I saw the title saying “not really evil” and my first thought was “weren’t his FIRST words in the series ‘look at all those woman and children to devour!’ While looking at some suburb?”
I think it's less that he's "evil" per se, more like he's become a force of nature. He either does or doesn't happen. The only difference is that we're allowed to see and acknowledge his thoughts and sayings.
@@hammerstix5791Having a functioning brain is what makes him evil and not a force of nature. He has the choice to not massacre and eat people, but still chooses to do so because he viewes them as less than human.
@@hammerstix5791that force of nature not evil thing doesn't work for people. It's a cool thing to say but in reality he's evil for sure. He can choose not to do evil things, as proven by his binding vow with Yuji. He just doesn't because he doesn't have to
Because he sees women and children as worm wriggling around. Evil in our eyes, but he doesn't just be evil because he's evil. But because he deems everyone else weak
Bruh what are you yapping about. Sukuna isn't a music artist he's a jujutsu sorcerer. Sukuna was not the one who played special the mappa animators did.😂
It depends on how you guys define what 'evil' is. You judge Sukuna by his action/whatever that is being shown. The video talks about Sukuna on a deeper level, which is how one learn and understand someone's characteristics.
We call him evil because we see him from an human point of view From a chicken point of view we also would call evil to an human farmer raising chicken for meat, if we were curses we wouldn't really say he's evil just a strong dude who is really bored
Billions of people around the globe devoutly believe in various gods that do the same yet consider them the antithesis of good. Jesus Christ can create child bone marrow cancer but Sukuna can devour a village? “Does an ant have a quarrel with a boot?”
@@ashura-nz5xd Seems like ur brain is not braining today...why write nonsense under a video when u haven't even watched it. Technically isn't that the same thing? Like you can't get it right away but once you do you're just gonna add on top of that regardless. No one really stays the same.
"Environment forms personality", Sukuna, Kenjaku and Gojo is on that example i believe, it make me wonder just how tough heian era is for Sukuna and Kenjaku to become like that
@@HeavenlyNekoOfficial "I have lived through this thousand years of tug of war between feuding giants! The capricious alliances and betrayals... of this world of curses" - Kenjaku 🔥🔥🔥
Why would Gojo be on the list then if the modern age sorcery is below the older age? Or geto or any of the others really?? I mean it goes against the environment bit Back then I think it's just a matter that there was more socerors and the understanding of curse energy was better ~ as toji proved you don't need to have CT to kill a sorceror, they had more power back then compared to regular people too, If it was really such a power gap ~ most of our main cast should be dead already compared to the old sorcerors ~ most are holding their own if not excelling. I believe Gino says it best ~ it's a question if talent ~ if you're born with power then you have it and the environment (curse spirit wise) changes to suit and that's why curses became stronger after Gojo was born ~ doesn't seem to be related to anything else really or else hakari, Yuta etc would all be a walk in the park for most people Kenjaku waited for geto to die to try and take his body ~ showing he didn't want to just pull up on him, could be he was scared of Gojo but he had enough time to do it ~ Plus when you see people like Tengen saying that things like domains were more common because most people didn't have sure hit effects kinda drive it home that there's a high possibility that the use of CT in the heinan era could've been like a way of life kinda thing rather than strictly combative which it is in the modern era and also where the need for it is also less in that way as well. Saying this to say there's a lot of stuff to consider.
@@The_Young_Nutmeg Gojo would have become a second Sukuna if Geto wasnt with him Geto taught him a lots , i mean just look at the result of people who clapped after riko death he wants to kill them so bad but Geto stopped him
I instantly fell for the idea of to his character. It's a different approach to build up the main antagonist simultaneously to the protagonist in power.
I actually really like how much of a warrior Sukuna is. He loves putting restrictions on himself and fighting strong people. He lives and thrives because he is selfish. He plays with what amuses him until the day he dies. If he gets defeated, then he genuinely thinks that's valid. I think Gege did a great job with this type of character.
What do you know about back then? As long as humans were alive hurting something that is weak or cannot defend themselves was distasteful. This is shown all across the world from different times too. What you said is something a psycho would think about.
one of the reasons i enjoy jjk is simply the whole ''inner demon'' theme in anime. 9 tails in naruto. hollow in ichigo in bleach etc. they tend to see and accept eachother and rely on eachother to overcome things where with jjk it feels like a genuine inner demon
People just don't want to accept sukuna took Megumi's body for himself just because of how disgusted he is in the idea of megumi being weak even though real power is at his fingertips As far as sukuna is concerned megumi doesn't deserve his life
Even if Megumi was using his CT differently, sukuna would've still taken his body, he was interested in Megumi from the start when he realized he had 10 shadows and the fact that he can't actually take over yuji's body, had nothing to do with Megumi being "weak", he made it clear he had plans for him, if he thought he didn't deserve his life he would've just killed him
Sukuna grew up in a world where strength is all that matters, he was turned into the absolute monster he is, and now he fully embraces it bcuz he sees it helped him succeed and survive
I don't know about you but Sukuna is like a Bloodlusted person that got insane with power, he only lives to fight strong people and fight the ones he thinks deserve to die, we don't know about Sukuna past not even a traumatic even in his life would justify he having beef with every creature that lives or breath dammit
@@gabrielduarte-vj9mm believe me I ain't a sukuna supporter lol but it specifically states that the world was at its peak of JJ power an stuff, and there were tons of very powerful and evil sorcerers, everyone was battling and fighting and I think it's safe to assume that sukuna growing up in a time like that thought only of power bcuz that's what was needed to survive and it ultimately turned him evil. In my original comment never denied he's filled with bloodlust, I only tried to find reason behind it, and the reason I found seems probable. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
battery, assault, multiple counts of attempted murder (gojo), multiple accounts of first, second, and third degree murder, extortion, homicide, two accounts of identity theft, bribery, and kidnapping (megumi) are just a few of the charges sukuna would have 😀
Wow before people were burning (witches with no repercusion and sacrificing children and it was pretty normal you just have to think more deep and you start to understand how fck up was the heian era
One of the 1st things Sukuna said when he took over Yuji's body for the 1st time was ask where the women and children were ,that they were crawling like maggots and it would be a massacre... When Yuji, Megumi and Kugisaki were at the school trying to beat a special grade curse , Sukuna also motioned to that curse to follow him. He said "Let's go kill some kids" before that curse tried to kill him instead. I think this indicates why he said what he did about the women and children at first because ofc he views them as weak. Women and children generally are weaker and it just started making sense to me now lol. It's funny to me that a lot of JJK, or should I say, Sukuna fans like to write romance fantasies about Sukuna and usually they'll depict him as having dozens of concubines when I think it's more realistic that he would kill any woman, unless they were actually super strong to make him respect them.
Sukuna is pure evil. He's the worst kind of indulgence personified and granted immense strength. He's a Yujiro Hanma who is even more sadistic and unhinged. He fights not for any ideology or purpose; he kills and tortures purely for his own twisted enjoyment. He's as evil as it gets in almost every framework. He doesn't even have the excuse of being a curse, where they are simply born that way due to being made of pure negativity; he's human(as evidenced by his use of RCT). Sukuna CHOSE to be the way that he is
You said Sukuna never worried about being defeated but in my opinion if that’s true then he wouldn’t have felt that it was necessary to take over Megumi to get his 10 Shadows technique to beat Gojo. That seems to tell me he was concerned Gojo might actually beat him without that technique.
Exactly! He made many mistakes, first of all b sukuna doesn't care about titles yet he kills anyone that doesn't kneel the way he wants them to 😂 and second :he doesn't care if he dies when he's the one that tries to survive no matter how 😂 sukuna is nothing but an insecure b*tch
We need to know how Sukuna got to know True jujutsu How did he get double boundless curse energy How does he know the ways of everyone's CT from one hit
The only thing that’s stated about his cursed energy is that he gained his vast amounts by eating people, which can increase CE and it’s noted he’s a cannibal

Thanks for hyping him up man. W vid. His character dynamic with both gojo and yuji make it really unpredictable who should defeat him. I hope gege gives him a befitting ending.
Yuji and Gojo jump Sukuna, each going crazy with black flash after black flash, with Yuji ascending to special grade as he is able to manifest Sukunas technique.
In our society, having more kindness or empathy only makes you more valuable to other persons but not to society neither to enterprises, there only power matters.
Another often overlooked part of Sukina's character is how he never compres himself to others. Gojo calls himself the enlightened one, but for Sukuna the narrator itself calls Sukuna the honored one
@gijsarmando This is in the anime yes, but if you read the manga (Chapter 30) you will see that the narrator is the one that says this. The anime changed it for some reason since they did not use a narrator for S1, but they did use one for S2. We get further confirmation it is the narrator and not Nanami's thoughts through the mention that Sukuna is only interested in Megumi which is something NOBODY could know at this point
It's funny when Sukuna calls Yuji "weak" when Yuji is easily more resilient and mentally strong than him. I have no doubts that if Sukuna was put through what Yuji was he would give up. He would not have the will to live after he was proven to be weak by someone else. This is why Yuji is a good main character. He pushes forward and always goes all out for his goal.
I don't think Sukuna deems anything as good or evil ; Instead, it's just how everything SHOULD be. Sukuna decides who should die and who should live just like how humanity decides which animal to keep(ex: dog, cat) and which animal to slaughter(ex: chicken, cow..). Those animal do not give human the right to kill them, but human still decide for them. It's not because it's right or wrong, simply because human is the strongest animal on this planet, and there's nothing these animal can do to stop human. Just like there's no sorcerers strong enough to stop Sukuna from "cooking/eating" them.
When it comes to Sukuna’s thought process there’s what he’s confronted with “placement of morals” and his belief “the placement of wills”. Sukuna doesn’t identify with morals only Wills, the want to do whatever you want because you can so you do it, there is no room for anything else because it isn’t physically it’s ethereal an idea, words with no action behind them.
Brah you k ow what right and wrong he will a kill a baby for fun lol he dont care. Has nothing to do with cats and dogs being meat or not. Super man also strongest and goku but they dont kill kids for meat and fun get outta here with this dumb comment bro sukuna is a pyscopath and a demon making pacts wiyh evil for power.
If sukuna does turn out to have a different cursed technique and store and house multiple from eating people. Then perhaps he can change the very nature of his malevolent shrine. Say for example with his fire arrow. He can make a firey domain with it. Since we know domain expansion are just cursed techniques with barriers
I realy enjoy how he is true to his character and is unrelenting in his belief that "might equals right" because like the fox in naruto, that we were told was evil, and killed people, ultimately was misunderstood and i see alot of villians going this route, but with sakuna he is fundamentally different and adverse to to our protagonist and is something they must overcome i can appreciate JJK for sticking to that, in any other series sakuna would have been a reforms bad guy by chapter 100 and then Nerfed for plot reasons.
What you said about Sukuna at the begin about how people view him is still true and accurate. It's the best way to explain him if someone ask you describe him in a few words. There is layers to his characters when studying him but if I had to summarize him. He was someone who was once a man but became a monster as he chooses power, strenght and victory. Yuji was never on his level and it was clear as he never play any mind to him during that fight against him and Maki. Yuji and Maki are still alive thanks to Megumi's soul holding Sukuna's powers back. There is something that Sukuna does show and that's showing some respect to others.
Sukuna to Jogo : " I'll work under you for a while if you land a single blow on me " ...( inaccurate subtitles) soon after he butchered Geto's subordinate
Didint the dude played red light green light with a bunch of sorcerors when there a METEOR coming straight for them? Sukuna LOVES to play with his toys
Omw tysm for the character analysis. Ever since Sukuna appeared in the anime I've been so curious about his backstory and what made him the way he is now. Also thank you for not including any spoilers about the fight lol , spoilers are all over tik tok so I already know what's gonna happen even though i haven't read the manga. Because of that smh. Great video
I love this video and am totally down for as much Sukuna analysis as possible. I would like to possite some of my own thoughts on the topic of Sukuna's philosophy and view of the jujistu world. Theres a decent amount of stuff from the latter end of the Gojo fight and the Kashimo battle that were not around when the video released, but i think they are useful when reflecting on Sukuna's actions. I primarly disaagree on the idea that Sukuna subscribes to a might makes right mentality, and would like to put forth the idea that even though he obviously values power, he is ultimatly defined by his selfishness. We can see in the series that selfishness is fundemnatally intrinsic to being a strong sorcerer and nobody appitomizes this more than Sukuna. This can be seen in the line where Sukuna states suprise that someone as strong as Gojo is not the ruler of his organization, but i do not believe he says this because he believes might justifies his actions. He fundemnatally doesnt believe in "just" actions at all, he only sees actions as the things people do to satisfy their own desires, and he does not judge others for the morallity of their actions. He believes that it is this selfishness and ambition that makes people strong, and so he is suprised when someone with the ambition to be as strong as Gojo doesnt also have the ambition to subjugate those around them. This ultimately manifests in his views on the weak and their role in the world. Like you mentioned in this video he speaks alot on the weak and how their destany is to be squashed, but i dissagree on the idea that they deserve it for being weak. As the embodyment of selfishness Sukuna is not concerned with the actions of other or why they choose to do what they do. Thats why he states he does not care what happens to him when he is defeated. Becuase he knows that he would not stand to be subjugated. He states to Kashimo that he would never be satisified by having a curse technique that could only be used once, and would do everything in his power to find another way. To this end he believes that the week are destined to be squashed not because they deserve to be for being weak, but because due to being weak will ultimatly be squashed by the ambitions of the strong. Ultimately his selfishness is not arrogant, but self serving, and we can see that he respects those who do all they can in search of their own ambitions. Gojo, Kashimo, and Jogo are ultimately the best examples of this as through their interactions Sukuna shares his knowlege and wisdom to those seeking it. He does not look down on Jogo for being weak, but respects him for his efforts, and uses his final moments to fufill Jogo and help him find peace and realize exactly what it was he was searching for. He states as much at the end of his battle with Kashimo. That there are many who come to him searching for validation through conflict with him. If it is not love to provide them with the battle they desire, than he doesnt know what is. Ultimately Sukuna is a selfish and ambitious hedanist who belives it is these traits that lead to power, and that power that will give him the ability to take what he wants, when he wants it. He does not seek to justify his actions to others and does not seek to justify the actions of others to himself. He is not arrogant becuase arrogance is built on the idea that you have more value than others. He simply doesnt care what others think of what he does, and respects the actions of those that he sees as making them sucsessful in following their ambitions. That is who Sukuna is, and why he hates Yuji. Yuji sees the world fundemnatally differently and has ambitions that Sukuna cannot understand. He is the only sorcerer Sukuna cannot understand, and because of that he sees him as stupid. He believes Yuji is naive and simple minded, and because of that he believes he lacks the fundemental characterisitics of a powerful sorcerer. That us ultimately why Yuji will be the one to defeat Sukuna. Thank you for coming to my tead talk
I wonder if Gojo is the strongest person Sukuna has fought up to this point, or if there were a few Heian Era sorcerers that would be considered Gojo's peers. Not many, of course, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were several with better raw stats. Even if they lose to Infinity.
i doubt it, it seems like Sukuna won because he has Mahoraga from 10 Shadows (it protected him when Gojo went for the kill and Sukuna was stunned). if he fought someone as strong as Gojo back in Heian he probably would have been exorcised
He actually did and much more in the heian era. Even angels as well. We still don't know the full scope of how powerful he is and even though I hate how the gojo fight went, it just makes too much sense that he would win even with gojo hurting him via purple.
“Not really evil” *me after just witnessing shibuya get fucking annihilated and seeing Sukuna murdering like 5 people because they took a breathe without asking him first*
The way I have always seen Sukuna is that he is beyond out understanding of morality. To the point where he sees himself as a seperate entity beyond the classification of "human" or "cursed spirit" amd only sees himself as, well, himself.
Why can't we just have a villian that does what he does simply for his own pleasure without having some specific reason as to why one becomes what they are like 90% villians in shounen anime
You know, when Sukuna asks Yuji "Why are you weak". It kinds sound like Sukuna, Gege the author, and we the audiences are questioning, why can't Yuji or humans in general be more cooler, be more braver, be more stronger.
He is evil, and not necessarily evil. That's the point of his character. He cares more about strength and it's what he lives for. His beliefs are beyond moral judgement and his moralities lie on strength. For him, weakness is sin and strength is the blesssing.
Sukuna walked back to all the destruction he caused, disintegrating an entire city so that it would be the first thing itadori saw when he took back control is proof he can't be anything else but evil 😂
Sukuna does what he wants,he doesn't care for anyones opinion or if whatever he wants is good or evil,if he wants it he will get it,and no one can disprove him of that,if they do they die,he is definitely one of the most evil villains we have seen in anime generally, but from his perspective he doesn't care for such things,as he cares for his own needs
Yo I loved the vídeo, you put all the thoughts and ideas I had about the character in a single vídeo, thats why sukuna is my favorite character, he isnt just evil, he has his own way of living, and that way of living is being the strongest, because the stronger is the one who rules, and because of that, Sukuna was the one who ruled in his time
When he says he's not really evil he means he's not traditionally evil the way we define it under our values. Sukuna operates on a completely different paradigm than the rest. Just like the line from Kusakabe "two elephants are tap dancing around some ants" what's an ant's existence to something so vastly different?
something when he was a human made him this way, but then when he became a curse, only negative attributes stayed (due to curses being made from negative emotion) and never went or looked back, and became a cold, thing of near pure evil, this is especially reinforced from what he tells jogo, how he should have destroyed everything, forgetting everything until he reached gojo. Showing how evil he has really become WOW what an amazing villain
Sukuna is defined by his strength - He is Sukkuna because he is the strongest. I think he is parallel to Gojo who is "the strongest because he is Satoru Gojo"
i took it to mean there would be no point in him giving any conditions if he loses cos he'd already be dead. there was no guarantee Yorozu would honour any conditions he made and he would still be dead. plus he still has that last finger if the rest of them die so i don't think he cared about the body. I think Sukuna just genuinely didn't give a damn about what would happen should he die
"Absolute strength and the solitude that comes along with it!! The one who will teach you about love is..." Sukuna and Gojo both are at the pinnacle of Jujutsu world yet otherwise are lonely in the end. Two sides of the same coin.
The only difference. Gojo accepts his loneliness and wants the new generation to be on par with him so he would not be alone or them. Sukuna still wants to stay at the top regardless of the loneliness. He fills that loneliness with large massacre and quest for more power and battles. That's why this battle is also more than just prove of power. It's also a battle of ideology. Staying on the mountain top alone or being with peers
@user-myraklejnr but there can only be one at the pinnacle. That's why gojo loses ideologically and literally to sukuna. When you try to lift others to your level, you aren't climbing higher. Sukuna will always attempt to grow stronger and push himself to his limits. Sukuna doesn't even think about the loneliness that the others ponder endlessly. As it serves no purpose to grow his power or enjoy himself more. Ironically sukuna is the one accepting of the loneliness and what comes next as gojo, kashimo, toji and anyone else are still stuck on that loneliness while sukuna is far beyond that
We still don't know much about his backstory. But perhaps he and angel belong to some type of good order or organization and what led to Sukuna's corruption. Perhaps he used to do good things but his efforts were either not appreciated or fruitless/meaningless or perhaps he was kind of like Geto. Geto used to care for the weak and always take it as his duty to protect them, but after some shit he realized that it's a worthless and shitty endeavor that's why he despised the weak the same way Sukuna despises those who are weak, like why do they exist only to be a burden. The only difference is that Geto did not grow careless as he still cares for some people but Sukuna totally lost his shit, he now only does what he feels like doing.
Maybe they both worshipped tegen and guy said one day fuck that after talking to kenjaku because tegen doesn't do anything with unlimited power wether its protecting people, saving them or anything else, which is the same as being weak to him so he just went his own way for world domination and search for strenght ~ even possible immortality by becoming a curse object to sorta mimic Tengen who is actually immortal
I'd love a series with Sukuna as the MC getting slowly corrupted until the last season, where all of his friends, allies, and enemies team up to try and stop him as he rampages across Japan
Sukuna is the truest expression of self mastery and living through the soul rather than the flesh, and connecting with the divine center in our being. Sukuna doesn't concern himself with humanity and its concepts of living because it offers no value to his being. Which by proxy means he doesn't concern himself with social norms, values, morals, seeing as he disregards humanities ideas of right and wrong and emotions like love that find meaning through relationships because he is has achieved self mastery. To achieve mastery of the self, one has to have an understanding and acceptance of themselves, as its the only way to gain the truest form of love, which is the unflinching love of self. Which is where his perceived arrogance comes from. Then after self love comes self transformation, which in Sukuna’s case can be seen through his physical body. In JJK the soul is abstract and has many theories regarding it, but one constant we’ve seen is that the body, mind, and soul are connected. Sukuna has an altered body specifically built for the practical use of jujutsu, which I believe to be a result of his soul resonating with and changing his body for his drive/purpose. Sukuna has demonstrated the power that comes with living with and for his purpose exclusively, which is to be the strongest and to continuosly expand his knowledge and the limits of jujutsu. To somone like Sukuna the betrayal of oneself and their purpose is to live in defiance of the divine center that resides in the soul, and is easily to worst form of death. Which can be seen in scenes where Sukuna gives advice to the strong. Jogo, after experiencing defeat at the hands of Satoru Gojo and seeing the peaks of sorcery he's yet to achieve placed a cap on his potential to reach the heights of sorcery. We see that Jogo wants to take the place of humans in the world, a jealousy that directly betrays his divine center and his desire and value of strength while showing his feelings of inferiority to the beings he shares the earth with, which he never confronted until his fight with Sukuna, in which Sukuna told him that he should have burned everything in his way to the ground. Those things in the way being his mental barriers and limitations. Kashimo, after standing atop a mountain of sorcerers during his era had his soul split between his desire to be strong and his human yearning for love and adoration through a connection to other people, which placed a cap on his potential for strength as well. Before ending his life Sukuna says that Kashimo being as strong as he is, and fulfilling the desires of other curse users and sorcerers alike is the ultimate show of compassion and love as he allowed them to give their all to him without being restricted. So the compassion and love Kashimo lacked was for himself. He couldn't chose to accept that his desire for strength would leave him lonely. And dwelling on these feelings is a direct betrayal of Kashimos purpose and divine center. Deciding not to held captive by human laws, values, morals, and emotions as well as his unrivaled self mastery are what separates Sukuna from humanity but also from cursed spirits
Sukuna is two faced, one face completely chaotic and deva like, and the other face an inhuman machine which process every single action with great detail, this really shows how much of a god he sees himself as, he does whatever he wants cause he thinks he can, and he has kept his word on it
I don't think Gojo is the type to rely on others Like he told Megumi ~ to swing for fences, that's his personality, he's the type tp stand alone and do it himself He very much belives in his strength and that strength is everything Their biggets different in personality is that one fights to protect (gojo due that whole bromance going wrong over a girl) and one fights to destroy, other thab that, Sukuna and gojo are very similar personality wise
We really don't know enough about sukuna tbh, but I like the vid and your description of his personality, I'm just iffy on comparison of the personality of Gojo and Sukuna ~ besides what they're willing to fight for ~ they may aswell be the same person 🤷🏾♂️ Neither thinks in losing, as Gojo told toji, he should've killed him ~ Sukuna would do the same as he told Gojo, burn everything, and if he should lose he dies, if he doesn't die he's just going to get stronger and kill w.e stopped him Just saying... They're both lunatics
@@The_Young_Nutmeg Sukuna's first words upon resurfacing via Yuji at the beginning of the story were something like ‘look at all those woman and children to devour!’. Regardless of his past, it should be clear as day that he's evil.
Nah, I don't think they are the same. They have similarities but one crucial difference that they have is that Gojo at least now relies to other and believes one's own strength is not enough to change the world. Remember why he choose to teach instead of killing the higher ups? Exactly, he can choose strength alone but did not and decided education and relationship is what trumps it.
Sukuna is definetely enlightened. He overcame nihilism found meaning of existence in himself, in essence he became his own god. What is there not to like about sukuna (or mahito for that matter who is very similar) ? (Admired from safety)
I ran into this channel sort of at random, and I just wanted to say I'm impressed. I really enjoy well thought out analyzations like what you provide. I've binge watched several of the JJK focused ones. I was thoroughly won over by the first season because I thought the animation for the fight sequences was jaw dropping. I loved the characters and the story arcs as well, but your videos have given a whole new spectrum to the series. I've only ever watched the anime, and I'm not even fully through that, so I have thoroughly spoiled portions of the story (my fault, not yours. Its not the first time I've done it and it won't be the last) but I am so stoked to rewatch what I've gine through already and watch what's to come with all the things you've said in mind
So because his philosophy is 'might makes right' that prevents him from being evil? I mean what evil and good are, are purely subjective, but one's personal philosophy doesnt exempt them from being evil or labeled or view as such. Sukuna may not view himself as evil, but righteous, because hes the strongest; but judgement of a characters qualities does not stop at personal views and philosophies, but also takes count of actions. Based on modern society and the general moral compass of modern society (speaking from US perspective) he's most definitely evil. His disregard for weaker beings in pursuit of power can also be viewed as evil in it of itself. He slaughters a vast majority of Shibuya, actively tortures Yuji and gains pleasure from it. He'll slaughter anyone for any measely reason or because he feels like it. Simply because his actions and philosophies couldve been regular and/or normal during the Heian era, doesnt exempt him from being classified as evil. He's intelligent enough to recognize the vast differences between modern society and his own during the HE, and in the face of a more peaceful world, instead of adjusting, he actively despises it and chooses to continue in his own path. That can very easily be considered evil. All that being said though, like i mentioned in the beginning, what is 'good' and 'evil' are subjective from the start
Yeah not evil but there was no one to put him at his place, because he the goat. Sukuna is actually very kind and humble for being the strongest for like 1000 years. He isn't just straight madness. Why would Gojo be on the list then if the modern age sorcery is below the older age? Or geto or any of the others really??
I mean it goes against the environment bit
Back then I think it's just a matter that there was more socerors and the understanding of curse energy was better ~ as toji proved you don't need to have CT to kill a sorceror, they had more power back then compared to regular people too,
If it was really such a power gap ~ most of our main cast should be dead already compared to the old sorcerors ~ most are holding their own if not excelling.
I believe Gino says it best ~ it's a question if talent ~ if you're born with power then you have it and the environment (curse spirit wise) changes to suit and that's why curses became stronger after Gojo was born ~ doesn't seem to be related to anything else really or else hakari, Yuta etc would all be a walk in the park for most people
Kenjaku waited for geto to die to try and take his body ~ showing he didn't want to just pull up on him, could be he was scared of Gojo but he had enough time to do it ~
Plus when you see people like Tengen saying that things like domains were more common because most people didn't have sure hit effects kinda drive it home that there's a high possibility that the use of CT in the heinan era could've been like a way of life kinda thing rather than strictly combative which it is in the modern era and also where the need for it is also less in that way as well.

*You DON'T Understand Sukuna.*
Yes, clearly you don't...
Never seen such complete garbage packed in a video in my life.

Sukuna's mindset makes me think of Nietzschean master morality. Like you said, he has a fundamentally different understanding of good and evil.
When he says he's not really evil he means he's not traditionally evil the way we define it under our values. Sukuna operates on a completely different paradigm than the rest. @ThatManSosa 😭
Foolish behaviour of humans.
@@ThatManSosa it's so sad
Bro made a sukuna video now ain’t no way people won’t talk bout it 😭🙏
Sukuna and Esdeath would be either enemies who respect each other’s ideology or frienemies
"Not really evil"
didn't this mf kill everyone in shibuya while laughing maniacally?
Sukuna is defined by his strength - He is Sukkuna because he is the strongest. I think he is parallel to Gojo who is "the strongest because he is Satoru Gojo"
People really thought this was a kurama situation🤣🤣🤣
Sukuna is better compared to a sentient hurricane.
He's not good. He's not evil.
He simply...
Can.
I think what is meant by deafeat = death against yorozu, is that he won't ever accept defeat unless he is killed.
i took it to mean there would be no point in him giving any conditions if he loses cos he'd already be dead. there was no guarantee Yorozu would honour any conditions he made and he would still be dead. plus he still has that last finger if the rest of them die so i don't think he cared about the body. I think Sukuna just genuinely didn't give a damn about what would happen should he die
I love the format of these videos. It's the perfect blend of mood, information and humour.
To be honest, I see Sukuna as an evil version of Gojo. Both are strange types with narcissistic personality disorder and immense power.
this video is sponsored by "Sukuna"
Bro, I just want to see yuji hysterically laughing like a villain.
"Absolute strength and the solitude that comes along with it!! The one who will teach you about love is..."
Sukuna and Gojo both are at the pinnacle of Jujutsu world yet otherwise are lonely in the end.
Ironically sukuna is the one accepting of the loneliness and what comes next as gojo, kashimo, toji and anyone else are still stuck on that loneliness while sukuna is far beyond that
@@user-myraklejnractually gojo doesnt accept his loniless sukuna on the other hand doesnt care ....
9:36 sad reality of our society is that the more wealth, fame and influence you have is what gives you more value
Sukuna makes himself look like a force of nature, when he's actually just a selfish man that abandoned his humanity a long time ago.
@@tatersalad76Just like Eren Yeager(But far better writing)
Stop d riding lil bro
@@JulianHill-xd4bt you took the time out of your day to reply to my comment. Get off my dick
@@JulianHill-xd4bt your names Julian, get out my replies 🤣
Sukuna is two faced, one face completely chaotic and deva like, and the other face an inhuman machine which process every single action with great detail, this really shows how much of a god he sees himself as, he does whatever he wants cause he thinks he can, and he has kept his word on it
I need Sukana and Hollow Ichigo to meet for a conversation on their strength ideals than square up for battle.
Sukuna isn't evil
People in Shibuya: "Nuh-uh!"
I don't think Gojo is the type to rely on others
Like he told Megumi ~ to swing for fences, that's his personality, he's the type tp stand alone and do it himself
He very much belives in his strength and that strength is everything
Their biggets different in personality is that one fights to protect (gojo due that whole bromance going wrong over a girl) and one fights to destroy, other thab that, Sukuna and gojo are very similar personality wise
We really don't know enough about sukuna tbh, but I like the vid and your description of his personality, I'm just iffy on comparison of the personality of Gojo and Sukuna ~ besides what they're willing to fight for ~ they may aswell be the same person 🤷🏾♂️
Neither thinks in losing, as Gojo told toji, he should've killed him ~ Sukuna would do the same as he told Gojo, burn everything, and if he should lose he dies, if he doesn't die he's just going to get stronger and kill w.e stopped him
Just saying... They're both lunatics
"Bromance gone wrong over a girl" is such wild phrasing 💀💀💀
@@The_Young_Nutmeg Sukuna's first words upon resurfacing via Yuji at the beginning of the story were something like ‘look at all those woman and children to devour!’.
Regardless of his past, it should be clear as day that he's evil.
@@nickmotion good point ~ personally I wonder if he meant it literally 🥲 or did he just mean that he'd kill them
Nah, I don't think they are the same. They have similarities but one crucial difference that they have is that Gojo at least now relies to other and believes one's own strength is not enough to change the world. Remember why he choose to teach instead of killing the higher ups? Exactly, he can choose strength alone but did not and decided education and relationship is what trumps it.
W title bro that was a high IQ play from you
Hero 🗣️🔥
Underrated channel u bound to become huge, fire vid
Appreciate you gang 🙏🏽🙏🏽🫡
Man enjoys things here and there. I wonder who will make the difference. Yuji ? After all this buildup there has literally been nothing.
I hope he awakens his own cursed techniques since Sukuna went away, or maybe a similar one. It would be stretched, but what else gonna happen. Sukuna wont stop out of boredom
amazing video bro, i never even tried to look from sukuna's perspective
Very well done explained I do believe this analogy as Sukuna does represent past whilst Gojo represents the present reminds me of All for one / one for All
its sorta something both half to fight to correct each other on and in an emotional way once you read the chapter including them both …
I love how you added a hellsing ultimate ost, this ones literally one of my favourites from the anime.
This is a peak video❤❤
this is an amazing analysis, and the editing is great - awesome video!!

Well too bad I'm the one who made this video and not you 😭💔

@@1hundred1 a very miss leading thumb nail sir.
The tone when he explained that only 6% are subscribed made me want to pat him in the head😂. I subscribed anyway 😅
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Before I even watch this, Sukuna is 100% an evil being even with some of the ideals we've come to realize he has.
His brand of evil is very chaotic, he doesn't have some grand plan of villainy (as far as we know), he just does whatever fulfills him and a LOT of that involves the pain and suffering of others which is textbook evil
