- Here's the one thing every PS5 Slim user should be checking at least once a year to prevent performance issues, loud fan noise, and slowing down over time.. I show you step-by-step how to EASILY clean your PlayStation 5 Slim Console and keep it running like new condition. Use microfiber always to prevent your PS5 from turning into a PS4 or PS3 all scratched up.. You might know how to clean the original PS5, however the PS5 Slim is very different! If you do this once a year you will be glad you did because it prevents damage to the PS5 Slim over time! The things you will need to are a microfiber towel, Torx T8 screwdriver, needle nose pliers, air duster, & vacuum hose attachment. Follow these instructions & as always, be careful any time you clean your PS5!

The first step is to lay the PS5 face down with the power disconnected & remove the PS5 console cover right above the disc drive. Then use a Torx T8 screwdriver to remove the cooling fan. Then, use a pair of needle-nose pliers to carefully disconnect the fan. Now lift the cooling fan from the PlayStation 5 and use an air duster to remove any build up. Make sure to never use an air duster on the PS5 exterior cooling vents as it will force more dust deeper into the system to the point you will have to take apart the PS5 to remove it! Next, make sure to vacuum out the dust catcher, the cooling fan housing, and exterior vents to get any excess dust from the PS5 Slim. Then reassemble the fan and reattach the console cover. Make sure you are only using a microfiber towel to clean the exterior black trim as it scratches very easily just like the original PS4 or even the PS3..

🔥 🔥 🔥 NEVER EVER use a vacuum to clean any video game systems, TVs, speakers or Electronics of any kind!... vacuums generate high amounts of static electricity while in operation and have a high possibility of shocking or damaging your electronics... trust me I found out the hard way decades ago and wish somebody had given me this warning! 👏🔥🔥🔥
Ahhh yeah, I never use some sort of vacuum cleaner either as I end up using a bunch of paper towels and napkins instead....Thanks for the heads up about it, I have forgotten about that possibility of damaging your electronics via static electricity.

not true. i been using a vacuum to clean my ps4 and ps5 for many years now. nothing never happens. just make sure you unplug everything.. including the power cord

@@Tidus_Simms It depends on how much I use, but if I'm not able to clean that much with one or two pieces of it, then for me it would be best to take it somewhat apart. I do have a photography cleaning kit so if I need to use it I can use that instead.

Shinny plastic will always gonna get dust dents and scratch no matter what you do as overtime everything becomes old. All we can do is out bit..

I have a OG PS5 disc version and I got it in December of 2021 and I just started having a problem where some usb ports work others don’t or all of them work but at different times and it’s super annoying I would really appreciate it if you make a video with ALL methods to fix usb ports on ps5. warranty?
No you don't lose your warranty. That's why sony made it easier to clean your fan so that you don't have to really go deep in the console to clean it and potentially damage something else. If you just open the fan part you'll be fine.

@@sukhifigo because in order to lose your ps5 warranty, you have to remove this warranty sticker which isn't located in the fan area. Removing it will make you lose your warranty. The fan isn't part of it, it's separated and sony made it easier to remove and clean the fan without losing the warranty. Unlike in ps4 you'd have to remove the warranty sticker first before getting to the fan or any other part. You can google it and you'll see by yourself.
@@sukhifigo Opening up a console should never void the warranty, unless you break something. You can basically take the whole console apart, and as long as you don't damage anything. it will not avoid anything.

Don't do it u can break conector, just use vacuum and vacuum that holes when u remove plastic covers
also keep ur PS5 horizontally cuz with time the Liquid Metal will leak out if it is put vertically
The ps5 is the ultimate disastrous disappointment to ever come out of Sony. All this work, all the headaches, and not mention the disastrous controllers.
I've never had to do any of this with my ps3 or ps4. Never had any problems with either system...but the ps5 is riddled with soooo many issues!

It depends upon when you place your console ... If you're room is too dusty then it will suck up dusk in just a month starts over heating ... Else twice / thrice a year is more than enough
None of this shit is necessary.. just use a vacuum hose and that's all you need. my ps5 slim stays clean

Hi but my problem is, is that I don't have any internal clog as my system is fairly new, but recently when I boot up PS5 games I get the temperature Alert warning. It's not even hot to the touch. It's properly ventilated as well. Does anyone have a solution please?

I've only had my ps5 slim for a few months now and sometimes when I play demanding games like mw3 and dead space the fan ramps up all the way until I get a overheating message, but it doesn't shut off. I press ok and the fans slow down and lets me resume playing. Has anyone had this issue?
