I definitely think the dagger plague weapon deserves some attention. After unlocking its parry/riposte version, it's a very fast, safe, effective way to kill green health. It's also cheap on energy and has a short cooldown.
Enjoying the game at the moment. An important shard farming tip is that they are a guaranteed drop from miniboss type enemies (these are the ones where the music switches to boss music), they don't respawn when killed but if you go back to the hub and return they will respawn allowing you to farm them until you get the shards required to max out the plague weapon. Side missions are especially great for this.
I like this the same as elden though Corvus is like the fantasy character I Always wanted brought to life he is an duelist fighter with shape shifting abilities making him customizable for any situation perfect for me
@@coreymitchell3058 that and lies of P, both look to be the closest to a souls game, cause so far outta all the souls likes I only really enjoyed sinner, mortal shell, and Thymesia is great so far
I bought this game as soon as it came out, 9:30pm August 17th, I was just sitting there on the ps5 playing Bloodborne until my wishlist notified me that the game was finally released, I'm so happy guys, please keep sharing cool tips and tricks for this game!
I would go for the far left talents in counter. Felt almost as tight as Sekiro at that point and helped me beat the first boss much faster. Love how you can switch talents on the fly like that. Just dodging was not doing it for me on the first main boss. Soon as I switched talents for two counter abilities, you have a larger window for a parry but it does less damage. It was worth it as there are many ways to damage enemy's in this game.
Just want to give you a thanks of appreciation. I started watching your videos with Sekiro and have relied on you many times since then. Thank you for your great work.
Great advices! But I disagree with some of the arguments presented. First, deflecting is awesome! it is satisfying and almost essential against mini-bosses and bosses, to the point where you don't need the saber at all since all armor damage is done via deflecting. For those struggling with the timing you can increase the time with the left upgrades. Second, since armor damage is done via deflecting, using the dagger plague weapon is great to deal claw damage. After that I use greatsword for good range and knockdown and bloodlust to heal. They are much better than they spear which has looong cast time and leaves you vunerable.
For bosses atleast the first one best plague weapon is the dagger as it lets you forget about claw since it does 150% damage to wounds and the cooldown is only 1 second never even ran out of energy
I found claw essential for the first boss. The boss just teleports arounds and claw just shuts that down. Boss comes in, deflect, teleports out, claw and your right on his face to attack. I found Claw followed by Saber incredibly effective against the first boss.
@@VentusLionheart there is a perk which makes the dagger into a punish after parry comes out fast and it tracks and as i said does 200% wound damage after I've figured out dagger I've barley dies its so good cause its about 4x faster then the claw and consumes no energy
The dagger is great if you master the blitz attack and how to Deflect/Parry effectively. I find the Long Claw actually pretty effective to use, so an alternative is to use Plauge Weapons to deal Wound damage and the Claw to deal HP damage.
Amazon . Guess they got an invite system my gf did it that way . I didn’t have much faith but within 2 weeks it popped up to buy a disc version with horizon west at retail price . Bout shit myself when u saw that. Worth a shot to give that a go hope this helps
What's anyone or everyone's opinion on this game would love some feedback should I play it or leave it be. I got this and steelrising I'm loving that but haven't tried this game yet
This game remind me of Mortal Shell and The Surge 2, those games themselves have alot of unique ideas, looking good for couple of weeks after the release, but then fallen to the forgotten after few months. And i think this game will have the same fate, because the gameplay mechanics have nothing special. Not really a fan of any souls games, but i can see some different points, make clone souls-games can never be as good as games of fromsoftware. 1. Fromsoftware let you free of choose how your character will be from the start of the game, clone games, they forced you into a form of character background, really uncomfortable. 2. Fromsoftware let you freely explore everything around the game without actually force you to follow a guide too much like other clone games. 3. Fromsoftware's souls games give you a feeling that your character is "just" and a "real" normal human, even when your character got magics or miracles.
It definitely feels a lot like Mortal Shell in that it has a cool new twist on the combat mechanics but the rest of the game feels barebones (although I have nothing against this, sometimes I prefer a leaner focused experience). And yes the plague weapon shards/farming specific enemies also feels a lot like The Surge. It's true that no soulslike will ever reach the heights of the From Software games but I still like that there are other games in the genre.
Point #2 isn't really true. The difference in, say, Bloodborne and Mortal Shell isn't much in this regard. Hell Bloodborne lends itself to using a guide more than something like Hellpoint or The Surge 2
While I get that the Souls games made by Fromsoft are great, I see a lot of nonsense criticisms of other Souls-like. The three points listed here are completely subjective and not even necessarily good. 1. Are you referring to character creation, as in their looks, or builds? In either case, this is completely up to the player. In most Souls games your character is covered by armor so you can't see them. In the case of Sekiro, your character is a completly formed character that has a "forced background" and the game is all the better for it. Nothing here makes Souls games better than competitor games. 2. Only Elden Ring has free open world exploration. The other Souls games are excellent, but they have similar map setups as Souls-clones from other studios. After all they are trying to copy Fromsoft. As open world vs smaller maps is subjective, nothing here makes Fromsoft games better than competitor games. 3. I don't know about this, when your character is overcoming Gods, Eldritch horrors, and Dragons it can make you feel pretty awesome. In any case, feeling like "just" a "real" human is not inherently a pro or con, it depends on the player and what they prefer. Nothing here makes Souls games better than competitor games. Don't get me wrong, the Souls games are amazing and great games. I just feel like people too often put up random arbitrary reasons to praise them and shit on competitors.
dog ive played DS 2 and hardly had issue... i can't even get through the GD tutorial in this game T_T like the feather throw either happens with a 3s delay, or happens immediately, and there's no consistency on WHEN i need to do it? the dodge either makes me phase THROUGH the enemy, or just run straight into their tiddies and guarantee they hit me. deflect hardly has ever worked for me and blocking feels impossible because the animations for attacks/critical attacks are almost impossible for me to tell. i wanna play and like this game but GD dude why is the tutorial so fking hard T_T might just get my money back
I don't know how I feel about this game. I dumped an hour into it, but sometimes feels super cheap (combat mechanics), it's VERY linear, and the camera lags a lot for 5 seconds whenever it loads a new area. It looks good on ps5...So far, it's "ok"...
I feel the same way with elden ring, and I have thymesia a try and the combat feels amazing compared to elden, elden combat feels so clunky and slow here feels responsive fast and like you are actually doing damage. Way better here than on elden
I'm not seeing the green indicator at all. I am color blind but i should be able see an indicator. I'm seriously watching videos and just fighting the same guy over and over and I have no clue what anyone is talking about with this stupid ass "green indicator" what a ridiculous problem to have here.
I've beat, Dark Souls, 2, and 3, bloodborne, and Elden Ring. So I had some skill. Nope. I can't even get passed the spear cunt next to the first boss. Like I'm honestly so fucking angry with this hard stopping me with the repetitive ass "attacking through my own attacks". The amount of health taken when they land a successful hit on me is asinine to play through and I'm nearing a blood vessel exploding. I decided to just delete the game. This is a first for me and I'm just so fucking angry rn. I'm just going to go sleep.
