The Maloofs owned the Houston Rockets for about three years in the early 1980's until the head of the family had passed away. During that time, Gavin Maloof who was in his 20's was a GM of the Rockets. He later became an owner of the Kings. So yes you could say they had some experience in running a pro franchise.
@@LaBreeceTV I worked for a company of theirs around the time they owned the Kings. Joe and Gavin Maloof ran the Kings and their brother George ran the Palms Casino in Las Vegas. They were movers in shakers during the 2000's. But it appears the recession of 08'-09' may have done a number on their wealth. They pretty much lost the Palms and of course the Kings. Their sister Adrienne Maloof who was on the show Real housewives of Beverly Hills may be the most public figure of the family today. Fun fact: brother George played football along side Suge Knight at UNLV.
David Stern did Seattle so dirty and as a final punch to the stomach of Seattle, the Kings beat the team formerly known as the Sonics in their final game at this arena, while Stern gets a street named after him for denying Seattle NBA basketball AGAIN! Lol Sonics fans will never forgive David Stern for what he did to that franchise.

Even though the kings didn’t move to Seattle I do really hope Seattle gets their team back
Thanks, didn't want the Kings anyways. Would've made us no better than those hillbillies in OKC.

This a Yt video about the NBA Sacramento Kings, with advertising for Draft Kings sports betting. ...A good match.
13:55 - They want to move the Sacramento KINGS to King County, Washington.? That could be appropriate.
16:16 - You should make a Yt video about the many different home arenas that the ABA/NBA Nets team has had.

RIP Sleep Train Arena 1988-2022 formerly Arco Arena thanks for the memories!
Maybe the A's can move there.. LOL...
Cool video. Would love to see a hockey arena covered like Joe Louis Arena, Boston Garden, Chicago Stadium along those lines 😊😊
Good old arco arena
Wasn't there another Arco? This was the second one they built?
@@arlensauer7978 no original only one arco 1985-2016
This was the second Arco Arena, there was an original Arco Arena for a couple of years before the Arco Arena we know was made and unveiled in 1988
Aha original arco still exist second arco demolished
pretty cool video, great job on the research on this
Kansas City-Omaha then proceeds to shows a photo of Lincoln. Do people pronounce it Rock-chester too?
Good catch. I noticed both of these things, too.
Raised in Rochester we call it rachester
Sacramento, Sacramento where you at?
Yeah
Throw it up, y'all, throw it up, throw it up
I can't see ya
Living in Sac for many years, I watch a many of games at both Arco's.
You should do one of the Oakland Coliseum!
Will be very much appreciated😊
0:30 - The Golden Arena is located at mid-city Sacramento?
Golden1 Center is in downtown Sacramento
There was an unfinished tunnel under it where clans used to live😨

Nazareth Speedway in Nazareth, PA
Sac has been popular this last week and a half

Wow I had no idea about that. It's too bad when they really got into vegas the team went to the laughing stock of the league
Light the beam
Do Mcnichols Sports Arena in Denver
I’ve been fascinated by it
3:08 That is NOT Omaha, that is Lincoln you can see Memorial Stadium and the State Capitol in the picture.
Unfortunate.
Do the Mid-South Coliseum
A true Wrestling Mecca.
Great video
Arco Arena was a true example of an Arena aging horribly within 10 years of its typical bland outdated 80's design.
Do the Pacific Coliseum
In light of what has happened in California, Kansas City may end up with an NBA franchise again.
Where are u @labreeceTV
Sleep train didn't age well
Definitely, the design was already outdated during it's inaugural season for the Kings.
@@zacharyyamashita8554 think they meant the company sleep train didn't last long
😂😅😂they're better now
👍👍👍
