This is why I like, how Les Paul Studio looks. It is neutral. Nothing eye-catching, nothing unnecessary. Perfect.

Watching you guys has become an everyday thing for me, it's also helping me to gain knowledge to the specs on guitars, decipher what type of wood the body or neck is made of, pick ups and shizz and also new playing styles for me. I love you guys so much :)

I watch for their banter and the guitars. The jams are necessary but mostly it's the way they spark off each other that keeps me watching.

They keep saying the Les Paul Studio is meant for the studio musician rather than the live performer, but it sounds the same as a Standard, and I have no idea why an audience would think it looks less presentable. Its unadorned appearance is elegant and beautiful.

Loving the 2015 Studio my wife presented me with last week for my 50th Birthday. Up until then I'd only played Charvels, Jacksons, and Ibanez. For such a traditional concept the range of tones is staggering. I just wish I had the fingers to do it justice.

I think I have watched this about 7 times already, lol, mainly because I just ordered one of these beautiful guitars, and while I have watched a lot of your videos. this one is funny and informative as well:) You two make me laugh in a good way, because stats and reviews out there are so lame with data, and either no playing, or not enough data and lame playing. I appreciate the info and the camaraderie that you two have, its always interesting to see and hear what is your vids. So, thanks for that, and also thanks for playing TWO ebony gold hardware studios, which is exactly what I got lol:) Cool stuff!:)

I just received the 2016 Gibson Studio 50's Tribute T in the Gold Top for USD $899 and it is *NICE!* I'm really happy with it. The Gold Top really helps it look more like a Standard, it's just missing that binding around the edge! But it definitely sounds and plays *really great.* I'm enjoying it a lot, although I do hope to get a Standard or a Custom in the relatively near future if I can afford one.

Help! I'm an intermediate guitarist who just is fed up with his 10 watt ibanez practice amp. I play a tiny bit of jazz, quite a bit of blues and hard rock, some metal and I also improvise a lot of Steve Vai sounding stuff. I will often play at my school in the gymnasium on just amp power (and subsequently get drowned out by everyone else.) this year we've played stuff from deep purple to 'all I want for Christmas' I was looking in the demo section of an online Canadian guitar/music store (because I'm not a stickler about my equipment being absolutely mint) and found two amps in the 500$-600$ range. A bugera v55hd infinium 55watt with a 4x12 cab, and a blackstar ht solo 60 combo. I've tried the blackstar and really liked it, but I also like the sound of the bugera on some of the demos I've seen. I would also get a distortion/fuzz/crunch type pedal with the bugera. The question is: which one?

I really pushed the boat out and got the Studio T in ebony, after promising myself if I could stick at learning guitar for 3 years I would upgrade my Epi Standard to a Gibson. I have run it through a Blackstar HT 5 and a Peavey Vypyr VIP 2 and all I can say is - wow. Even through the Vypyr the difference between this and the Epi is massive. It is also incredibly easy to play, it seems to play itself. I am so happy with this guitar. On a clean chan on the BS, volume 3 coil split on the neck gives a beautiful acoustic sound - humbucker on the bridge at volume 7 gives a great crunch, anything higher and into overdrive. The bridge pickup is powerful, the guitar was driving the distortion on the clean chan. Amazing clarity, I thought the neck may be a little muddy, I was surprised that it was not at all. Superb sustain. Great guitar.

+Jacob Peeden All the Les Pauls are more or less the same aside from aesthetics. If you're that particular about the tone, then you can't go wrong with buying aftermarket pickups, even Gibson has them. So don't worry much about the guitar, worry more about the amp. Get something like the JCM here and rest assured you'll have a match made in heaven. It's gonna be hell for your neighbors, but who gives a shit XD

Do you think you guys could start showing us your amp settings. (even if its just during a sweep while you're playing).

The studio has superb jazz tones, I really wanted to know if the standard sounded the same.

    I need help:
When I turn down the tone knob(s) on my Gibson Les Paul ( Studio 2017 high performance) the volume knob becomes incredibly sensitive: It feels way more like an on-off-switch for the pickup as position “10“ is sounding as usual while at position “9“ and below I can hardly hear anything. The Volume just turns down way too early.
The guitar is just a week old, so I am wondering whether this is normal or if I should worry.
A big thanks to anyone who can help me! :D
