I love Toontrack. EZD2 and EZMIX2 are essential in writing, recording and producing my own original music!! Let's face it......even their "worst" sounding snare is much better than most of us had back in the day.
Are some of these drums mix ready? Or close to it? I’ve been looking for something just to drop into my DAW to have some decent sounding demos without worrying about mixing.
@@toontrack I just bought it and noticed there’s will putney and then a toontrack version, are the toon track kits still will putneys kits? And are any of putneys kits processed?
@@punkfreak1414 All presets are based on the source sounds recorded by Putney. The different presets just offer different mixes of the drums so that the user has even more options. Will's presets are mix-ready kits, engineered by Will himself.
Will Putney finally! Huge fan of his work especially since his session with NtM. Also, I know this is a stretch, but any chance you guys get Nolly on board?
This is huge- but I'm wondering if this is going to lead to a lot of Putney copycats with his STL/NTM/HID course that has recently come out, or if it (hopefully) inspires people to find their own sound. I've been obsessed with Machineshop and Graphic Nature for 10 years- these guys constantly had me wondering how they got a certain sound, and are ultimately the reason I got into recording heavy music. Will is essentially handing out over a decade of experience- which is absolutely wild to me that these guys are at the point where they're willing to let some of that go. 20 year old me would be losing his shit right now. Consider contacting Glow In The Dark and Machines With Magnets for future EZX/SDX releases. Lots of cool records and great drum sounds from those places.
@@toontrack but at least some bleed? Or more raw drums than the ones already in there? I'm not asking you to do it but I think it would be a great idea, as the best sdx for metal (death) isn't as versatile in terms of cymbals as others you have.
@@toontrack I have Superior Drummer 3 with all it's bugs that should have been fixed years ago ! I am NOT paying for any Toontrack product again ! Russian Torrents FTW !
Their last few releases have been Big Band Jazz, Cuban Drums, Cuban Percussion, and Eddie Kramer rock. No metal there! They have pop, jazz, funk, country, soul, blues, progressive, classic era rock, modern rock, 70's rock, punk, hip-hop, electronica, etc. What kind of music are you doing that they don't have something in that genre? Lastly, you can apply MIDI from any genre to any kit. Yeah you can use a "metal" kit on a 50's rock track groove. You can mix kits. Or make you own groove on any kit even the two basic kits supplied.
This along with Feldmans Pop Punk EZX are EXACTLY what I need! This is amazing!
Yes dude. I have them both and they’re sooo kick ass!
One of the best metal producers out there

Yes, the presets were designed to mix-ready and to achieve exactly what you mentioned!

\m/ Yessss!

These sound really much like metal foundry. As dry and unprocessed. No double kicks. I dunno but I’m not really convinced here
All that Will Putney treble nobody asked for
doesnt sound any different to any other plugin
Don't we not have enough metal crap from Toontrack !
What would it be like if you focused on music !
Chill dude, if you don't like metal simply don't buy it. Why the hate? Others really like this kind of tone
what a sad dude xD
