How to setup Dual PC for streaming with GoXLR and Elgato HD60 Pro

- I recently upgraded my gaming PC and decided to use the old parts to make a streaming PC to use in a Dual PC setup. This configuration drastically increased the quality of my stream and also my gaming experience with higher FPS and graphics settings.

This is a high effort video, you deserve more followers
Thank you!
Connecting your go xlr to the stream pc via usb is superior
I use my gaming pc as a main PC. So I don’t always have my stream PC turned on. I didn’t want to have to power it on just for audio.
can this set up work using a laptop for the streaming pc? if so how would i set it up? great vid btw man! dropped a like for the quality content.
You could make that work, just instead of an HD60 pro, you would need a USB-C capture card. Elgato makes a few of them
Hey Rambo,
First of all, thank you very much for the very informative video, it's great to see the effort you put into it!
I have exactly the same setup, and overall, I'm quite satisfied with it. However, I have encountered two problems for which I haven't found a solution:
Since all audio goes through Line-Out into the streaming PC, I can't separate the audio tracks there, which I would like to do for Twitch VODs and for audio ducking of my microphone.
The image from the gaming PC is always transmitted correctly to the streaming PC (1440/60fps), and in general, everything works fine. However, I consistently encounter an issue with the game GTAV where I can only set the resolution to 1080, unless I disconnect the connection to the Elgato, then 1440 becomes possible again.
Do you perhaps have any ideas for a solution?
Thank you for the comment!
I would try to connect the GoXLR USB right to your streaming PC instead. And connect line in to your gaming PC. This way you can separate your channels while also hearing audio from both PCs. You will lose the customization on the gaming PC however. But you could use something like voicemeeter to adjust those levels.
As for the video, the hd60 pro only does 1080p so that may be an issue. But you could look into setting up preview projection running obs on the gaming pc over the elgato link. That may help keep resolutions and refresh rates.
Thank you for your response!
Yes, I had considered that as well, but I encounter the issue that I would need to run Discord & Teamspeak on the streaming PC as well. Only then can I not use push-to-talk, so it must run on the gaming PC... and thus, I can't control it through the GoXLR. I think I won't be able to avoid getting another mixer.@@Rambo_IsHere
I have an important question. I just ordered a GoXLR and was wondering if I'm hooking up this way, is my Mic working for BOTH stream and gamechat in the gaming PC. Or do i need a second mic to talk to people in COD on the gaming PC?
You can still chat on the gaming PC, just have to set in game mic to the go xlr
wait, did I understand correctly that both 3.5 cables are connected to 1 pc stream?
or is there still 1 cable in the PC stream, 2 in the game? it's just not clear then how the sound will come to the gaming PC if it is not connected via 3.5
Sound and mic for the gaming pc is through the USB cable. The 3.5mm cables are for audio to your stream pc and audio from your stream pc.
@@Rambo_IsHere I’ve already figured it out, I think I’ve even set everything up. I connected the GoXlr to the stream PC, I also connected the 3.5 cables, but I would like the sound of the microphone to be transmitted to the gaming PC for discord, how can this be done?
