The pressure of being a baddie is out of control. I'm always being questioned about my "non baddie " aesthetic and have people (it only comes from black people, mostly women) giving their unsolicited advice on how I need to try lashes, beating my face, shorter/tighter dresses, straight hair/wigs/weaves, acrylic nails, red/ white nail polish etc. because they never see me in those things, but NONE of those things appeal to me. A woman can still be beautiful, dressed up and have an elevated appearance without being in head to toe "baddie" uniform.
I'm also slim, but I'm a pear shape and a late bloomer. My style is basically a vintage boho beach princess, which involves lots of long flowy skirts and dresses, simple makeup, dingly novelty jewelry, my natural nails in colorful polishes, and of course my natural hair. Wearing Love shack Fancy, Free people, Lucky brand, and cottagecore won't ever make me a baddie, and I'm okay with that. ❤️☺️ I'm happy you embraced your unique beauty despite the pressure!

Whatever style you choose just be cute. Men don’t care about that. I get called plain Jane/ girl next door. And they still be on my top. In the club with my girl next door look still getting “damnnn” when I walk by ❤ Don’t impress other women. Impress yourself… that in turn will impress other people. I tried the baddie aesthetic and I felt uncomfortable like I was showing/ doing too much. Find the “sexy version” of YOUR aesthetic and the rest will follow.

@@jasminscarbrough2596 Respectfully, I'm not interested in the sexy versions of any aesthetic at all and I don't need advice on fashion, looking cute or on men; what's most important to me is my authenticity and decorum in regards to my personal style and how I choose to carry myself. I do agree with you on the discomfort with trying the baddie aesthetic though because it also made me feel uncomfortable in the past to try certain elements of it.

@@doll.ov.poetrii4682 respectfully, I don’t really care what you look/dress like. I really be writing stuff in case some little black girl ( or women sometimes) is reading and just drop little gems because I didn’t have this type of platform growing up. We honestly said the the same though. Be yourself. I just added be cute while doing it and the rest will follow.

@@jasminscarbrough2596 Sis, I wasn't being catty or rude. If my response came off that way, it wasn't my intention and I do apologize if my tone seemed unfriendly. The advice seemed geared directly to me because it was posted underneath my comment, that's why I replied that I respectfully didn't need it, but I understand now that you were speaking in general. Mybad! 🤝

I always enjoyed my slim body as a teen but also fell slightly into this trend.
I also became insecure as teen because of the baddie aesthetic. Aka Hourglass, small waist, big hips, BBL.
My way to achieve it was to create a routine with fitness blender. But I saw no change only butt just more muscular thighs, so I stop.
I always was proud of my slim/flat body shape. Because the women, I look up to were of the model aesthetic aka Tyra Banks. I would watch all of her show and even developed my clothes drawing, lol. That trend still got on me as a teen, weird.
Now, I am a young women and I really re-enjoy being slim🤩/ fat🤓😂. I also go to the gym now…to get even slimmer😊.
    Being slim is powerful. ❤

I think girls should go to the gym if they want that hour glass shape. The surgery is just too dangerous. Especially if you go to an alley surgeon.

Yes I will always recommend the gym over surgery any day 🤎
