Wheyyy a family member has a bike with the geared version of this motor, still works sound to this day other than it being a little loud compared to a direct drive, and a hair slower top speed, but it trades that for way better off the line torque.
The motors are fine (bafang clones for 250w and 9c clones for 1000w) the controllers are fine (KT controllers) but the 250w kit batteries use no name cells and are prone to early failures, the 1000w battery packs seem fine and don't have too many issues
@@EbikeRepairs Can confirm about the 1000w packs, family member has one that's still on it's original 48v 12ah battery from... .2015? if i remember right? It was bought right when the rules about throttles was changed, it still gets plenty of range too despite spending a good while sat when it got passed around as other family members upgraded
I replaced the sensors in my hub, but now when I hit the throttle it only goes for like 3 seconds in reverse and cuts out. I have switched wires to get it to go forward but it does the same thing. The speedometer stays at zero and the peddle assist does not work at all. I bought a 2 different new controllers from different companies and they both do the same thing. I have the white ebike reader with the lights. Shows the sensors all blinking and working. No erra codes. Cant figure it out. For months now. I am ready to give up. Any suggestions?
Got one this week with a cable half snapped at the axel bend. Motor has no bolts holding it together..... None.... It looks like the two halves screw together or are simply pressed together, never seen such a stupid idea. Heinzman hub.
@@EbikeRepairs yeah but not the rims and spokes, forever replacing them on sons cargo bike but he carries way too much at a time and rides it like he stole it..... And they are pressed together and where it sleeves it's stuck with loctite 638/628 so you have to heat the hub while using a flywheel puller

😂😂 painful isn't it! The heinzmann hubs were built like tanks though
