BetterHelp is not paying me to pin this comment but I'm doing it anyway because I wanna talk to the folks who ain't feeling so hot. Watch my therapy story if you skipped over it (3:21).
TLDR; I've been going to therapy for over a year thanks to BetterHelp, and I went from weekly panic attacks to... well I don't remember my last one. If you don't love it, no worries, you can stop. But maybe give counseling a shot, eh? Talk to someone. Here's the link again: betterhelp.com/daniel

The exact mentality of every SoundCloud rapper
@@xthebigZ25xmissing the entire point of the vid
This is actually a great way to come up with flows/melodies without having to think about lyrics right away.
exactly what i was thinking
It's a well known "trick" to use when composing
Just replay the main beat or melody and start humming/singing/playing whatever comes to mind over it while recording.
Then watch all the nonsense you just made and put some sense into it and maybe some rhymes and you will have your lyrics 😂
I was just thinking that too! Just make up your beats and melodies and put in real lyrics later. BRILLIANT
I mean it’s literally how a lot of people write all music
I would like but 808 likes so can't like
I legitimately need full versions of each song.
I need this to be the top comment!
It's technically just beat presets with auto tune in steroids.
🤣🤣🤣
@@kenz2756 it's GOOD!!! If Daniel don't release them, do us a favor and do your own versions 😂
@@lordadamz6036 Can't, i don't own autotune or have the incentive to learn the software. It sure is something you could play around like this though, it's fun.
As a vocalist, I can confirm that this is how I write melodies on top of music. I go back and place lyrics that go with the melody later.
I've heard of that technique
@@robinhood768Thats the problem some artist forget to add lyrics
Ye does that lol
That's the Brian Eno method. Seeing gibberish to work out the melody first, then gradually work the gibberish into lyrics. This creates lyrics that don't necessarily make sense on their own, but they create a flow of consonants and vowels that turn your voice into more of an instrument.
Andrew Huang does this too, talks about it in a few videos
I sometimes like to listen to foreign music in languages I don't understand, so I can focus on the musicality without the distraction of meaning, so this is actually perfect. If ever Daniel makes an album of "Bowa jeeWAH", this is my commitment to buy it.
This is just my life 24/7. I have a near-inability to understand the lyrics of songs, even in English, unless I pay really close attention to them with the direct intent of understanding them. So, whenever I like a lyrical song, it very rarely has anything to do with the lyrics or message, but rather just the way it sounds. This is also why I almost always prefer purely instrumental music (I count acapella in that category).
Also, when I was first taking Spanish, my teacher suggested listening to songs in Spanish to help with understanding the language, and when I asked how I'm supposed to do that when I can barely even understand songs in English she seemed really confused.
@@KingNedya As a non native English speaker, I get the luxury to basically decide whether or not I want to pay attention to the lyrics. Other than the choruses or some particularly clear lines I have to make a little bit of effort to understand the lyrics, it's not automatic as it is for natives. Anyway getting lyrics wrong is pretty common, there should be a database of misheard lyrics somewhere that is pretty hilarious (Kiss This Guy or something like that)
@@KingNedya Same for me! You're the first person I know who's said that they also can't discern lyrics in songs. I also like songs because of how they sound, but sometimes others are listening with me and they question the lyrics, and then I get really self conscious about what I've been listening to, haha.
@@KingNedya Hey, this might be completely out of left field, but just thought I'd say something, just in case. Is your inability to pick up on words just a music thing, or do you have difficulty in general speech too? For me, when people talk to me, I can **hear** what they say, but I struggle to **listen** to what they say. I have difficulty concentrating enough to take it in and follow along, and tend to zone out alot.
I haven't gotten a diagnosis yet, but I've been looking at ADHD as a possible cause. I thought ADHD was just a hyperactivity thing, but there's different types, and looking at the symptoms of the 'inattentive type' is like looking at a list of how people would describe me.
As I said, this could be out of left field, and completely irrelevant to you. I just thought that I should say something though, in case there was a reason why you experience this, and you were unaware like I was my whole life. If it's just the one thing, you can probably ignore me. It might be worth looking into though, if you have other symptoms.
@@jcoulton4 I actually have been diagnosed with ADHD inattentive type (formerly called ADD), and when I was younger I had combined type, but I calmed over time to now being about as calm as can possibly be, with my only hyperactivity being fidgeting or bouncing my leg while sitting. And while I haven't been diagnosed with it yet, we also believe my ADHD is itself a symptom of autism, along with my sensory processing disorder (my sensory processing disorder is primarily to do with how I process taste and smell, so while it could be part of my lyrical difficulties, I doubt it).
And while I do have some minor difficulties with speech, all my difficulties stem from stumbling over myself and my words, because I'm a perfectionist and like to say things the "right" way, but what ends up happening instead is I say it in a sub-part manner, so I feel the need to repeat until I feel I fully get my point across effectively (like "psuedo-stuttering"). As far as the actual understanding of speech goes, I'm actually really good at it, and reading comprehension is my greatest strength according to every standardized test I've taken such as the ACT and the SRI. It's just that once the words become lyrics, I sort of zone out and focus more on the musical melody. Also I can't understand spoken Spanish for the life of me, but I'm just fine reading it.
If Daniel was as good at rapping as he is at making these fire beats, we’d have the second coming of Eminem.

I read that right when he was grunting into the microphone
“Igowallah: The Prequel”
That’s exactly what I was thinking too
Igowallah lore keep expanding
Dude's ahead of his time, yo. If Snoop Dogg can get away with "ibble kibble fo' shizzle ma nizzle whatchu sizzle", no reason this guy can't flow in his own language. If it sounds good, it sounds good
We need “Igowallah: The Sequel” then. Then maybe an Igowallah movie. Then after that an Igowallah book. Maybe after that we can have an Igowallah company. Then after- am I going too far?

as a guy with horrible hidden hearing loss (Not an ear issue, a brain issue that ruins my ability to understand what I'm hearing if it comes with backgroud noise) this may as well be hip hop.
I struggle with this too! I have really terrible anxiety and if a stranger approaches me to, say, ask for directions, if it isn't over enunciated English I just won't understand a single word they say. A few months ago my sister and I were hanging out outside our apartment complex and a delivery guy came up to us to ask where a certain building was. He had a bit of an accent, and every word he said sounded like complete gibberish to me. I was stunned when my sister was able to point him in the right direction with ease, and when I told her that, she was surprised I didn't catch what he said. That was also the day I learned I even had this issue. Kinda glad to know I'm not alone in this!
@@rivertwyx I don't thin that's anxiety. Not saying you don't have anxiety, but I just think that isn't really a symptom of it, correct me if I'm wrong. I'd look into "hidden hearing loss" it doesn't get picked up on by normal hearing tests because it isn't an ear issue, but a mental processing issue.
I did not know it was a thing. Thank you!
I've just read an article and it may explain my problems. I have above average hearing (I play cello and piano and medical hearing tests for work always end with high above average results) but, at the same time, I have A LOT of everyday situations where I hear sounds but do not hear the meaning (while others around me have no problems). It's hard to explain, but it gets me in troubles, especially when I do not see the person I speak to i.e. Skype call, phone call etc.
Thanks again! Maybe there's a solution to that. I need to do my research
@@dariusz.9119 Happy you figured it out! My hearing is actually pretty good, as well, (I can always hear really quiet soumnds if it's quiet and I ace hearing tests) but I can never hear a song lyric, if theres music on I cannot hear, and when someone answers a question I have to ask for like, ten repeats. Mad props on the complete and thorough list of crisis line contacts in the description. The effort does not go unnoticed.
Okay, I actually really really really love the sound of all of those songs. How do you even do those vocal effects? I would 100% listen to those songs regularly. For real. PLEASE UPLOAD THEM SOMEWHERE
Those lyrics really resonate with me🤣
But seriously that's a sick beat🤗
I think your comments are broken.
The fact I actually would add these songs to my playlist if I could make me understand why people don’t understand gen z
I’m gen z and I don’t like hip hop
Unpopular opinion: this hip hop series is the best ever done by Daniel
2:12 *owo*
Considering the comments, I don't think that's an unpopular opinion.
I agree with your opinion
I'm being completely honest here, the rapping was actually fire! I'd listen to a full album of this stuff
People you need the full video
I take issue with this-he *_clearly_* understands hip hop.
All of his videos are just so good and hilarious😂
we need a part 3, honestly we need a part 1,000 cause this hits. u should make a playlist just of songs like this and part 1 tbh
igowallah
1:10 The confusion on his face- 💀
Funny as usual!
On a serious note, I’m thankful you have this sponsorship because I desperately need someone to talk to and this may help. I wouldn’t be surprised if I get diagnosed with anxiety/agoraphobia or other things
I unironically want an album rn
3:16 "should we call 911"
💀 This had me rolling bru-
2:50 Dude that gave me chills I’m not even joking
I’m glad i stayed up for this
You should really release a full album with numbers like these
You know it’s a good video when the first line is “hey hoodie guy”
I like how Daniel is able to remake like five sketches multiple times and make them unique and funny each time.
He be spitting so fast that it takes your brain at least a decade to finally piece together what he's rapping about
The pure fire when he hopped onto that beat🔥️🔥️🔥️🔥️... I still haven't recovered 😳🙌
Good on you for knowing to get help, and for advocating for the mental health of others. Everyone needs help at sometime and it should be celebrated when we actually try to get better.
"Hey Hoodie Guy"
"Yo"
"Check out those beats real quick"
*teleports you to heaven*
This video was amazing, from the music to the comedy to the sponsorship
I've been saying "blippity skippidy" to my kids so long my wife is starting to worry about me.
Thank you for this sponsor, seriously. Which is kind of a weird thing to say 'cause it's like "thanks for getting sponsored" but..
Anyway, all I'm gonna say is that I needed to find this service, and you showed it to me, so thank you ♥
I genuinely look forward to seeing what hoodie guy is able to come up with
*When he said, "wakaba wiwa wuwa", he could change the world 🤧✋️*
you have to admire the amount of musical skill that it takes to even make a parody like this
