We've all seen how good Janice is on quads. And not so bad on inlines. These videos are more helpful than most because it truly is back to basics for things. I'd love to see a full series where you teach total novices from scratch. Give us all a proper time line and homework each week. I wont ever be as good as you or Janice. But I do want to be good enough to say hey. Ricardo Lino taught me how to skate.
It really feels so strange changing between different style skates . Like I have never skated before and my poor little brain just can’t figure it out 😂😅
Well done Janice 👏👏. It's very unusual to see an older complete beginner aggressive skater, as I was. Thanks for giving it your best and for sharing. Keep going 💪
So at 49 years old just trying to get into Quad and Inline, with my wife. Love this video. Great way to teach from scratch. Inspired us to go from flat lines to a skate park.
I totally feel her fear! Not only did I just get those exact skates in that color, I just started learning on aggressive inlines after only quad skating. I looked exactly like her at the park the other day. Thank you for this video! I don't feel alone anymore. 🤣😂 It's so scary without the stops.
great video, I am 34 and bought my first agressive skates, I was lucky enough to survive my first day on them, new park was opened and there was sooo many kids on scooters and I was the only one on skates😑no one to look up to and try to learn & observe🤷♂️ This video is helping by showing on what to work first, I am hoping this will become a series🌝
Okay, you guys are adorable. This was very sweet. The couple that skates together, stays together! As they say? Super helpful video. I also have started on quads and have basics down at the park. Time to transition to aggressive in-line, so it will be a bit like relearning the park again I’m sure. Scared to go fast on the harder wheels but cannot wait for the versatility of anti-rockers and grinds ✌️❤️
I’m so proud of your wife. Back in the 90s when I was a teen girl, some of the happiest times in my life was hopping on Bart w my k2 fattys and skating all over San Francisco specifically Embarcadaro/hubba hideout. Back then you could always catch famous skaters and meet them. I sucked so bad then and I still suck now at 40 years old! Lol! My dream is to learn how to properly skate like I always imagined I could. I was too scared to really try. You and your wife are awesome! Thanks so much for the inspo!
This is a great video. I'm just getting into aggressive skating for the first time, used to skate distance like 20 years ago. This was an amazing opportunity to see how to really start learning how to grind and get used to ramps.
I love this video, I'm starting to go on skateparks, but I'm still a bit scared of the ramps and half pipes, and since I don't have aggressive skates (only freestyle) no grinds for me yet. This video was funny and helpful, thank you ✨
I love you guys. You guys are the cutest couple. I loved the video. It was great and helped me lots with how to start grinding. Thank you for making videos. I love them all.
I have been an aggressive quad skater for a few years, and I'm going to skate aggressive inlines for the first time today!! This video made me laugh so much because 1. I also am very toestop dependent and will be falling down a bunch while climbing ramps and 2. I empathize with the anxiety of learning new skills and not being immediately good at it! Thanks for the fun video.
Nice job janice and ricardo for teaching! It is nice to see someone whos a beginner to learn so we can see what it can look like at the beginning! Feels less impossible haha!
Dope video!Ive tried to teach my wife in the past but didnt work out but with some of the tips you were giving i might have a shot to teach her! lol 🤘🏽
Thank you so much. I’ve been trying to use my aggressive skates and it’s super intimidating going to the park with no to little knowledge. I’ve rollerblader my whole life but on the rode jumping off curbs etc but I wanna grind. But it is intimidating and it’s super cool to see the start of it and feel not so alone because well, yes I know how to blade but those parks and ramps are so smooth and I forget about it and it catches me off guard!
Ok u guys need yur own reality show lol. I found myself clapping and rooting her on when she got got it!🥲🤙🏽🤟🏾🖖🏾👍🏾✊🏾 The Daily Grind " The family that sk8s together; stays together!" 🥲😅🤣🤪 lol u guys r flippin Cuuuuuute together!! NO Lie!! I fell up the ramp almost the same way my first time hahahaa. I was alone and curious but didn't have someone to instruct me lol.
Oh my goodness, that was hilarious because I totally felt her struggles, I rollerskate and I’ve tried inline skates once and I kept falling on my face because my brain would say: use your toe stops to stop, use your toe stops to go 😂 well done Janice, you have inspired me to get inlines now 👏🏼
This is the video I've been looking for! I started rollerblading at the age of 42 so I could keep up withh my at the time, 6 year old daughter whom took to it naturally. Now I have something I can work on while she's shredding the ramps. You guys taught me how to skate, and I thank you for it! Much love.!! ❤️
Just smiling and yes its reallllly funny you great :))) dude its so nice to see after 20 years for me.... really You good teacher. Hi from Czech republic :)
@Ricardo I wish you could make like a check list what a beginner should learn in which order, I feel like I need a step to step, I feel very confident going straight up and down like forward and then going down backwards and that is pretty much it, I can stop enough with a T stop I tried once to ride with the ramp. But I feel like I need goals for each time when I go practicing and I feel like a pro like you could easy make a goal thing for beginners
Good evening Lino i love youre videos but i cant understant the name of the brand of the second pair that you told your wife she can chooose with leather please i want to buy a pair of inline aggressive skates and im lookingfor more brands and deigns before i choose witch one i like more
Are those majestic 12s with an updated soul plate? I haven't skated since the early 2000s and my last pair of skates were the second generation remedy skates they were grey and black! Haha
I cant get over the design of the semi ledge-bank ramp in the background of the learning to grind part! Looks so weird to get into! and seeing that skater needs to get into that by ''dropping in'' but also fall a bit off that ledge curb thing first! wonder why its designed like that 😅
hi ive been watching your videos a wile now and and really like the content. i have a question and hope you can help me out with this. im trying to get my wife some skates but cant seem to find some that fit her. shes a US womans 5. ive looked into the razors loca those seem to be the only ones that makes some in her size but are sold out. do you have any recommendations
great vid - any advice on what size I should get for a pair of Roces M12 skates? I wear US size 11 as my regular shoe size, and am mondo 28 cm. I've been hearing that you should size up a whole size from mondo size, but other have also said size up from your regular shoe size. Thanks for any advice!
Trying not to laugh but its so funny, especcialy the 2 intros 🤣😂🤣😂, i also have the same reaction everytime i go down a ramp (7:38)
Obrigado Dude
shes the bOSS!!
😘

Agreed... 👍
my wife agrees!
Please please please more of these. I think it helps to see an authentic novice learn from you. Janice you rock bad b*tch ...all the way for NYC
Well done Janice 👏👏. It's very unusual to see an older complete beginner aggressive skater, as I was. Thanks for giving it your best and for sharing. Keep going 💪
We got this 😘
This is me. I’m 51 soon and have been skating quads for 40 years but have just got my first pair of aggressive skates 😊
So at 49 years old just trying to get into Quad and Inline, with my wife. Love this video. Great way to teach from scratch. Inspired us to go from flat lines to a skate park.
This is super inspiring for beginners who are afraid to try things out! Thank you so much for this video. Janice kicked ass!

I feel like it helps progressing if you are already comfortable skating backwards. Might be helpful to start there before doing ramps!
you should have named the video title:"How I teach my wife aggressiv skating without being aggressiv" 😂 I really admire your patience 🙂
This made me feel so much better about my anxiety at the skate park! Great video, I love when you include her in your videos!
She actually made it look easier than I feel it would be for me 😂
😘
Perfect! I just started to learn aggressiv too. Yesterday opens a new Skate Park and i ll try my first grinds
I was trying to show some friends how to start and it was a similar experience! Thanks for this Ricardo!
omg more of this!!! GO JANICE
Man, you did a great job!!!! Your wife is not 17))) but has shown a great result. Fighting with fears, achieving goals together! Super great!!!
This has been one of the most adorable videos I've seen in a long time! Kitten memes and you teaching your wife to skate go hand-in-hand. Hahaha
This is a great video. I'm just getting into aggressive skating for the first time, used to skate distance like 20 years ago. This was an amazing opportunity to see how to really start learning how to grind and get used to ramps.

This is so good. I'm just starting out and getting so nervous doing anything at the skate park alone. This is a great motivational video
