanks for the video, and thanks for yet another opportunity to spot that certain detail we hadn't yet noticed on the layout.
Sad to see the layout go as I always loved his scenery work. Hopefully he'll emerge with something new that he can share with us at some future date. Thanks for the video!
Sad to see it come to an end. I've been a big fan of the Oregon Joint Line for a number of years now, I especially loved the videos that Dean would create with his reoccurring characters and music.
Wonderful tribute video to this layout My first concern is everything is ok for Mr. Ferris. Secondly he is a great modeler and a great videographer. I have enjoyed watching his layout videos. Very entertaining and informative. I’ve learned a lot thru his channel. I wish him Godspeed with whatever comes next.
Can I ask either of you about what we would call a DPU today in one of the clips? I believe this layout set in late 60s. Was this practice actually in practice then? No judgement if no and was just for fun…..
Not sure what to say. The concept of this layout was truly inspiring. As a whole it is sad to see it end. 🙁 I am glad it was well documented for all to enjoy in the future. I’ll still be watching 🚂🚂🚂🚂🇺🇸
I live in the area where this layout is modeled after and it is an amazing representation and modeled extremely well. Watched all his video's, so sad to see the layout have to go.
Fantastic layout, especially for N scale. Your scenery is amazing. Your backdrops and scenery blend seamlessly and your scenery is spot on. Anybody know if this layout has been featured in any of the model railroad magazines? Sorry to see it go. Hoping we see something new from Dean in the future.
Dean’s layout was featured a couple of years ago in Railroad Model Craftsman …… cover photo and all. Many excellent photos in the article. Thanks for your comments.
It might just be me, but theres always such a profound sadness I feel, to see prototype or model railroads, come to a end and say goodby. This is a beautiful layout. First time I've ever saw it. To bad I didn't be around throughout its years, watching it evolve. Well, I understand that most the time in life, all good things come to an end. I sure hope thats not true for my third and final layout, I'm currently building. Its just a module 17' ft. long x 18 3/4" inch wide, point to point, industrial switching layout. Nothing compared to the size of this beauty. God Bless and Godspeed to all you fellow modeler friends. May you pursue and accomplish new and exciting better things, in the future plans, you might have in the hobby. I salute this beautiful layout, as it says so long, as the last car dissappears over the last hill, in the colors, of its last sundown, in the late evening air.🫡👌👍
A great tribute to Dean's layout! I had the honor of operating it back and 2021 and it was a blast!
Sorry to see the end of an era. Thanks for all the great videos. You certainly have a wonderful layout.
Thank you for a great video record of the layout. I especially enjoyed the wistful, nostalgic music choice.
Nice tribute to the layout. Your music choices helped in setting the mood for such an occasion. Thanks for sharing.

Awesome tribute! This was a great railroad to operate on. Dean's contribution to the hobby will not be forgotten anytime soon.
Great tribute video Mike, hopefully a Phoenix will rise out of the sad demise of this layout and a new one will shine!!!
This layout was an inspiration to all model railroaders regardless of scale.
This was a Masterpiece. Just ahead of most layouts Thanks for sharing B.
Wow, truely awesome layout!
I remember watching his videos, this is so sad that it will be no more
Because of limited space, I too have thought about going N scale. Thank you Mike for the video he has a terrific layout!
One of the best UA-cam channels. Wonderful layout.
Great video. Dean was a great guy. We will miss him.
Hopefully, Dean will be able to build another layout someday at his new residence ..... fingers crossed.
Sad to see such a impressive layout cease operations I will never forget how far this layout came
Wow... I'm sad to see it go. So many wonderful videos of that line... In my opinion that railroad is to N scale what the Gorre & Daphetid was to HO.
Sad to see it come to an end.

The humer in his videos, especially the U.P. made them funny to watch. Made for some of the best operations videos.
Very nice layout.
