I had a lot of anxiety about how to setup a dual pc stream, luckily with GoXLR it was easy. I wanted to share how I did it and how well it has worked for me! Please let me know if you have questions below!

This was huge dude! I have a G9 Odyssey and the Elgato 4k obvi cant run at that res so I was STRUGGGGGLING to figure out how to get my game capture to my stream PC and the "OBS Hack" works like a charm! Thanks brotha!

So I’m preparing to bulk order some of the cables for the setup. Do you need an extra display port cable as well? I also plan on having a triple monitor setup
So, You probably need a good quality 3.5 to 3.5, an HDMI or Display port to HDMI to go to your capture card no matter what. Those would really be in conjunction to your normal setup. But I would get what you think you need or maybe extra and return what you don't need. Most places have extended holiday return policies right now too.
BPala for the virtual monitor what should the display resolution and scale layout be? I think mine got changes at some point. If you are pushing out 1080p 100% should that be the same? In the display settings of the gaming PC I am speaking. TY
So when you capture stuff you want it in the resolution of your monitor. So if you have 1080p monitors, then 1080p. When you broadcast, that might be different because you might want to downscale the output for better quality streams.
FYI Instead of having 2 OBS open, On your game pc all you have to do is clone your main monitor with your capture card in the windows settings.
I prefer to capture it in OBS. Takes up very little resources and it allows me to control what people see on stream.
The problem with that is that if you dont have a good game capture, it will limit its fps or will feel really rare
@@elshavo Although NDI has improved a lot, you may have some fps loss, but if you do it with a dedicated capture device, it works perfectly and the resource consumption is extremely low. I use it like this and everything is perfect.

instead of setting up a second obs on your gaming pc would you just be able to add another 3.5mm aux cable from the out port of your streaming pc to the in port on the goxlr?
OBS doesn’t just handle audio, it sends the video signal to the stream PC.

Hey, quick question, in the video settings, for the canvas, If you use the eglato mk2 pro and have a 1440p monitor. Do we put 2560x1440 as canvas or we put 1920x1080 ? thanks !
I would say going into the stream PC you prob want the canvas for the 1440, but personally I would still stream in 1080p or a little lower.

Awesome video, I just had a quick question about the Broadcast stream mix, since we aren't using that anywhere are we still able to use the dials to adjust the audio? since in my one stream pc setup I was using the broadcast stream mix to do live mixing of music, chat and things like that
You still use broadcast stream mix! That should be the signal that is sent out via the line out of the GoXLR.

yeah a dedicated 5950x with ARC380 is absolute over kill. Got the same GoXLR and Elgato capture card. Stream X264 and Capture clips/video in AV1, I enjoy it. This is good too!
I had gotten a PC through Corsair for something and I decided it wasnt enough power and I wanted to do a dual PC setup. So that is why I have an over powered stream PC haha

Hi! New sub and hit the bell. Question. So I’ve done everything and my hd60s is working because I’m able to see it in the display options. I can’t seem to get the option for my elgato on my streaming pc unless I use video capture device. Any advice?
Are you saying you can’t see your HD60 On your gaming PC?

Shouldn’t matter unless you record on the gaming PC for just game play. Otherwise it’s just projecting the game play and that’s all.
I have the cam link pro, do you know if I can keep that in my gaming pc & have my 3 cameras run through my gaming pc. There's not enough pcie slots for both the 4k60 & cam link pro
Uh that would be tough. I mean you could I guess? You could have all your video stuff going into your gaming PC and just put them in your obs in there I suppose.
@IAmBPala when you say that could be tough, could you elaborate? There's no other way without purchasing a motherboard with 3 pcie slots
Hey man, thanks for the help. Had a question regarding music and Twitch Vods. I am trying to separate the music audio and game audio from the line in source so that I can have two seperate audio tracks (one for my vods that do not include the music, and one for the stream so that we can listen to copyrighted music). Any input as to how I should go about this? Thanks!
I honestly haven’t looked into how to do this with a dual PC setup the way I did it. I’ll let you know if I find a way!

so i have the goxlr and its awesome my question to you is would i be able to use this for my work pc just for audio purposes so i dont have to switch my headset from the goxlr to my work pc when working from home?? if not thats fine i just figured why not ask.
I think you can but then all your audio from your gaming PC would be going to your second PC. So if you are listening to music etc it would all transfer over. And you wouldn't be able to hear from your work PC. I don't hear anything in from stream pc in my head phones.
@@IAmBPala do you have your second audio Jack coming back to the goxlr in? That would bring the streaming pc audio to the go xlr therefore in theory you would be able to hear stuff on the streaming pc
I have a dual pc setup, with the same gear. I keep getting a white noise when streaming. I use a group loop isolator, but can't figure out what it is. There used to be a screeching noise but that went away with the loop isolator. Would a higher aux cable help with this?
You could def try that. I haven’t had any white noise or problems with my setup. That cable you can get at Best Buy or Amazon it is made by audio quest. They make some really quality cables. Could try that out and if it doesn’t work return it.

So on the capture card there is a pass through HDMI, I personally do not like it because it can limit your refresh rate and means you need to dedicate a monitor to either the PC or Console.

Can you please do a full step by step guide on how to set up a mobile gaming streaming via PC with GoXLR and Elgato? Also With 2 type of phones, one doesn't have a 3.5mm jack like iphones, and the other one has a 3.5mm jack. For the video game try cod mobile or pubg mobile and show how can we talk in the game voice chat and receive the in game sounds with no delay etc

Hey Ryder, thanks for the love I really appreciate it! I honestly have no clue what you would need for streaming mobile phone games but I may look into it and if I can do it for cheap I might be able to do it! I think you are right there are a lot of people interested in streaming mobile phone games and I am sure not a lot of people have "How to" guides on it.
What would you say it the minimum pc specs for the second pc just for the streaming?
Honestly not a clue maybe I’ll do some research. I think anything with a NVidia card that has encoding built into it paired with anything at that point should be fine.
Great video! How do I separate the audio in OBS on my streaming PC? Everything (game, discord, music, mic) is coming in through the same channel via the LINE IN.
So you can’t, if you are trying to do music, the only idea I had was having the line out of the stream PC send only music and then have that go into the gaming PC and hide the channel from stream in the GoXLR. But I haven’t tried it yet.
To be able to solve this, we need more information, if you are using a goXLR, in the routing table, remove what you don't want to go to the stream from "line out" route, this will remove this from being passed to the streaming PC, if you are only sending the main audio from gaming pc to stream pc, you need to seperate the audio sources in the gaming PC, this can be done with some different softwares.
@@RyuujinGames yes, I am using a GoXLR! That’s the issue I have. Like you said, I’m sending all of my audio from my gaming PC into my streaming PC through a GoXLR, and that results in me not being able to separate it in the streaming PC. So what software can I use on my gaming PC to separate the audio after it’s been sent to the streaming PC?
@@artemnoelgames You can't do it after, when the audio is sent via line out, all audio is combined to one stream of audio, you have to do it as i mentioned in the GoXLR routing table. I assume you have the GoXLR connected to the gaming PC

How do you play music in between games? I have a dual pc setup with no stream deck I followed these steps but I didn’t hear you mention anything about music and what’s the best way to multitask that and game without a stream deck? Please help

So I used a stream deck to pause and play music. You could maybe try a hot key or media button on your keyboard. Just make sure it’s playing on your gaming PC.
You should invest in a stream deck it’s a game changer or at least more budget friendly macro pads on Amazon

The copy of OBS you use is just to project it to your "Elgato" monitor. You don't record or stream with it so impact should be minimal.
So by doing it this way do you lose all audio from your streaming PC? I tried this setup but all my audio on the streaming PC is gone and I do all my edits on there
Personally, I only use my stream PC when I am streaming and that is it. I didnt want to worry about splitting and re routing audio so that is why I set it up this way. Only disadvantage is splitting audio lines for DMCA or Twitch Track.
can you use a bluetooth switch instead of having an extra mouse and keyboard?
I use Multiplicity it comes in clutch and highly recommend.

I mean, the Wave XLR supports it and its like $170? They even have a bundle with the Wave DX with the low profile arm.
My monitor is 1440p 240hz and currently have a hd60s+
Is this the best method to still game via 1440p 240hz? I don’t want my gaming monitor to downscale to 1080p 60hz
You can still use a pass through and get higher speeds. It all depends on what version of HDMI is has.
Does anyone know how to fix the volume levels compared to your own mix?? I dont want to blast the game sound in my ears so that the stream hears it well. I also dont want to hear loud music while the stream hears it evenly. I didn't have this problem with a single pc setup
That’s really strange, I haven’t had that issue before to be honest. Or even after going to a dual PC setup. If you set it up like I did, all your audio is coming from the gaming PC, then you should be able to adjust the audio input coming into your stream PC. That would raise overall levels.

You kind of can’t haha what I did was make my “fake monitor” above my second monitor so I’m less likely to move it into that space.

Honestly I havent even looked into what the best stream pc settings are. I would imagine anything that doesn't bottle neck a 1660 Ti or above as that has the same encoder as all the other GPUs to my knowledge. Might make a video about this in the future. I would suggest just using OBS, regular OBS, on the gaming PC. All it has to do is project the screen to the Capture card is all.
my problem with the setup is i can't get sound on the xbox app and i used to and no idea what happened. if you could help me out with that i would be greatly appreciated but i love this setup
Try going to settings and look for the audio settings and switch input to system and than chat for output and your mic
Honestly, I haven't used the Xbox app, maybe I can try when I have some free time but, I would say make sure the audio is routing out to the proper location. Aka check the output for your PC and for that app as they can be individualized.

how do you get the 3rd virtual monitor
The "third virtual monitor" is the Elgato Capture card. It still acts as a monitor but, it is not a real display. However, it shows as a display in your settings.
i got a question BPala when i connected my second pc my main monitor got extremely darker idk why
on obs on the stream pc its not capturing my main monitor its capturing itself
So for the darker thing I got no idea, that is strange. Has to be a setting or something I would imagine because essentially doing it this way is like having an "extra monitor".
And you need to cast your OBS Preview from your gaming PC to the capture card so it displays it on the stream pc. You also need to add a source to the stream PC that captures the video from the capture card.
Thank you for this. I will say though, minus the GoXLR, i have this flipped. Everything on my Streaming PC (discord, music, OBS), and only gaming on my Gaming PC to maximize CPU/GPU for gaming only. I do use audio hardware (mixer, mic preamp, etc) to handle manual controlled audio, never like the GoXLR, and sold it b/c it forced you to use it on the gaming PC
I can see that. I think even with the WaveXLR you can use a dual PC setup but same thing all audio has to go through the gaming PC.

This didn’t work for me. I’m getting no audio from Gaming PC to the Streaming PC. Followed it step by step.
You have to plug your GoXLR line out into the stream PC and then you have to enable listening mode on the Stream PC.
this capture method also prevents screen tearing on stream and gives a bit better quality. i actually use this as well
Literally an amazing way to do it. I have heard some people hate it but it’s the best imo.

I’m sure there is but you would need software and cables to do it and I honestly haven’t researched it.
when i set go xlr to defualt audio device I cant hear audio though my headphones anymore. even when I plug them in via 3.5mm to go xlr
What headphones do you have? And your output on your GoXLR should always work for audio. I use wired head phones and speakers.

My issue is, my sound isnt "Loud" enough to capture onto the Streaming PC. I have to throw the meters past mid just to have it capture

@@IAmBPala couldn’t find line in. The only thing that worked was a microphone (assuming it’s the line coming out from my gaming pc) but when I record a video in obs the sound from both my pc and microphone sound washed out
When I get to the set to choose full screen protector preview I only get the option for the 1 display connected to the PC (stream pc) why am I not seeing the elgato hd60 pro?

Yea so you want to run OBS on stream PC and gaming PC. The gaming PC is used for audio and capturing games and desktop. On the gaming PC preview screen you want to right click and select project preview and select HD60 Pro. When your gaming PC is plugged into yours stream PC you should see it as a “monitor” called HD60 Pro.

The biggest thing is making sure you are sending it to the line in and having the PC listen to that I believe? I’ll have to go back and watch it but, yea you should have an aux from the audio out on the GoXLR to the line in on the stream PC.
Why not just clone your gaming monitor to your capture card output??? Then you don't have to run OBS. With a GOXLR there is def flexibility BUT I would argue it best to run the GOXLR on the streaming PC and just send game audio over to the stream PC. There is some more setup with getting your mic back to the gaming PC for chat but the idea with a 2 PC setup is to get all apps off the gaming PC so it can just run the games.
I only want to use my Stream PC when I stream and that is it. I dont want to run both PCs all the time and sometimes I game in my off time so I wanted it to be this way personally.
I like using OBS as it uses minimal resources so its very negligible and I can control what people see. So if I want to show my desktop, I can do that, or if I want to show just the game, I can do that. Gives me more flexibility over what is being broad casted.
why isnt my line in poppin up on my stream pc ?
Should be in the audio settings and you can use the listen function

Actually you don’t need voice meter I use the same capture card 4k mw2 and legato wave 3 mic I just in and out ports the. I hit listen to this device I am good too go oh I don’t use a line in thanks too my wave 3 or me thing listing to this device I leave every thing for my streaming pc I use wave xlr as well I use it on my streaming no two obs oh I use pass through I play at 60 for
Yea I have used the Wave before hand and it works well! I just don’t like how currently if the gaming PC goes down with this setup, then you lose all audio. I switched to my GoXLR mini because of that.
So I watched your video and another video. You said only hook up one cable to the GoXLR but the other video said to hook up the line out and line in… so I’d like to ask you because you seem to be way more through then the mother video and I just want to know why they’d say that and what’s the difference.

I think they are routing their audio differently than I am. I am finding I do it an odd way I suppose? But I use all the audio from my gaming PC and use the line out to my stream PC. They might be doing it the other way around.

So all your audio should be on your gaming PC there for, your mic should be on it as well. You might need to set your default microphone in your system settings and in your game settings.
