Is not the BMS, it is a proprietary circuit fuse board. I am replacing it with a simple 5A line fuse.

@@markwilkinson4428thankyou! I believe you could do that yes, throttles operate on ground, signal and +5v, the more you twist the throttle, the closer to +5v you get . Real world they seem to start off 0.5v - 4.7v from measuring them, you'd want to limit the signal voltage to a lower voltage. Keep in mind that the nature of having it be adjustable at all may well make it non road legal - it's a grey area!

On the resent program made by Panorama, they showed a cop stopping a guy on a 250watt bike, The cop lifted the back wheel, and because the throttle drove it over 6km an hour he confiscated the bike. So I'll make mine so it reverts to "Legal" every time the bike switches on, via my remote alarm switch.

@@andytipping70 they're ceramic / shiny plastic, it's fine :)

The motors are fine (bafang clones for 250w and 9c clones for 1000w) the controllers are fine (KT controllers) but the 250w kit batteries use no name cells and are prone to early failures, the 1000w battery packs seem fine and don't have too many issues

@@skysurferuk you could technically do this, but the cells form dendrites inside them, a chemical change, that isn't reversible, and this really increases the risk of fire and danger, plus high IR etc. I just wouldn't be comfortable putting a suspect pack like that into a Customers house - perhaps with one cell for a flashlight or something it would be fine, but a whole pack - I just wouldn't be happy unfortunately!

Replace the hall sensor yourself, or if its just the magnet then use some loctite to re secure the magnet 🧲

Testing, dropping out the motor, reinstalling, cleaning etc. will add up, maybe £60-140 depending on how smoothly the job goes! (Stripped/seized bolts etc)

@EbikeRepairs what would be your opinion/what you think this could be, so I have a 2022 surron, that keeps cutting out and in, new hall sensor, new throttle, and it's only done this since heavy rain fall... please and thankyou 🙏

@@ryanallen3704 no errors on the display? Quite possibly a controller - you can find cheap ones on marketplace for £100 sometimes, buy it, swap it, if it doesn't fix it you have a spare or just sell it on!

Most shops won't do it, I think you'd need to call ahead and check it's something they work on! Halfords for example don't usually do electrical work on bikes they didn't sell originally..
