Somebody mentioned Boling. If I'm not mistaken, he is the only person to break 10 seconds for the 100, 20 seconds for 200, 45 seconds for the 400, and 27 feet in the long jump.
I did make it this far 😁 Love watching track & field, most of the coverage is geared to the elites but you cover them as well as prospects and up and comers. It gives your viewers a birds eye view of the sport! Keep on posting your great content 👍🏼
I don't see Boling being a threat in the 100. He should stick to the 200 and especially the 400 where he's much more competitive. I'd also like to see him do more long jump because he's a proven talent in that event.
Boling just cracked the 45 second barrier in the open 400 so he should be able to get a spot on the mixed 4x4 and maybe run a leg in the prelims for the mens 4x4. Making top 3 or even a 4x1 spot will be tough. He can run sub 10 but something like a 9.95 doesn't mean much with as many talented sprinters we have.
@@HEAVYCHEVY409on 4 by 400 he might be in the prelims. Because as far as times this season for usa. He’s ranked 6 th. Michael norman fastest in usa. So far is .78 faster . Than boiling.
Now that everyone is back..Pattern, Willie, Allison, Godwin...he wont make any team...they all have to be hurt for him to make anything like b4...There are currently college students who will kill him...LIL CAT FROM GEORGIA AND OTHERS
The upcoming US Olympic trials, will be outstanding. The selectors could choose and send 3 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams to Paris and all 3, could make the podium.
I don’t KNOW what it is about you guys, but you sure know how to sell something. I was hooked from the start. It certainly is going to be a fast US trials and and even faster Paris Olympics if the US team is ready and all fired up to go!
Wow your good I didn't hear of these guy's as much as I try and keep up thanks. And yep maybe a change this year. Man this is good would these guys run the 200 meters ahhhh man that would be some great runs
Appreciate your content. Don’t believe there will be any sleepers at the trials this year. Lyles and Knighton will definitely make the team in the 200m, but nothing else is guaranteed
Boling is a decathlete in the making. Imagine what he could potentially do to the WR instead of messing around in events where he's had limited success.
Winning the US championships is no guarantee of winning gold at the Olympics though. That said, good luck to whoever makes the US- I suspect Fred Kerley might miss out this time around
Was anybody else disgusted with the NCAA West Regional coverage? My college teammate's daughter qualified for nationals in HJ and it wasn't even aired. Basically it was all running events and blue screens either showing lane assignments or places. It was the driest coverage I've ever seen.
You are commenting on one of the biggest problems that track and field faces. The sport is so fast with so many events. It is really impossible to cover it all logistically. Sports have all the action occurring on one field or court. That’s a lot of TV cameras that have to be set up. On top of that, people will watch a game for 2 to 3 hours. But a track and field meet can last for half a day. it is disappointing that coverage was not as good as it can be. But there are no easy fixes without a lot of money to fund it and reasonable fans support on the other end to demand it.
@@SCATrackandField I'm an Arkansan and a UofA fan, knowing and appreciating the legacy Coach McDonald left there. Yet the UofA has the worst T&F coverage of any university. Just watch their Tyson Invitational coverage. It is third-rate, disgusting, and is an offense to the athletes who are giving their all at the events. I agree with you about the difficulties in covering T&F. But, when you have an ESPN+ broadcast and you don't even bother to put a stationary camera on field events that start before running events so people can watch them, you're failing. If you know the schedule and have the least bit of production skills, you can formulate a plan. My college teammate's daughter qualified for the nationals in the HJ at the Fayetteville regional, but was there any video coverage of the event? no, not one second.
THANKS for sharing your podcast because you speak about the AMERICAN sprinters in colleges and universities because I am tired of hearing about foreign athletes being well trained in the USA and beaten the Americans from their country!!! And I know that US Olympics trials are going to be INSANE, but what about the women instead of Sha'Carrie Richardson, Gabby Thomas, Aliea Hobbi, Abby Stiener, and Tamari Davis for the 100m in 200m dash... Micheal Boling is a 400m dash sprinter but he is also trying for the 200m dash sprinter and didn't he qualify for the relays for the 400m dash or do they have to compete too for the Nationals?!! Can you clarify the procedure for the relays?!! Thanks in advance!!!
@@madmusicman5921 Thanks 👍!! But I only saw him in the 400m dash until recently I saw him in the 200m dash and what the commentator said about him as a collegiate at the time!!! For instance, I recently saw him in the Jamaican Invitational and received a 🥈 medal for his effort!!! And of course, I saw him in the 400m dash relays in Bahamas and he was in Budapest in the 400m dash relays and medalled.. but thank you for sharing that though!!!!
Boling will not be on the Olympic team as a sprinter in any strictly men's event. Mixed relays perhaps. To win gold in the 2024 Olympics it will likely take a 9.7 time or better to win gold. Which means for anyone in the final to have a chance they must have run in the 9.8's. Boling has never had a sniff of anything close to that.
You got your stuff together coach, great content

…Are you saying that absolutely no one in The USA has run faster a 100 metres race in UNDER 10 seconds???
I ask, because I did not know…
@@richmck007no he’s saying no one in the world. Had done that in all of those 4 events. In 4 multiple events. Not even Carl Lewis.
Your mistaken because Michael Norman has ran 9.86 1970 and 43.45 and Wayde van niekerk has also broke 10 20 and 45
@KOJOSLIM007-so6cj He is adding the long jump to complete a quad. But, you are right others have run 100,200,400 faster.
@@KOJOSLIM007-so6cj yeah but no long jump over 27 feet. And Michael normal I think wind aided. And him and van nuekirk are way older.
We should be grateful to have so many great runners at the same time.Too bad that we can't include all of them in the olympics

He will probably be on 4x4 mixed. He won't be on the 4x4 male, and he most definitely won't be on the 4x1. Smh, lol
