The only Twisted Tales Books I read were Once Upon a Dream and Mirror, Mirror. The two twisted Tales books I really want to read is Straight on till Morning, because I really enjoy both the Peter Pan book and Movie, and Captain Hook is one of my favorite Disney Villains. I also really want to read Suddenly Super, because the Incredibles is one of my Favorite Disney Pixar films.
I DNF'd Part of Your World a chapter or two into it. Didn't like how much of it went like, "It wasn't supposed to end this way. Ursula wasn't supposed to win." Part of alternate histories I think is characters shouldn't "know" or "sense" that there is a branching timeline {e.g. where Ursula loses}. Just take the alternate timeline as the one true outcome. If characters ever regret anything, let them think back to a lot of times when things may have gone differently. Like instead of constantly thinking man, what if we beat Ursula, why not think like what if my mother was there, what if my dad wasn't so overprotective, what if I kissed Eric on the boat, etc. That way the character isn't whiney about the one moment we know wasn't supposed to happen that way. Cuz I mean if Ariel kissed Eric on the boat, the whole battle with Ursula wouldn't have even happened, so right there is where she should've thought man, I could've stopped this from happening right there.
Have all the twisted tales series enjoyed most of them. Recently purchased a book called Set in stone - What if Arthur wasn't supposed to be king by Mari Mancusi
The Twisted Tales books I have don’t have the same covers as yours do. Also, since I don’t know what order the books are supposed to be in and I forget very easily, I have them in order of when the movies came out which makes me very happy. Here’s something else - I have a Twisted Tales book called Twisted Tales Anthology. Would you like to know what that is? And then my mom let me order a Twisted Tales coloring book which I am so excited to own. I have no clue when it’s supposed to arrive, though.
My Sister in Law has the anthology, and I might borrow that next year. I know the UK covers are different from other ones, and they have updated the UK ones recently
@@timburbagereads My favorite Twisted Tales book is As Old As Time. Also, I ordered the newest Twisted Tales book - Sally’s Lament: What if Sally discovered Christmas Town? It arrives on October 8th. I’m so excited.
I completely love Twisted Tales. I read the books all the time. It is my favorite book series. I pre-ordered the new one which is supposed to arrive in April. There is one thing that bugs me and confuses me, though - the what if question on The Little Mermaid book (Part of Your World): What if Ariel had never defeated Ursula? Eric is the one who defeated Ursula. Not Ariel. At least in the animated movie. In the Live action remake and the Broadway version, she does defeat her. So….the question should be What if Eric had never defeated Ursula? Who agrees with me?
My favorites were So This is Love, Go the Distance, Reflection, What Once Was Mine, and Unbirthday.
@@romeostruedude thanks for the comment. I haven't read Go the Distance, What Once Was Mine and Unbirthday yet. I'll keep an eye out for them!
