Thanks for the tips, I got an Albo and a Thai a couple of months ago and the Albo developed a brown spot on its first leaf. I hope that isn't recurrent so these tips will come in handy 🌿
Thank you for making these Thai update videos! I finally got me a Thai and he’s my baby but I am having trouble with leaves-Browning and crispy. But! I’m using your tips and repotted it into a plastic pot and I am moving it to my office which has a south facing window! PLEASE do another Thai and Variegated Monstera update again! Anymore tips!? They’re very helpful!! P.S. There is a nursery near me that has Thai Monstera and I think I’ll go back to get another one soon...like...tomorrow lol Thanks again! I love your videos! So helpful and entertaining! I LOVE your plants! And your pups are the cutest! 🌿💚🌱💚🍀💚
So glad that you were able to correct the problem! Your thai constellation is gorgeous! Cant wait to see the new leaf! 😍🥰♥️ 🌱☘🌿🍃. You look beautiful no matter what Julie! ♡
I definitely agree with what you say about unfurling Thai monstera leaves, I recently knocked (ever so slightly) a new unfurling leaf and it made it brown almost right away. Thank you for all of the tips, I hope this will help my Thai Constellations thrive. ✨🌿
😊 love the plastic potting information. I just got my Thai constellation in a 4" pot with 4 leaves and one emerging out soon and I will repot it soon. I wasn't sure if Clay pot or Plastic pot is better. But you just helped. Yeaaaaah!! Thank you. I am in Syracuse, NY. Keep your glasses because it's gorgeous on you.
Thank you for doing this video. All anyone ever shows are perfect plants and the generic "how to" that you see all over the internet. It's nice to hear about someone's personal experiences and ways to help your plant thrive more. Especially given that some are being sold online for obscene amounts of money.
🪴💚 Thanks for the tips. My Thai constellations has several tiny brown spots a new leaf so and I appreciate the feedback. I was trying to decide if I should cut the brown so it didn't help with that but I'll try your other videos!!
I got my Thai constellation a month ago, I can't wait for spring to come so I can repot this beauty ! I will watch your video again then 😊 Have a wonderful day Jolie Julie 💚🌱
Greetings from Finland 🇫🇮🦌 Just got my thai constellation love it so much ✨ so this video was just in time to me learn all the tips to keep it super beautifull 🍃 you are one of my favourite plant tubers atm! 😊
I bought my Thai in dec 19 and waiting for it to do a new leaf, I can see one rising on the side but feels like it’s taking foreverrr haha Also it’s leaning to the window badly so I need to get a grow light of the top 🤦🏽♀️
I have a grow light & a fan sitting on the floor pointing to the ceiling on the same timer. The fan is to help circulate warm air, but I also see the foliage of my plants move about when it’s on ☺️🍃
I went back to look for this video, I’m struggling with my beautiful marble queen pothos which has some very white leaves that are getting brown spots. I appreciate your tips, and I miss your new uploads!! Hope you’re doing well.
I believe your right about the fan. Years ago I started my seeds indoors, down in the basement and I had a fan gently blowing on the seedlings, I believe that promoted stronger stems on the seedlings. Think about it, plants don’t grow in nature completely still, the wind does blow, they get movement and I was once told when planting trees outside not to stake them so they had no movement.Movement stimulates their growth and makes them stronger. So I might suggest your fan idea is a very good one!💚🙃
I appreciate your honesty/tranaparency about trying to increase the reach/coverage (?) of your channel. I hope it's also okay if I engage through substantial comments instead of emojis 😂
Yes to a cleaning video!! Also, your thai constellation is so stunning 😭❤❤ Thanks for these care tips! I might try and repot my var. Monstera into a plastic pot then to see if that helps making it grow! Because it's only given me one new leaf since May of last year 😅
Would love to see how you clean your humidifier! Mine always collects that annoying red/pink mold from the water and it's so hard to clean! Love your videos btw! Subscribed
Thank you for your tips Julie! Your monstera is beautiful. I'm going to start using filtered water to some of my plants that are sensitive to minerals. Do you also have to harden the leaves of non-variegated monsteras, such as delicisosa?🌵
My Monstera Albo was browning on white part too. I had a humidifier on it, but it didn’t put out warm mist. I got a humidifier with warm mist and put the mist right on the leaf, so far no more browning! The warm setting really makes a difference.🍀🌱
🌱 thank you I really enjoyed the video I hope I can save my mmonstera it’s dying a little bit I made a mistake with it but now I’m in the repair process and hoping she stays alive your video really helped thank you
Great video, I haven't had the browning on mine yet but I'm gonna try some of these tips to hopefully prevent it from happening. Especially the hardening off of new leaves.
I’m having issues with mine currently. It’s due to overwatering and rot root. I cut off all the rot and now it’s healing then I’ll repot it. I don’t want it to die yet cause I just got it 2 months ago. The stem is still in good condition so if the leaves are not looking it’s best, I’ll have to chop a node or 2. Thanks for the tips! 🌿💕
I had the same issue with mine. It came with root rot and it got worst when I had it in soil. I took it out, cut a lot of the root rot, (mostly all roots where cut 😥) wash it real good with dish soap in room temperature water, rinse it really good and let it propagate in water until beautiful long new roots grew, then I planted it in terracotta planter with lots of perlite for now to give the roots lots of oxygen. When it's nice and settle I'll replanted in plastic pot. Hopefully this spring. I hope I helped. I wish you luck 💚🤗
Thank you Julie for the care tip. I recently was gifted a monstera deliciosa and adansonii and your care tip will help me take care of them even though my plants are not the variegated version. 💚🌿
Very helpful video! Thank you! :) Brita filters don't really filter out minerals (a little bit but not really a noticeable difference if you use a TDS meter). I recommend zero filter pitchers if you want to produce water with low to no mineral content.
I’m glad it’s doing better. It looks amazing! .mine is much smaller but I’m hoping it will grow a lot if I put it outside for the warm months this year
👓 The glasses look cute! My albo Monstera did that very thing last year with the browning. I brought it into the light you described - southern, but not direct. No browning since! I don't always use a humidifier in that room but did keep it misted. I've had 2 new leaves on it so far. Exciting! The fact of wind and other outside conditions helping to toughen up a plant is right on 👍. If you have a ceiling fan, that might be perfect. 🌿
🪴🪴 I rotted my first constellation by taking it out of PON because the roots had overgrown the pot and put it into cocopeat. It had just put out it's third leaf. I could have cried! I purchased another one and put it in an Aroid mix. No PON for this baby and it is growing nicely. Once you start with PON you have to leave it there.
Thanks for the video, really good info on the baby leaves hardening, I have a problem with mine getting black spots with yellow circles 😑, light is good, watering is consistent so I'm really clueless now.
Id 6:50 like to say that i appreciate the fact that you got RIGHT to wtheck we were searching to find out Like you didn’t go into this long detail about yourself and over explain etc haha Thank you! This was actually very helpful and made a lot of sense
Luv the glasses on you! Unfortunately I do not have one of these beauty yet. It is my number one wishlist. One day I’ll get lucky. Yours is so gorgeous with the right amount of variegation. I did notice you had cuttings from your mother plant, how are they doing? Thank you for the tips.

Thank you so much for the tips. I just purchased a rooted cutting and am terrified to kill it!!
Yes, can you do a cleaning tutorial on humidifier!🌵
I will! :D

Ariana Arellano Ask Julie sell a leaf to you.
I hope you find one Ariana!
@@julienicole92 thank you. I am going to visit a shop (the planter) here in Chicago this Saturday in hopes of finding one .

yes!! Just got mine today so I’m so excited but nervous! It’s in sphagnum moss do you have any care tips in that medium? 🌱
I got my Thai constellation a month ago, I can't wait for spring to come so I can repot this beauty !
I will watch your video again then 😊

Ahhhh congrats! I hope these tips are useful to you and your new plant!
I definitely noticed WAY more browing as soon as I forgot about the humidifyer for just a month
🌱🍃🌿 browning on plants can be so frustrating. I'm glad you're figuring out some solutions. I love your glasses! Seeing is more important!
Thank you! I may have to wear those glasses more often now. My eyesight is definitely declining 🙈
My Thai Constellation comes in the mail tomorrow. I am so excited, thanks for the vid 💚🌱🍀
OMG!! So exciting! You will love it
Will you cut the brown parts of the leaf off? It really looks fantastic, thanks so much for sharing!
I actually did!! I'm posting an update video for my bedroom plants and it will be featured in that video :)
I bought my Thai in dec 19 and waiting for it to do a new leaf, I can see one rising on the side but feels like it’s taking foreverrr haha

You should try! Many plant people on Instagram recommend using plastic pots for improved growth :) And enough sun of course
I just got a ThaiC and this video is very informative. Thanks for the update. 🌿🌿🌿🌿
Love this video! Glad your plant is doing alot better. I'm so tempted to buy a Thai constellation now 🌱

Your Thai is looking great! Lucky you it has a lot of sectoral varigations 😊 👍
Yes I'm lucky it has very nice variegation! :D
Great info...will try your advice for my Thai constellation as it is browning too...

New Thai constellation mama here! Thanks for the advice 🌌 🌿🪴

Good to hear you had similar success with an increase in light! Very interesting!
Hi have you done a update on this? I'd be interested to see how the plant is going.🪴
Eventually I will get on of these. Interesting about the pot theory. 🌱
Great video, I have a Monstera deliciosa i was looking for tips on care and ended up here. 🌿🍃💚 And yes glasses on, so cute!
Your Thai constellation is huge! 💚🌱
I know! She's grown alot!

Good luck on your channel. I just started loving plants so your information will be helpful
Beautiful Thai! 🌱🌿💚💚💚 love the tips!

Thank you for this video. I just got my Varigated monstera yesterday and I’m so nervous to get browning ends 😩 🌱
🌿🌿🌿 I just got my first thai constellation today!!
yayyy exciting!
Yes! Love these tips! I have a Thai and an albo. Would you recommend the same tips for a variegated monstera albo? 🌿💜🌵🌱🍃🌳
Yes!! They would apply to both :)
Your monsteras are so big and beautiful! I bought a juvenile last winter and it looks the same 😩
Love the Thai constellation 💚 please show us close up shots of the plant 🙏😁
Thank you! I will the next time I give an update :D
🌿🌿 thank you for your tips !! Im having my brown issue on my thai con 😭
🌸🌱🌺🌷🍄 your plant is so beautiful!! I hope to find one near me in the spring!! Been wanting one for a while now!!
Would love to see how you clean your Levoit. I use a brush too. I only do it once a week. Do you use Brita water filter in your levoit or distilled? I was using distilled but started feeling a little bad about all the plastic jugs for the environment. I use distilled water for my marantas and dracenas ( they do not require a lot) so no big deal and I use brita filtered water on most of my other plants but I have 3 humidifiers and I just can’t justify using that many plastic jugs a week!!
I do find the Levoit a little easier than one of my tao humidifiers and I love that it has the sensor. I do not think it is totally accurate but I do like the tank size and features. My plants also seem to be happy with it. I wish it was a top fill though. I am not just lazy but I am so afraid that I am gonna drop it and break it.
Hey Stacy! So for my humidifier I use my Brita filtered water, and I never notice any mineral deposits from the steam which is a plus. And less plastic is wasted! I will make a cleaning video so stay tuned :)
Julie Nicole thank you!! I haven’t had any issues using the filtered water so far either. I have used another humidifier in the past and I used tap water and there was a terrible white dust everywhere.
That plant is gorgeous!
"Don't touch it" is hard for me 🌴🌴
Oh trust me, same!!
Do you have any before photos of your problem leaf/leaves? ... and glasses on for sure 👍🏻
