I've seen quite a few comments asking me to make a cleaning video for the Xbox Series X. I already have! Here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/dKJ2ATvKKAs/v-deo.html
Oh no steve! Ive js heard you had cancer?? Youve got this man,you really thought me alot about gaming consoles and how to repair them! I want to learn more from you! All the best for your recovery ❤❤
I hope your doing very well my friend, I'm so thankful to still get videos so often! I've been watching for nearly 7 years now and have learned a LIMITLESS amount of information from all of your videos! 😊
you are the only channel on that i don't skip the advertisement because i know you deserve every cent for your content and especially for the fight againt the disease. i love you man.
This guy taught me how to repair my consoles and make some money out of my hobby, I didn't check the account for a couple of months and now I come back and see him like this, it's heartbreaking :( I hope you'll get well soon, Steve.
I've been watching your video for a long while now but never commented. You have many strangers who are pulling for your health recovery. God Bless you 🙏
As someone, who had to took apart his whole PS4 Pro several times over the years, just to clean it properly, I'm again stunned and thankful about how much Sony improved in their consoldesign. So that keeping dust out, or even just checking the heatsink, isn't pure pain anymore.
it's always nice seeing a device got a proper teardown and reassembled, it gives a unique insight on how the device is designed. my childhood was GBA era and I had no idea how it works, I just know it's a game device that I must own 😅. fast-forward till now, it's amazing how ps5 managed to perform that much with just a box design. it just amazed me to see how things work, how all the parts were interconnected and well designed it is, especially the more modular disc drive. I just cleaned mine a week ago after 6 months of use, it is dusty. took the fan off and clean using brush. looked clean again.
Thanks to watching your videos over the years I have now started to take apart and fully replace thermal paste and liquid metals on my own, I did my PS5 last week!
It's been a minute since I've watched one of your videos, I'm not current on what happened but I can guess. It's good to see you're still at it. If you ever need a hand just let me know, you've taught me a few tricks and I wouldn't mind repaying the favor. My best for you and your's.
Why is vacuuming the ‚getting really crazy‘ method? I think that the tool every nonprofessional thinks of first. Also, is there a reason why you specifically recommend a mini vacuum? Just in case someone doesn’t have small nozzles for its vacuum? Or is a regular one to strong?
Thank you for this tutorial, I like to clean my own counsels. I live next to train tracks and a Pepsi warehouse with about 30 tractors running around. It gets very dusty in the house. So I clean all my counsels about every 3 months. Thanks again Steve
You forgot to mention BW-100's unique super power: it doesn't conduct electricity, so it's safe for things like phones that can't easily have power removed! Thanks again, and best wishes.
Followed your advice step by step and did the stage 3 cleaning, PS5 definitely needed it, and it went smoothly… Dusting out these system is like an oil change for a car, you gotta do it or it’s not gonna last as long … Appreciate the simple easy to follow video !
Hello i just wanted to say your videos inspired me to open my own workshop !! Day 3 gotta keep going Thank you so much for all the effort you do and the entertainment you provide !! Hope you are doing well i wish you all the best ❤
A little worried to proceed with the later stages, but I got the confidence to do some basic cleaning. Every little helps! Thank you for this video, I’ll certainly come back to it whenever I feel the Ps5 needs a deeper clean.
Just did cleaning on my phat PS5 yesterday too.. just nice u uploaded a PS5 cleaning video! All I can say from this video is that the slim is much more easier to work with than the phat version 💪💪💪
this is the best video ever about cleaning the ps5. I was kinda worried about even taking off the covers coz they take some force and i didnt wanna break em but your vid really helped me take em apart and put em back in place. Didnt need to do stage 3 cleaning but i kept watching anyways 😂
I originally used a Ryobi leaf blower ( just the small one ) and its always worked fine but seeing how easy a stage 2 clean i can retire my leaf blower, the console has a 5yr warranty and in the UK they wont honour it if the security seal is damaged. Keep up the good work and im happy that your hair is starting to grow back.
Its been a while since I've seen one of your videos. I think the last one was related to DK Oldies. In any case, I hope you crush your disease. This stuff always hits me hard. My son at the age of 5 months was diagnosed with a rare (but treatable) form of cancer. Thankfully he is in remission. Best of luck!
Thanks for this video! I've been wanting to clean mine but haven’t opened a Ps5 before. From watching your videos, I was able to work on our Ps4 over the years. I haven't watched a Ps5 tear down for cleaning before though, so this is exactly what I needed to learn. Thanks again!
You are a legend, I love your videos. Thank you for having the courage to do these videos even though you are going through a healing process. I know you will get past this, once you do, promise to braid your hair after you grow it out :D
It'll be awesome if we have the same tutorial for the Series X/S! But that aside, You are the GOAT, Steve! We all love and care for you! I really hope that your sicness is only a Chapter and we still have you for a long time :T
Hey Steve, I noticed on your Flooded Mountain Dew Xbox video at the 2:44 timestamp there's some trace damage on the xbox motherboard right above your flux syringe. Not sure what those traces are for but thought you'd might like to know
OFC You read my mind. I was just thinking about cleaning ours the other day. Kids have it on 24 / 7 so its gotta look like a damn dust bowl on the inside.
What is that fan model? I have the same model fan but it makes a coil whine sound that's so loud and so annoying. I've been trying to see which model that fan is since mine has it too and I can't really take it apart to check for myself because I don't have the tools... Can you please tell me? Thanks!
the slim version hasn't even been out for a year yet so should still be under warranty, contact Sony and get it replaced rather than taking it apart yourself.
@@markrowe8824 I can't, it's from a different country. So the warranty is not available here and I can't really send it to Germany to get it fixed from Turkey.
Steve, any chance you could show how to remove chips without using hot air? For example, by applying hot solder in order to melt existing solder to remove the chip? Hot air stations are expensive and many of us don’t have one.
Great video!!! You always do a detailed video!!! May I ask why you don't use microfiber cloths? For dust removal on the metal heatsink and heat shield?

It might be helpful to have a playlist for the cleaning tutorials. Thanks for producing these!
Can you fix my Nintendo switch
Love your videos!
My ps5's HDMI doesn't work and I don't want to mess up soldering off and on myself lol
@@Tronicsfix can you make a video on replacing the rumble motors and the button circuit board on the PS4 controller

Oh man, hopefully it was caught early and he’s gonna be fine … ✊

You are so right! 👍
I have used your PS5 cleaning video every year. I always have done a stage 2 cleaning and it has always worked great.
I just found this looking for a way to fix my overheating problem and I am blown away by your teaching. I hope you get better soon
I watch every ad on this man's channel, take care of yourself mate! Thank you for your videos!
Mine is 100% clean, and it will forever be. Tip: I left it un-bought at the shop. Free and effective.
Lol, that's one way to keep it clean!
That’s where mine is too & I told em to keep it lay down.
@@InternetListener that's where my collection goes too.
And it never will be used, never expierience true gaming love and compassion and drama. Thats somewhat sad 😢
So how is it yours?

I was pleasantly surprised when I cleaned off my fan, but I've seen some of the hot messes that come across your desk.
Some consoles are soooo dirty!
Wishing you a great weekend, Steve!

No.
Did I was the video in its entirety?
I sure did!
Do I know anything about electronics repair?
No.
Do I care? No. Am I impressed? No. Do I own a slim? Yes! Did I watch the video in its entirety? I sure did! 😅😊

You’re cleaning the cleanest console I’ve ever seen 😅
One of the best channels on UA-cam and mostly because of the host... :)
Glad to see the 30 screws are completely necessary for this console
I hope for the best Steve. We love you and your repair and clean videos. ❤
You make taking most things apart very easy.
I just bought a PS5 slim :)
FINALLY someone is telling me what I need to hear!
It's like the world knew I needed this, thanks!
Glad that modern consoles are decently easy to take apart since they know people will. Need my clean my fat ps5 soon
I’m still scared to do all these on my own. Particularly, unplugging the connectors.

What type of torx screw did you use? because I got some but they just don’t grab the screw?

Great video the step by step guide method was amazing to watch 🎊 I enjoyed it.
There must be something wrong with me. I don't own a playstation, nor do I know anyone who owns a playsataion and yet I watched this whole video.
Thanks for the video sir ! ❤ hope you’re doing great and keep pushing baby!
Great cleaning tutorial! Thank You.
Glad to hear the good news!!
Thank tou very much, my ps5 really needed it.
I would like to see this with an original Xbox One because I have an almost 10 year old Xbox that I still use that has NEVER been taken apart.
I can’t seem to be able to pop it off, is it me overthinking it? because it feels like it’s gonna snap
This is exactly me but it won’t snap I finally took the chance earlier but it will sound like it but it won’t snap off
You're overthinking it. Once you do it for the first time. It becomes kinda fun to take them off.
OFC You read my mind. I was just thinking about cleaning ours the other day. Kids have it on 24 / 7 so its gotta look like a damn dust bowl on the inside.
Bless you Steve!! You do some great work here.
And that's how you clean your PS5 Slim. Nice.
I lost the little adhesive sticker that you need to remove for pulling the fan plug out....is it a problem?
I hope that everything is ok with you ❤ take care man
Another great video!! Hope you are doing well. Best wishes.
Get well soon Steve! I hope you are doing ok.
I can't remember. Have you done one of these videos on the series x?
Nice guide Steve!😊
do you have a site where you resell everything that you've repaired?
How often should I clean it
Depends on how dirty it gets. If you notice dust on the outside then it needs to be cleaned.

Where can I buy the alcohol thing you have that lets you push down and get some on the cloth??? Thank -You my friend
Hey Bud great video as always. How are feeling by the way. I hope everything is going okay🙏
Do you think there us any benefit to cooling if the fan covers is left off?
Steve, any chance you could show how to remove chips without using hot air? For example, by applying hot solder in order to melt existing solder to remove the chip? Hot air stations are expensive and many of us don’t have one.
Great video!!! You always do a detailed video!!!
May I ask why you don't use microfiber cloths? For dust removal on the metal heatsink and heat shield?
Hope you're doing well man!
What a monster power supply man..
Do you have a PS Portal (or two) that you could do a video on? I'm really interested
Would you say that slim model tend to overheat less than fat models?
Honestly I'm not sure. I think they probably overheat less but I'm not 100% sure on that
Hi instead of taking the fan fully out. Can you take the other silver covet off and clean fan without removing it?
11:27 when I was removing it, I rip off the gray part 😢
same is there anything i can do ?
ware did you get that alcohol dispenser from that is really cool i need one of those.
Can y’all do a power supply replacement video for a PS5 Slim? Thanks
