Just bought one today. Extremely impressed with fit and finish. Super low action and no buzz. Sounds killer and a pure joy to play.
I just recently bought a les Paul standard t and am wanting one of these as well are you still loving it I would love to hear what you think about it.
Glad to see the thinner tapered horn tips and more early-to-mid-60's style beveling creeping into non-"reissue" guitars. Always makes SG's look so much better.
This seals it for me. SG's are the greatest sounding guitars ever.

This is the first video that introduced me to Chappers, the Captain, and all the gang, and inspired me to become a student of the guitar again after 20 years of just being average. I took delivery of my black SG Standard traditional spec yesterday, and I think I got the single best guitar ever made. I used to want other guitars, but now that seems somewhat frivolous. I still want a Chapman though...
Chappers and The Captain make my day every time there's a new upload. Great reviews, funny commentary, and genuine joy for what they do.

Heritage Cherry has always been the classic color for the SG, but it looks pretty fucking good in black, too, but only with the black pickguard with the white outline. Very badass.

And you're both genuinely good eggs so, who doesn't want to spend more time with good people, great gear and playing? Meh, someone always has something to say.. do what feels right.. I'll watch it anyways :)
I was in the middle of working on a very very important final for a Music Tech class while I was kinda just listening to this video. I dropped my jaw and pencil and pretty much took a break from my final for the remainder of the video when that note was sustained for as long as it was with such consistent tone. Absolutely loved this video.

Got my 2016 trad spec SG Standard just last week and I've been asking myself ever since I got it how I didn't buy one 7 years ago. Anyone watching this and is interested in getting one just save up and get one immediately because they're incredible.
I've never really gassed for an SG before but these new ones look pretty cool, especially the High Performance ones.
They have their own sweet sound
I want the modern SG now. You guys are making my Christmas wish list so long and expensive that I will need to win the lottery. The only thing is that I would have to install a Kahler surface mounted trem on it.

sg style models are so popular, see them all the time in hardcore and punk bands. Jumped on the bandwagon myself and got an sg standard. Now might be a great time to get the 2015 model everyone hates on ;)
Fantastic demo guys. Definitely go for another vid of each of you buying your guitars. The last one of you getting les pauls was great and has been watched heaps of times. Maybe a challenge vid some time on basic (beginner) amp+ pedal rigs that can play bedroom/home volume as well as cope with jam/rehearsals too...would love to see that.
I guess people are complaining about longer videos??? I just want to go on the records that I am good with the banter and fun while getting the info on the products. Keep the 25 minute vids coming!
